Elizabeth, I'm so glad you are okay and healing. I would think the pain in your hands is from something new you have had to start like the crutches rather than too much needlework, but who knows. Hoping you stay right along the path the pros think your recovery will take.
I have a similar wish, blessed.

Well -- I tackled a couple things today:
* I tried out that little chainsaw I bought. That thing worked GOOD! I didn't need to do a lot on the shrubs near the house, but there was a cedar tree branch that is in our way when we pull out of the driveway. I *THINK* I cut it out of the way. The troublesome one may be higher than I can reach, but I trimmed a few of the branches out and it worked just great.
* Changed sheets -- well, hopefully that will be completed in an hour or so... the sheets are in the dryer now...
* Did zone vacuuming in the master bathroom, and made an attempt at organization of all the *STUFF* in there... that is REALLY a super hot-spot for me because it's where I keep my cardfile, Bible, planner, EVERYTHING. Plus jewelry and make-up, of course. I really need to spend the suggested 15 minutes (and probably a lot MORE) EVERY DAY for a week in there. Jewelry box is a mess... papers related to planning, etc -- a mess... it's all a mess... but at least it's not dusty anymore.
* Cleaned dh's shower
I also had time for a nap while "watching" basketball game with dh. I just couldn't hold my eyes open after eating supper.
WTG, to LadyM's dd!!! DGS is in the gifted program at his school and he loves it. They go to an off-campus center once a week (just a mile or so away, and they go on a bus) and they do special projects like working with drones and 3D printers and things like that.
Also, a brag on dgs -- he was elected classroom leader from his homeroom today. He thinks this goes in the yearbook. When I was in high school, each homeroom nominated someone and then the homeroom winners ran against each other and the whole grade winner went in the yearbook -- but when I was in middle school, we didn't even have a yearbook, LOL, so what do I know?
Anyway... I am so happy for this little guy who obviously has behaviors on the autism spectrum, but who apparently is doing just fine socially. He has really been blessed with some wonderful loving,, caring, and understanding teachers ever since he first started pre-school and that has made a huge difference in his development, I'm sure.
Their team won last night, so will play again Thursday... and if they win then, they will play Saturday.
At the same time that Alabama and Auburn play basketball. DH said, "They better win if they play Saturday."
DH was sooo hoping to go to the college game, but of course dgs comes first.
DGS has still not scored a single point in two years of basketball... but he has gotten a little more aggressive and has gotten some rebounds and assists. He only played a few minutes last night, because it was a tough game, and Thursday will be more so, but he seems like he enjoys every minute of it and never complains about his playing time or anything. The "star" of our team told him Saturday, "I'm going to try to get you a shot in our next game," but the opportunity never came about. But again, I'm just glad he seems well-liked by his teammates and gets along with everyone. He doesn't have any really close friendships, doesn't do play-dates and outings and things like that with others, but he seems perfectly happy 24/7.
(BTW, dh also said if Alabama wins Saturday, he'll be glad he missed it. And judging from our last couple of games, that is a distinct possibility.)

Lucy dgd son is on the wrestling team in collage has not won a match yet but is going to be
a coach when he graduates!
I got some chicken soup ready to freeze up 9 pints of it.
Cleaned up the kitchen again.
I tackled the book case had to sit on the floor my stool was in the basement sigh oh well it is done now.
It was just a 2 shelf one I took out all the book journals etc. sorted them and some will be leaving soon.
I am hoping to get room for the books that I am actually reading, and journals I am using. Glad for that zone work done.
Laundry is current.
My vacuum died so I am hoping to find a replacement soon I want a purple one but we will see what they have.
At least I finished 99% of it.
I showered.
