((((RR)))) It's good to see your CI. Hopefully your body will soon return to normal and the test results will not show anything.
We had a couple hours with drop-in visitors.
** DSisIL came by to visit. Since she is going through chemo they have told her to limit her time around people especially not be in crowds. This change in activities has resulted in her being lonely. It's a difficult time (physical/mentally/emotionally) for anyone to go through chemo.
** DD46 also dropped by for a visit. Her SO is in Australia, so she is lonely too. DD46 asked DD11 to spend the weekend with her so she would have someone to talk to.
** DBroIL stopped by to leave tax documents for DMIL. DH will take them to CPA and hopefully that will be the very last step to close out DMIL estate.
I can finally see clear progress with decluttering/deep cleaning. I have 8 rooms that stay company ready now. I spend about 3 minutes daily in each of those rooms to maintain them. I am consistently making tiny progress in the other rooms. I have hopes of someday having all the rooms decluttered & deep cleaned. #Dreams #Goals

Re: Friday Fluff
Friday Fluff...describes my hair today I guess.
I washed away the grey last night and then slept in rollers. I've let it grow for a while now and the back is down past my shoulders. Today it has fluffy curls.
Study today was fun with our brunch first. Food was great! Somebody brought smokies baked with bacon wrapped around them. Yum! I sent banana bread and muffins home with whoever wanted some. There is enough left for us to eat.
I stopped on the way home to get milk. The store I usually go to has awful milk. Their buy by date is usually only 5 days or so ahead, and after I bring their milk home it sours in a day or two. So I go to a more expensive store and buy theirs, which lasts longer. After I got home I had to help DH with some paperwork...and he's gone off to see about a bill. I did a procrastination item, called the audio clinic where DH got his hearing aids. Much to my surprise, I found out he can go down there during their open hours and get the rechargeable batteries replaced. I am so glad about this. Last time we had to send them away and wait a couple weeks for them to be fixed and sent back. I find out that was only during lock-downs. This is much easier. Life is so much easier when he's wearing them and we can communicate easily.
Lucylee, why would they need birth certificates for those kids, so young?
I'm wondering how Dee and DH are doing. I imagine that long trip was hard on her and him. I hope they're ok.
Also, holding good thoughts for blessed and DH.

Re: Friday Fluff
Harmony, birth certificates are to verify that they kids aren't overage for the league they're playing in. Older players would likely have an advantage because they would be bigger and probably more coordinated.
I finally reconciled the bank stmt for the temple cemetery account for Dec and while working on it, rec'd the stmt for January and reconciled it too. I also called and scheduled an appt for dog for influenza shot - she got the first one in Dec but I didn't get her back within two weeks for the booster so I have to start over. She needs a nail trim too - her last visit she was too wound up for front ones to be trimmed. A couple more things crossed off my list.

RR~ I am now reading Encore in Death. I just re-read Desperation in Death to refresh my memory. One of the main characters was expecting baby #2, and there was interaction between the main character and baby #1, which is always enjoyable to read, so that is partly why I re-read Desp. In Death. Hopefully there will be another appearance by baby #1 in this book. This child isn't in every book.

Re: Friday Fluff
Y'all can just skip this if you're not interested in small town drama --
dh said last night, when he saw I was telling y'all all about this, "They don't care about that..."
Right, Twins -- that's the reason for the birth certificates. I don't remember ever being at a game where a coach questioned it, and last year, oh my goodness -- there was a boy on the other team who was bigger than any of the coaches -- and this was supposed to be 10-and-under league! (He actually plays for the same community that made the big fuss last night, so maybe they had experience with people questioning them? Who knows?) We were all just amazed when we played them last year. I mean, he was tall AND big. Our little boys looked like toddlers next to him. Another boy on the same team was tall but very skinny. I've noticed that both of these two moved up to the 12-and-under league this year, and it could be that their birthdays fall so they just barely made the cut to stay with the 10 year olds last year. We have two boys in dgs' class who have already turned 11 this year. DGS is one of the youngest in his class. But for baseball, he will be in 10 and under again, because the cut-off is May 1. However, he will turn 11 in June, so he's one of the older ones there. Basketball has a different cut-off.
(Of course he doesn't play football, but I'm pretty sure they still have age and weight requirements in youth leagues.)
Well -- the plot thickens on this whole little youth league soap opera. They have moved the finals to the community of the team that won by forfeit. (We suspect after calling the sheriff's office yesterday, the host school said they didn't want to deal with any of them anymore. The host school won't be in the finals anyway.)
HOWEVER, the league offered to let them make up the game today, but the "winners" declined. You think? DH said, "Why on earth did they think they would be willing to risk losing when they had already been proclaimed the winners?" Apparently, they are still the winners, and we expect to play them tomorrow.
DS said, "If that bunch knows enough to bring birth certificates, anyone should. They are the most rag-tag bunch I've ever seen. They show up with three different uniform combinations and a different number of players every game, but they are prepared."
They come from probably the poorest area of our county, and as far as having different rosters, apparently they bring up younger boys when they are running short, which is perfectly legal.
We have just laughed and laughed. Of course, we're well aware we may be crying when it's all over tomorrow. Not really -- we're not that concerned about it. We're just happy dgs is happy and seems to enjoy his teammates and coaches. But we may get beat tomorrow. After all this other team has been through (they're the same ones that won the first game with only three players; the other three fouled out) if anyone's going to beat us, I'm glad it will be them. They represent the school my dad graduated from.

As far as the rest of life in Lucyland... well, there's not a lot to tell.
DH woke me up early because he wanted to get his bloodwork done before he ate anything. So s2s and off we went. Then we came home and slept most of the day.
DS called to update us on the changes in game location, etc.
Doctor called to tell dh his bloodwork was normal and he wanted to check it again in a month.
I've talked to dmom.
We ate supper.
See... nothing much going on here. DGS is feeling better and will go to the game tomorrow.
DS and DGD are at the "Daddy Daughter Dance" tonight. She'll spend the night with us afterwards.
Looks like we'll have both dgrands Sunday till school drop off time Monday. DS is going out of town tomorrow and ddil is working.
Oh -- the photos -- thanks, Kathryn for saying I was motivating you. I feel most of the time I'm the weak link here in PWYC. Sometime, I'm going to measure the space these albums are taking up. It is really ridiculous, but I guess I do have the space for them and dh actually does look through them sometimes to see when something happened, etc.
I guess I want to keep all this because the photos from my grandparents' houses are some of my most treasured memories. I have all my paternal grandparents' -- some in a box and a couple in albums. When I was little, I loved nothing more than to dig out the big black box my grandmother kept those photos in and look through them. So, I'm hoping dgrands will be the same way when they are older. Right now, everything is so digital that they don't really get into the albums much, but I don't really trust digital files. I do have all my pictures from 2011 on file in my computer AND on an external disk.
* BUT I just checked to see how far that external disc went back, and it says "Must format the disc to access." That doesn't sound good. It was working just fine a few days ago! What's up with that?
Harmony, my hair is in Friday Frizz day. I washed it Wednesday and actually had a fairly good hair day... not too much gel, not too little, curls were good. Yesterday was kinda iffy, but I wore it loose. Today it is in the Must Use a Barrette stage. Actually -- I guess it's a butterfly clip? What do you call them? It's half-up, half-down, just pulled the sides back.
Boy, LadyM, IKWYM about tree allergies. I tested positive for trees, grasses, and weeds so it's constant for me -- but it does seem that I've had these itchy eyes, nasal congestion, etc, earlier this year. They say allergies seasons are getting longer as climate change occurs.
(I'm not completely sold on climate change being in our control -- first, how did we get out of the Ice Age if climate change didn't occur naturally... and second, how much difference will our efforts make if other parts of the world continue to pollute and have no restrictions. We've had some record highs AND record lows here in my recent memory, and some -- according to our weather reports -- occurred back in the early 1910s and 20s, so I just think it goes in cycles.)
But anyway -- when the trees start blooming, I start sneezing and it won't stop till the frost kills everything.
And I still take two shots per week and a Claritin every day. When it's really bad, I add Chlortabs (Wmart brand), Flonase, and itchy eye drops.
Just wanted to say hello to EVERYONE.
Thinking of all who are dealing with the three S's... AND especially all who have sick dh's... Y'all hang in there.

Re: Friday Fluff
Lucylee: you tell that dh of yours that we are interested and it was especially relevant today since the theme was fluff and listening to the drama of small town sports is perfect fluff for the rest of us.
Unfortunately, the downside is I'm rooting for the rag tag team which makes me feel like a traitor!
Not a very productive day here but:
1. we drove down to the Seaway and picked up the car seat. Installed it and it works and leaves room for a skinny non-car seat user in the middle seat and possibly someone in a really narrow, booster seat. If the two car seats are side by side, there's no way to buckle up the last seat belt so it can't be used by person or booster seat. Basically, as I already knew, I can't get all 3 in the car at once without getting rid of my car seats and spending $1200 to $1500 on fancy skinny ones. It would be cheaper to rent a van or a second car and take 2 cars for those days.
But now I can at least take 2 of them easily.
2. On the way down in the car, I got Quicken updated.
3. On the way back I did a bit of work on the AGM files. Plus we did a bank deposit and bought raisins.
4. I got the AGM files sent out this evening.
5. I had a chat with my childhood BFF.
6. I finished reading another book to dgs (and dgd who has been listening too.)
7. There was a fire alarm (cutting my call with my BFF short and delaying my skype call with the grands although I joined so they could hear the alarm and could see the fire trucks arriving.) It was actually on my floor at the other end. A pan left on the stove unattended, lots of smoke, no fire, but the alarms went off. Because it was my floor, staff were here and assured us, despite the smoke, we didn't have to walk down.
I'm off to bed, late again. And tomorrow I have to meet with the treasurer and do another mail out. But at least this one is done.
