Sunday PWYC
I'll start us out today. No theme, I guess it's all our own to make!

Re: Sunday PWYC
It's Surgery Sunday here. I'm not sure when I should get there. They are supposed to let me know by cell phone when he goes to OR and when he's in recovery. I checked to be sure they had right phone no. before I left yesterday. Not sure where he will go post surgery - back to the "room" he was in with a curtain? Regular room? I'm pretty sure I won't be bringing him home, although I can't be sure. Forgot to ask last night. So many questions.
I know I'll just have to sit around and wait so I think there's no big hurry to get there.
I need to do at least some of a.m. routine.
Ordered myself a "four corners" pizza last night and it was late and really not that good. Have I lost my taste for pizza or was it just not that good?
Thinking about Mr. Dee and his interminable hospital stays and wellness issues. I hope the camera thing gets the bleeding figured out and that can be fixed, and the transfusions get some strength back.

Re: Sunday PWYC
I completely forgot it's Super Bowl Sunday, Nancy.
Dh is out of surgery in recovery room and I'm heading to hospital now. Dog was walked. in the rain because she didn't want to potty in the back yard.
Doc said he might come home today, or if not today, then tomorrow.

So glad surgery is over, Twins! I hope recovery goes quickly and easily.
Boy, I’m envious of y’all who can leave your dh’s at the hospital and get some rest… here, dh has such claustrophobia that if he is in the hospital, we are BOTH in the hospital… shaking my head. He just can’t stand it if I leave him for anything. Thank goodness it has been awhile since he was that sick.

Tomorrow is another day.

Re: Sunday PWYC
There is some sort of sports event on tv later today...
I've swept and washed all the floors. Dh went to the store to get some regular apple cider and a bag of cheesies, because we know how to party around here... (We are so boring!)
W are having boiled cabbage, boiled potatoes and a smoke pork hock for supper. I don't know if I will heat it up or not. I'm sure there is something I can do with it. I really want to use the rest of the cabbage.
I also boiled a dozen eggs this morning and then had 3 for my breakfast.
It's gorgeous and sunny outside. Possibly above freezing.

Re: Sunday PWYC
Twins', I can't remember well, since it was 16 years ago, lol, but I think HRh came home that night and didn't stay over. I remember wondering if I was prepared for his after care, but it had been laparoscopic, so it wasn't so bad.
Prayer meeting online last evening was really good. No one wanted it to end.
Dstepson came over and visited with us this a.m.
Cathy, it does seem as though I heard of some sports program.

Re: Sunday PWYC
We got dh's biopsy report (2 days after he knew but forgot to tell us
) - He does NOT have cancer in his lungs. It is scar tissue not a tumor or a fungus!!! That's a huge relief.
He is still in the hospital but we are hoping that he will be home this week.
it turns out the company that the hospital ordered his equipment and product from never ordered what he needed. (Lots of red tape) He should have been out last week. He is ready. So now we wait to get the correct supplies. The hospital was going to send him home and we told them that nothing was delivered - the company told the hospital that his supplies were here. DD older, the care manager, the nurse and I straightened the whole thing out (I hope) on Friday. I will know on Monday if the company acknowledges the supplies.
He is now walking the halls - still on a feeding system and is very very very skinny but getting stronger. He walks around now and has started working on stairs.
Wishing you all the best!!! I just wanted to let you know the current status of dh.

((((Dee & DH)))) in hospital
((((Blessedw2 & DH))))) in hospital
((((Twins & DH))))) in hospital
((((Kathryn & DH)))) waiting
Blessed & Twins - that is great news about your DH's. Successful surgery & no cancer is always such a big relief!
I kept myself home from church this morning due to weepy eyes, active sinuses, and sneezing. I am 99% sure this is allergies but out of an abundance of caution I'm staying away from crowds.
Lunch was spiral ham, homemade bread, mashed potatoes, green beans and green salad.
Supper - The kids have a super bowl party this evening which will have plenty of food/snacks. DH and I will have leftovers or whatever. I made a couple dozen applesauce muffins last night and there are a few of them still available.
Twins - I remember a pillow being extremely helpful when DH had his gallbladder surgery. DH held the pillow over his abdomen on the ride home to limit the movement and seatbelt from touching the surgery area.
