Thinking how clean Harmony and Cathy bedrooms are after the deep cleaning they received. And also thinking of RR freshly organized dresser drawers and closet. I'm NOT thinking how clean my bedroom is....because it isn't one of the 8 rooms that I've managed to declutter, deep clean and do daily maintenance. #Dreams #Goals

I cooked 9 hamburgers. I just now realized I have planned to cook cheeseburgers....but I forgot to put the cheese on to melt. Ohs well. There are 4 kids here so the chance of the hamburgers lasting very long on the counter is slim and none.

I finished planting the rest of the onion slips. All 150-225 onions transplants are in the raised bed gardens now.
I decided to not transplant the broccoli seedlings yet, because I want to give other seeds time to pop through before I disturb the soil.

next up - plan homeschool lessons for the week. Add them to DS14 calendar

Unusually quiet Sunday. Only dgs was with us this afternoon. I went to Wmart by myself but he helped me unload everything.
I took the trash to the road and we are now on our way to eat supper with ds and dgrands.
I haven’t done any of my other Sunday tasks, but when we get home I’ll do them, will probably take less than 20-25 minutes. I really shouldn’t complain so much.

I think I just hit a big slump last week. I’m truly feeling a lot better now, for no apparent reason.

Nancy, I have read that book — I loved it!

Hi, everyone.

Friday dd43 drove me out to appt and to pick up supper. She was going to bring a book to read in the waiting room and I thought she'd forgotten it. Nope. She says, "I brought plenty of my books" and pulls out her Kindle which is thin, thin. Easily fitting in her purse. Doesn't look like the Kindles we used to buy for dd24 in HS and college.

Yesterday was like a day off. HRH got things done, maybe. I didn't.

Online prayer meeting was so nice last night. This has been a good routine to me. HRH likes his morning study better.

Today we ordered and had groceries delivered. The weather is fine. We're just picking our battles right now.

Project of the organizing of my sewing room and office continues. HRH moved a lot of small furniture around this afternoon.

For me, the main change is that the curvy-sided white cart from the other house is now in here and it fits where I'd hoped. Doesn't block the vent. This 35-year-old piece is so sweet and sort of represents "home" to me.

For HRH, the main change is that a corner desk unit is fitted into a corner and gives a somewhat continuous surface of 3 pieces. I'm not really going to use it as contiguously as he'd hoped, but close. He made this piece himself before we married. It's also white.

It's nice to use our own loved things. It would be efficient to buy new but not as welcoming. Also, not thrifty in a room that speaks of thrifty uses.

I have been reading here with great interest ❤️ about health/recuperation progress, and about the pondering over depression.

Right now, I think I could make a case for depression, but I have no idea if my evidence of it holds up. I nap. A lot. So, do I nap because it seems to me like the thing to do, or do I nap because my body is responding to a physically nap-inducing situation at this time. No way to know. I have been told to lie down when tired, so, yeah, I lie down, but am I expecting to need to lie down. A puzzlement. One thing for sure, the 10 o'clock bedtime idea is only marginally helpful if I zonk out midday. I am as likely to be wandering around like a night owl, and not such a wise one, either (smile).

Let's everybody get better, okay? I think that would be a good idea. Let's do that.

Yes lets do that! If I didn't nap in late afternoon or early evening I would be sleepy earlier at night. I don't lay down but finally sit to take a break or am between chores while making dinner, or sometimes after I eat, it just comes over me and I wake up a bit later confused as to the time and what's going on. Oh, I've been sleeping.

Yesterday after all the cleaning, I cleaned the filters in the vacuum and set them out to dry. I took the roller out and cleaned it and the brush beside that. I use my stitch ripper to cut and pull off all the hair and lint. Mine was really bad. When it won't turn any more I have a light on top which tells me it needs attention. I always vacuum and then mop. I hate things being under the bed because then it's hard to clean under there. My vacuum has a hinge on the handle so it can be pushed almost flat to the floor. I attack under things from all sides to get it all. A dust mop works too and my spin mop reaches under. Maybe I don't get 100% of it, but 98% is enough.

Took DH to the barber shop (!) last night. He was looking ridiculous. Church today, then I stopped to pick up Rx and a couple things. I was bushed after that. Nap time again.

Running out of ideas for softer foods for DH. He thought I was crazy offering to make scrambled eggs. We had soup and some scalloped potatoes. Pudding. I don't think he'd eat anything pureed!

Homeschool assignments are planned and recorded. I will be gone for several hours during homeschool this week, so I had to be extra careful about the assignments I gave.

I'm not enthused about going to the city four times this week. There are 2 medical appt, a meeting with investment advisor, and a fancy dinner. This will be our first IRL meeting with our investment advisor since covid happened. We had some telephone meetings over the past 3 years, but they kept their offices closed even after every other business was open. If I weren't so focused on other things, I would move all our investment away from them.

I feel like I take twice as long to get things done because I am frequently distracted with other things happening around me.
DS14 had 2 friends here most of the afternoon.
DD11 cleaned out her backpack and gave me a pile of papers to go through.
DS14 sold DBro's pickup for him today. DS14 listed DBro pickup online last night and it sold within 24 hours.
DS14 sold his 4-wheeler today. This is the same 4-wheeler he bought last week and rode for about 16 hours until it broke.
DH had a board meeting after church tonight.
DS14 stayed after church to set up tables/chairs for Wednesday night meal.
'
I am feeling sorta left out and like the weird one. I hesitate to post this......but I almost never nap. Am I the only one? Napping seems to be a normal activity for everyone. Maybe I should be talking to my doctor about this. I sleep 7-8 hours a night but don't nap.

LadyM, I think if you feel good and don’t feel you need a nap, you should just be thankful and consider yourself blessed! It sounds like you have a good sleep schedule and you are doing exactly as you should.

OTOH — here I have been depressing myself because I need more sleep and then — WOW — finally got to sit down and do my devotional reading for today and the title is: INVITATION TO REST. I’d say that’s a pretty good sign for me, wouldn’t y’all?

So — I have a new attitude. I am focusing on
— listening to my body
— giving myself credit for every accomplishment
— practicing gratitude every day

(((Harriet))) Do take care of yourself and listen to your body! We can’t have my last week’s depression spreading through our village!
Tomorrow is another day.
