kept more than one bull in a pasture, they would fight.
When a new bull is put in with the existing group of bulls, they establish the pecking order. They bellow, butt heads, push each other around and throw dirt up with their feet, etc. But it is a quick process, usually taking less than an hour or so, especially if the new fella is a young bull. Afterwards it is like they all come to an agreement and the antics are over. They eat, drink and stay grouped together as if they like each other. The key to the bulls remaining calm and getting along is to not have any cows or heifers (females) anywhere near the bulls. When it is time for the bulls to go to work, they loaded up and each bull is put in a pasture where the cows & heifers are and stay there for a couple of months. Then the bulls are put back into the trailer and hauled back to the bull pasture to wait for the next yearly breeding season. Many ranchers use AI now instead of keeping bulls.

Today has been a challenging day with DS14. Thankfully, we are able to stop talking and let some time pass when we disagree. No....you are not going to go shoot ar gun with your friend. I don't care if your friend's dad will be monitoring. No, we are not driving 6 hours to meet a stranger to sell a vehicle paying with $$$$$ cash. Absolutely not happening. It is easier to have a productive conversation after waiting a bit for his emotions to calm down. It doesn't change my answer but letting some time pass gives him time to accept it.

I have planted two types of peas in the raised bed garden. Both are types of early peas that can handle a bit of freezing weather. Sugar Snap peas and Snow peas.

I cooked multiple patties of cheeseburgers for lunch and to have extra for later.

Dh never did find the leak. He even brought the customer in and they both looked all over the bottom of the vehicle. Customer could find a leak either. Dh explained about how you get the bottom of your vehicle wet with all kinds of other people's stuff, plus the snow and whatever, and all of that drips off when you are parked... etc., etc....

Now another customer, but also a really nice neighbor has his van in the garage because his w iper moto r isn't working again. This is a very old vehicle and parts are next to impossible to find, and we have fixed/replaced w iper moto r at least twice, but here we go again. The van is expected to be here all weekend.

Another customer is due here on Monday at 9 a.m., so that van has to be out of the garage before that.

Steak went into a zippered bag a few hours ago to marinate in the "chilli chicken" sauce which was just leftover green peppers and garlic in a dark brown sauce. Now it is in the oven in a casserole dish. Various other leftover Indian foods are either on the stove top waiting to be reheated, or in a casserole dish waiting for the microwave for a quick reheating (rice) and some Naan bread waiting for a quick trip in and out of the oven. Smells amazing in here and I didn't have to actually create any of it.

Hoping Ken and Kathryn both have a smooth afternoon and evening.

Good evening!

I hope all went well with Ken today; Kathryn may be bringing him home even as I write. Glad things went well at the game for Mr. Dee; I guess I’ve missed the latest on blessed’s DH.

The big event in my day was getting a filling. The folks at my dentist’s office are such nice people. I currently see the SonIL of the woman I first saw. The practice was a husband and wife; their eldest daughter and SIL, after a couple of years in his hometown, moved up here to take over the practice. My dentist, Betty, retired (and I presume spends much time with the grands), and her patients got divvied up between her daughter and SIL; her husband still practices, though he’s cut back some, and his name now comes last on the sign. Anyhow, they’re all good people, and the SIL is a gentle dentist.

Tonight’s dinner will be linguine and clam sauce. DD is quite fond of it, so DH has decided it is time she learned how to make it. I hope all goes well with Twins’ table of nine!

Nine people for a company meal is a BIG deal! Sometimes only the cook realizes this.

What was our subject today: tell us about what went wrong or something...

I'll try to shorten my tale. Our Septic failed. The pump quit working. In the last couple weeks the alarm has gone off for just a few seconds then everything was good. I've been watchful, a bit apprehensive, but all seemed well. I got up to the news that our tanks were full and the pump wasn't pumping liquids into the leach field. Ok. So old clothes on and I helped DH pump it all with a spare sump pump we have for jobsite where the footers in progress fill up with rain water before the concrete goes in. Stinky job.

I washed in a bucket and dumped that on the ground. Fertilizer for the grass. I went off to class and told DH I'd be home asap. I only stayed for the class, not the gathering after for the main teaching. When I got home he was off buying something, turned out lumber to make a skinny ladder. We have so many ladders but all are a bit wide, and one fits but doesn't allow for much movement down in the hole. So ladder made, and DH was down there as I helped and we tried to vaccuum muck out...another awful job. I took vaccuum out of the way to empty, big commercial canister...which had imploded upon itself with the suction and is no longer usable. :x Expensive thing that was...

Working on the wiring to the pump and the float switches... and I kept saying we need to turn something off because those wires are live, and yes I got a ZZZING! and that was all I did of that and we turned off all the power to everything...I don't trust DH around electric stuff, he takes too many chances. He's bought another pump but since the old one fits the plumbing just perfectly he wants to fix this one if he can. A wire is burned there...

And I sure wish he would get out of the mindset that he has to do EVERYTHING himself and not call the man. Our septic guy has closed his business so that doesn't help but I suggested maybe just call him and get some pointers...not necessary I guess. So we might be this way for a while and I'm not a happy camper. Back yard smells wonderful! Just like roses. NOT! I washed his work clothes from today, they'll probably never be really clean.

Sigh.... wondering how it is for Kathryn and DH so far.

Glad to read Dee's DH had such a good time at the game. I'll bet that lifted his spirits a bit after all his struggles.

Oh. My. Goodness. For once in my life, I am giving thanks and praise that dh has no DIY ability whatsoever. (((((Harmony)))))
What an awful job!!! Even my dad never tried to take care of the septic tank and enlist my mom’s assistance, at least not that I ever heard of. Whew! What. A. Day.

DS, has helped his handyman/carpenter do work on his, though. Ugh.

I certainly hope things are better for y’all tomorrow, Harmony. (((((BIG HUGS)))))
Tomorrow is another day.
