I'm trying to stay positive this a.m. - the overnight news from Kathryn is worrisome. and we have so many husbands here whose health is also worrisome.

My dh got lab work results last night from dr appt on Monday and they were worrisome as well - lots of "out of range" readings and A1C was up again as well. Needless to say he was not in a good mood this morning, and then the handle on the toilet in out bathroom broke too.

I didn't post after my workout and trip to the courthouse yesterday. I had to go by the tag office because my payment was processed but I never received the registration and tag for my license plate. Only one in line when I got there, and four stations busy. Then two in line, three, four and five. Finally someone showed up at another station and helped me. So I felt pushed for time when I got to the deed office and the microfilm reader was, let's say, uncooperative. So I gave up. It was just before the office closed, everyone had their purses out and were packed up to leave. So I observed the cardinal rule of courthouse research - keep the clerks happy.

I'm not sure what i'm doing today. I really should figure that out the night before instead of waiting until 9:30 in the morning, shouldn't I?

What I'd like to do is to go upstairs. OTOH, I could do any or all: get a pedicure, go to the courthouse, get groceries and/or go to HD for the part for the toilet.

So many things are happening and needs in our SHE village. ((((Group Hug))))

I'm on hour #3 of my day and everything is going smoothly. Homeschool is underway with a singular focus on studying for the state test. DS14 is doing practice tests that has 995 possible test questions.

I will leave in 30 minutes to take DS14 to family doc appt to find out if his arm is broken. If it is, I expect they will send him to an orthopedic surgeon.

Dh is getting sicker by the hour. I have body aches, but my runny nose is (hopefully) gone.

I've got one load of out the dryer and the load from last night has been switched over. I've swept most of the floors and washed the back hall and the bathroom so far. Dishes are soaking in the sink and I will run the dishwasher today. I was so thrilled when dh did a sink full of dishes and knives and wooden spoons the other day. I went to put things away this morning and everything (even the wooden spoons) were greasy. UGH! How did he do that? Any way, I am now redoing everything. Lots of HOT water and lots of SOAP!

Joining in the wishes! Well put, Twins!

Editing is giving me headaches. My first deadline is Friday (though we have a check-in tomorrow morning). I am supposed to have any guidance and/or requests to the artist so that he can have the art ready when I have the text ready. The expert I am working with, Jim, is not a bad artist in his own right, and has included some potential illustrations. Thing is, they sort of overlap with the existing illustrations, but not completely. So I'm trying to figure out how to get all the information in there. If I dump the old illustrations in favor of Jim's, not everything will be there, but if I use both, there will be a lot of redundancy. I was hoping to just give the text a first pass as I worked with the art, but it looks like I need to do a detailed edit to figure out just how everything fits together.

I also need to find time to make a grocery list. I've got menus picked out, but I need to get an order in. My plan is for tuna noodle tonight and beef vegetable soup tomorrow. But beyond that, I don't have a plan and am likely missing ingredients for whatever recipe I tried.

And I really just want to play games and/or take a nap in the comfy chair. Alas, duty calls.

Have a good day, everyone! I hope the halls of the SHE clubhouse are soon ringing with nothing but happy news!

We got happy news at doc appt. DS14 arm Xray showed no breaks, fractures, or foreign objects. They told DS14 to take Motrin as needed and baby his arm for the next 10 days.

DD11 is in the big city today having a field trip with her classmates. She was super excited about it and her friend group have spent time planning the details. DD11 won't have academic team practice after school today due to the field trip.

My day is now opened up with no must-dos and only normal doings. I am relieved to be able to return to following my normal hourly schedule.

Today I'm cooking chicken tenderloins and mashed potatoes for the family.

Morning…

Slept hard last night and didn’t want to get up this morning. However I made it to my class, came home and finished my routines, watered my plants and did a bit of gardening.

Came in, made my second cup of coffee and ended up watching videos on fb with Sweetie. This is something new we’ve started doing instead of watching tv. We usually watch things about animals, dogs, whales, etc. that make us laugh. Figure it’s good for the soul.

I have some research to do today concerning Sweeties upcoming needs. Was planning on doing that yesterday but my headache got in the way. Sort of woke up with an achy head this morning. Two cups of coffee didn’t help so I took some stronger meds. Tis the season for my migraines so this is nothing new, just annoying.

LadyM… hope ds14 arm is just either badly bruised or sprained.

Lucylee… feeling bad for your dgd and her rashes.

And of course sending healing vibes to all the dh’s in need.

Lost a post just now in outdoor spaces. Sometimes the mouse pad is not cooperative.

I've walked the dog. I'm doing ok on steps this week, have met goal every day.

Dh has a second painter coming at noon for a second estimate on painting our downstairs. And it should be obvious I'm just out of control. Dmassage therapist called because I had a 10 a.m. appointment that I had forgotten, I rescheduled for Friday at 11:30. And then I got an email reminding me of a webinar I had signed up for at 11 a.m. I'm listening to the webinar, and it might be recorded online after it's over, but I think it's pretty basic. Signed up for it because I like the individual presenting it.

Oops, now the painter is here thirty minutes early.

-----------
Talked to the painter, he's waiting for dh, I've been trying to post for awhile.

Dh is napping. I shut his phone off earlier. He woke up and tried to turn on his phone to play a game and realized it had been shut off, so he turned it on and plugged it in to charge. After he fell asleep, i turned off the volume, but the phone is still on. I really want him to rest and get better. He looks awful and he's not "with it".

No supper here tonight that I know of at this point. Dh might be too sick to eat and I am not hungry at all. I am thirsty and I've been drinking lots of water. There is jello in the fridge.

Dishwasher is going, pipes aren't gurgling! I will be doing another load in the dishwasher when this load is done.
Sun is shining and it's above 0 Celcius.

Later...

Second load is going in the dishwasher.
