Thanks, Cathy! I'm a weekend SHE, weekday worker. I do well with a community to cheer me on! I've used my friends and sister a little over the years to stay focused, but I love forums and miss their heyday!

I don't see a "weekend SHE" thread here...If I were to start one, would that be allowed? If I were to do that, what would the best subforum be?

Yes, everything that Cathy said, Kimmy Ann. I do seem to remember you and she's right -there's a daily post started by whoever gets here first! :D

Dh just called me to tell me that he and DD are at the Orlando Solar Bears hockey game. No idea how long it took them to get there. Sometimes it's an hour but W A Z E said almost 2 hours tonight. He usually would work their games as a statistician but of course hasn't at all this season because of being so sick. DD continues to work for them when she doesn't have a game on the "Bay". She and their work chief figured out how to get him in and up with them tonight. He said he's been treated like royalty. I can hear in his voice that he's getting pretty tired, but I'm sure the adrenaline is flowing as he's so enjoying doing something normal. Of course it made me cry. One day at a time here and it is a daily battle. I've discovered that cancer is not the only day by day battle a loved one can wage. (He actually had cancer -Hodgkins disease when it was considered fatal for the most part. He had been given an 8-month death sentence and here we are. But I have to say this battle for so many months has been even more difficult than that one in so many ways.

I've been trying to figure out our A T & T bill and having no success getting in. I've used the correct ID and passwords but seem unable to bring up our account.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Hi, ((Kimmy))! I remember you from previous spaces for sure. Awfully glad you are hanging out with us. You are 100 percent welcome to start a thread anytime. I think Cathy and Dee are wanting to make sure you have a lot of company 'cause they're so happy you're around ( :) ), and you'd have the most company here in our Saturday and Sunday threads upcoming. But a new thread with an emphasis on weekends being important for our schedules might go into Basic Weekly Plan, Organization (both forums that are below this one) or even Across the Cafe Table (above this one). It sounds like you especially like challenges or chore-company. Are their challenges that were most helpful to you, btw, that you wish would pop up here? (Round Robins, Check-ins, Bingo, etc.?) We speak all kinds of challenge-language here, lol. Some of us are in recuperation mode at the moment (me) but others are full steam ahead. If it's decluttering, btw, there's a thread for that below, too.

Hi Kimmy Ann. Most of the people are here and some of us do our own challenges whenever we have the need. But wherever you end up some of us will find you and try to reply. I guess I'm pretty busy...and/or lazy so I don't always get here during the day, though this weekend I have a list in my head of stuff to do (it's about time) so I may be around too.

I was up insanely early (well, anything early for me is insane) and I got my casserole all completed and baked and I was out the door on time to my brunch. The traffic was absolutely awful here, our increased homes in this area and the snowbirds coming, plus all the extra work people trying to do hurricane repairs, and our roads are clogged. I can't get used to the time it gets to go places. It used to be easy. So I was a bit late getting there. It was nice, though, and I always enjoy my Fri mornings there. Everybody brought something yummy to eat, we had so much food! The lady who brought the juice actually got oranges and juiced them herself! Next week I will be with the children as a helper. I signed up again for this as last time several kids were not going to be there so they didn't need me.

So, when I read today's posts I actually teared up. I have questions, but I will do some research and think a bit first.

No rain so far. Maybe on Monday, they say. I will be so happy to see clouds and rain. I got out and watered the bushes and my flowers. The Iris I planted is beginning to open its blooms and they will be a darker red. Very pretty and bright. My 2 pepper plants have little tiny peppers on them, smaller than a dime. I hope they live.

DH set up the sprinkler in the back yard and sprinkled a section of the yard. I said something to him about moving it to a different section and he got upset. He used to wait till it was throwing water the opposite direction and he'd put it over to another section, being able to do it fast enough to not get soaked in the process. He told me he can barely walk and can't move it fast enough to not get soaked and to shut off the water first is a walk all the way to the front of the garage where he has it attached, back to the sprinkler, back to the hose bib to turn it on...too much walking. So we had the conversation about putting a hose in the back like we used to have at that hose bib and using lighter hoses. He's got all his big hoses attached. I don't know what to do about all this but we can't take care of our yard and plants this way.

When I came home a couple guys were here looking at the big truck. Our friend with the used car lot sent them down here. They were more interested in the dump truck. Anyway, they went home to think about it. DH was totally ready to let them both go, though he would have to get another little truck to use...or neither of us would have much freedom. I'm not ready to live like that yet. I know we will get there someday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO LORDM!
Hugs to (Blessed, and Kathryn, and RRose, and cathy, and all the husbands).

Kimmy -- welcome! I think you will always find SHEs here in PWYC on the weekends. I know it is the first place I look every day, and I think it is probably our most active thread.

I just found out what's on MY agenda tomorrow. These little girls have batting practice starting at 8:30 in the morning!
Y'all KNOW how excited I am about getting up early, especially on a Saturday. Shaking my head...
But I'm going to take her, because ds has a long drive ahead of him and of course, ddil will just be getting home about that time. It's "come and go" so we are planning on getting there a little after 9:00 a.m.
They did not have the expected practice game. We just watched them practice for awhile, then watched dgs for a while. They are both having a great time.
Tomorrow is another day.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! Special thanks to you, Harriet, for the guidance on starting threads.

Whatever happend to sheforums.org? Seems like it was closed down. The Joys and Concerns group there saw me through a very difficult time in my life!

Harriet and DeeClutter, did you have other names on the other threads, or were these your handles?

Thanks all!
