Monday, on Your Mark ...
Are you on your mark for the week?
What's different this coming week?
What are the hurdles?
How do you need to "get set"?

Re: Monday, on Your Mark ...
Congratulations to Harriet for No Recurring Appointments this week!
You made it through with incredible grace!
I'm dragging still. That time change was a killer.
It is snowing and grey again today so I did two rounds of light therapy but still just want to climb into bed.
Now that dh is out of the ICU, (I should check to see if I posted in J&C last night) I have to get things whipped into shape here. They are pretty bad. I missed weekly house blessing last week, except for our bedroom. That was the easy room, since dgs basically wasn't allowed there. The rest of this place is crunchy and messy. And paper piles are out of control. I haven't opened mail for 2 weeks, either and my email in-box is a mess because I've been sending out mass emails and not dealing with the responses.

Re: Monday, on Your Mark ...
Good morning!
We are in spring break mode here.
I forgot to turn the school alarms off, so I was woken up earlier than I wanted this morning. I stayed in bed for an hour trying to go back to sleep, but it didn't happen.
We are a house of sloths today. DD11 and I plan to do as little as possible. We discussed our preference for staying in bed vs having feet up in a recliner. DS14 plans to sleep until noon.
The next time I get out of the recliner, I'll look to see how much food is available to eat in the refrigerator. Once I know that information then I'll decide if I'm cooking today. I took a lb of hamburger meat out of freezer to start thawing just in case it is needed.

Re: Monday, on Your Mark ...
I'm in sloth mode here. I really need to set up a dr appointment to get a physical but OTOH I think my lethargy is from the waiting to hear about my portfolio. It's been three and a half months, could be six months which would be potentially end of May. And the time change and busy-ness and socialization yesterday hit me hard too. And I had trouble getting to sleep last night - no reason that I know of but I tossed and turned a long time.
Today I need to whip myself into shape (fat chance!) and do the reading/study for the 3:30 Zoom study group. I'm debating whether to cook tonight or whether we can eat leftovers, i.e. soup tonight. I have frozen fish that I could thaw quickly if I decide to cook, I guess.
I need to get moving. Of course, I can always choose not to participate in the study group today by just listening, but I'd rather get something out of it.

No surprise. DS14 plans of sleeping until noon were a bust. He decided he didn't want to do it. He was up and going to work at 9am.
DH got out of bed at 9:30. He is matching my sloth mode perfectly.

Re: Monday, on Your Mark ...
What's different this coming week?
Yes, this week is different from recent ones. We just have the events we might have had at any other time. We go to pick up taxes in early afternoon today, then will head to grocery and, since it is ds' birthday I'll come home and make a pie for him. I will be late giving it to him, but at least I can tell him it's setting until firm in the fridge, for pickup tomorrow. (so I guess I didn't have the "get set" part done, did I, lol)
I believe HRH has an eye checkup this week as well, and the fact that I'm not sure when just shows that I haven't been on my game. I need to get his calendar and transpose info to my planner, too. He's been keeping up with everything reasonably well, but he's not used to having so little of my usual helpful 2nd guessing.
with grace ... .. you can seem so grace-full when napping a lot, lol. Isn't it nice to take a nap when you mean to do it? However, realizing you just napped an afternoon away is a little too reclusive. In theory, I'll be somewhat more alert in coming weeks, lol.
Twins', just assume your work is so impressive it takes a bunch of time to really give it the attention it deserves. If you knew you weren't going to hear until May, what projects would you start? Why not go ahead. The worst that could happen is that you would have to interrupt yourself enough to do a happy puppy dance too, and you can do two things at one time.
Some outdoor sunshine can happen most days this week.

Re: Monday, on Your Mark ...
ugh. Apparently, the rest of the world isn't participating in my sloth mode day.
** The fence contractors are here working. They are right outside my window talking, with generator and welding machines running.
** DS14 called and asked me to bring his heavy coat to the worksite. His boss is up high in bucket truck so DS14 couldn't leave him to get the coat himself. It is 36F with a brisk wind and DS14 hoodie wasn't warm enough. I delivered the heavy Carhart coat and received many grateful comments.
** SAm the perfect dog keeps wanted to go outside. It is too cold to leave Sam outside so each trip requires me to get out of recliner twice.
** I called for the next infusion therapy appt. That resulted in having two medical appts on the calendar next Monday.
** I cleaned out the 3 bags I took this weekend and got everything put away. One bag was technology based and the other two bags were used because I packed all my drinks and food each day.
** I have watered the 21 tomato/pepper plants and have them ready to be repotted. I am excited that i was able to find Pro-Mix brand of potting mix this weekend and am looking forward to using it. It is extremely difficult to find this brand! My recommendation to anyone doing plants ....do not ever use Pro-Mix brand soil. It will ruin future soil usage if you are unable to find Pro-Mix. Once you used Pro-Mix then every other brand feels wrong and looks unacceptable.
I am still hanging on to my sloth mode. It might be mental sloth mode instead of physically.

Re: Monday, on Your Mark ...
Well... I hit the floor with my feet running. however if I had my choice I would have remained in bed!
I stayed up late watching the award show. Haven't seen half the movies, but Sweetie and I love to watch them after we know which ones have won.
Went to my class this morning, came home and took care of my sunnies, made a cup of coffee and headed out to a meeting to discuss the continuation of our exercise class and what it might look like in the future. Came home and had to cover and tape my sunnies with garbage bags as we are due to get rain storms this afternoon. My plants are only 6 days old and in a very tender stage. Hard rain will beat them down and recover them with dirt. Been through this before so know I need to protect them.
Tomorrow is Sweeties birthday and I am taking him to the Ringling Brothers and Car and Music Box Museum. Plan on packing a small bag in case we stay longer than I am willing to drive after a full day of activities. Its in Sarasota and Sweeties mother is also interned there at her church's memorial wall so i feel it might become a long day. Its about a two hour drive from here depending on I-75 which as harmony and Dee can tell you is sometimes a nightmare to drive.
In the meantime I am waiting for a phone call from my finance man. I have a tax question I need an answer to before I can file my taxes. I also have three other phone calls to set up appointments for Sweetie. I think its gonna be a busy month.
Right now the west Gulf Coast is dealing with this nasty stuff called the Red Tide, which kills fish and makes spending time at the beach a very unpleasant experience. I made a quick decision to book a four day vacation in Hollywood, Fl for the second week in May. I think by then we should be able to get past many of Sweeties appointments. When we were there after the hurricane, Sweetie fell in love with the area and it will be a nice break for us both.

Re: Monday, on Your Mark ...
I was up in the night thinking of how to get the camera at the right number of inches off the ground with what I Have here...
woke up and saw a photo stand that will work and the cupboard in the basement has a cutting board and lights over head x3!
Yea I found another small piece of carpet I'd kept for who knows why 12" tall and 5' wide - ish is now tossed so glad it fit.
Moved my spinning wheel I forgot it was on wheels moving trolly!
I ended up just holding the camera at least I learned how to flip it around!
Laundry is going. Next load is in also! yea! More washer twins are going last load is in now,
Clean sheets are on the bed I used the other set this week.
Some qt is done.
Waving to everyone.
Bs is up in ack land.
41* 57* F drizzle on the way
I made out a list of rainy day activities and I have a song picked out.
I have island music on in the background that helps.
I slept in till just before 8:00.
Soup is thawing.
Journaling*
Walked
I have to learn keyboard short cuts.
Marking things off as I got em done...
Backyard hose out*
Work on shed*
Mix up bread*
Do a batch of shorts vids. learning that. Did one with or after each task then thought
of some other just for fun.
Did get a plant watered outside I'd been meaning to empty the waterer that was under the eve in the plant cage to empty it out. Yea for that.
Bread is done looks great it is cooling.

Re: Monday, on Your Mark ...
I did all the banking this morning. I also mailed a package to our lawyer, who happens to be in Sarasota, FL right now, so it's being mailed to him there, instead of his Ontario office. I also went to knitting today. Dh wants a cheeseburger for supper, so we are going out for the cheeseburgers.
