Happy Pi Day 3.14 !!

Back when my dad used to be a snowbird they would start their drive south on December 1 and get to the pan handle area on the 3rd. They would leave Florida to come north on the last day of February and arrive home on the second of March. My dad always called me on the day before they were leaving to let me know they were on the road. Right now I have friends down there visiting another friend. They just took a picture in front of friend's house and she has on jeans and a long sleeve top. I think they are in the north part of the state somewhere.

It's a 'jeans & sweatshirt' kind of day here today, Cathy, no doubt! At least through the middle of the state. DD/dsonil are taking a little vacation on the ocean in GA.....brrrrr.

Dee, the people I've talked to who go back up north (3 or 4 of them) all go up I75. I don't know the situation on I95. Probably the same. One guy goes up to Wisconsin and he refuses to go up I75 because of that traffic. He goes over to Alabama and up from there. He says it's insane trying to go through Atlanta those busy days and this avoids that. I don't know how you go but it sounds bad 75 to 301 to go across to 95 that way. I think I have the interstate and state road numbers correct. Since you are halfway between interstates, I guess it's 6 or half a dozen(!) but however you go I wish you luck with your trip at that time of year. You don't think your DH would attempt to do some of the driving? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

I wish I had some Pi! DH is stopping at store on the way home but not for that. He had an unsuccessful trip (so far) back to the engineer. We paid for these plans at the drafting guy's office, and the engineer drew plans that were totally different. DH has several parts of this build done, waiting for the inspector to tell him yes, all good, go ahead. He can't go any further and can't seem to get plans that reflect all his work. He went down there and the guy wasn't there. It's a serious situation and we've been through 3 engineers and haven't gotten decent plans yet. Once this work is done, he can move on to see about his knee and we can begin cleaning out the truck in order to sell.

I am very stressed with all this. He was on the phone about it most of the morning. I had to go in another room and shut the door. My kitchen counter is covered in papers. I think I will gather them into folders and try to pile them up somewhere else. That might help my anxiety.

I have so much cleaning to do and gardening too. Hate being at a standstill with all this.

I don't know the situation on I95. Probably the same.

Oh, yes it is! Parking lot I-95! It scares me to think about him driving at all right now, Harmony. Know he's said he'll leave the car here for me and he'll fly up as he'll "borrow one of DS-A's trucks". Same problem -should he be driving?

Good morning, new friends! I'm taking a sick day from work today, I think it might be my first real sick day in 13 years! I probably could have worked, but it would have been uncomfortable, as I'm having lower GI symptoms.

I joined up here because I'm living in CHAOS, as they say, and I need help to bring some sense of discipline and order to my home routines.

The Flylady cleaning missions are so short, I think I can do them even when sick, so that's my plan today.

If I'm up to it, I will also make a pie!

I'm surprised that getting tires at the Honda dealership is cheaper than the Goodyear store, although, the difference is the tires themselves. Honda dealership says they're quoting the same tires that are on the car - dh says he thinks that I had to replace one tire and it was a more expensive tire, and that's what Goodyear was quoting. Anyway, they were too backlogged to put on the car and I didn't have time anyway since I needed to give ddog meds two hours before the vet trip. I hope this one goes better than some have, (She took meds easily in peanut butter, thankfully. In the beginning she was so suspicious that I had to leave it on the floor with peanut butter on a paper plate and walk away so she could inspect it privately.)

So the tire installation is scheduled for Thursday at 9:15. I'll ask dh to help be sure I'm up and moving.

Talked to dd while in transit home - she was heading to work and seeing big snowflakes, but it wasn't laying. We talked a little about a strategy for her to see dfriend? P who is so overbearing w dd and tells everything she hears. I made a couple of suggestions, she mainly wants to see her own friends here. She'll have the use of my car.
