Dusting still isn't finished and I missed a nap cuz ds called.
Mail has been opened and processed. And I took all the recycle downstairs and picked up the mail from today and yesterday. That has been opened and I have two bills to pay but a week to pay them.
Dh is being discharged. I'm to pick him up at 5:30. And his prescription was faxed to the pharmacy, so I'll try and pick it up on the way there. I have time for a 30 minute nap and will take it.

Re: What Will your Wednesday be?
Happy to hear that Ken is on his way home later today!!
Dh stretched out on the bed and I joined him. He played on his phone and I was reading a book.
Now it's time to start supper. I will be in the kitchen, so I have started doing some of last night's pots and pans.

Re: What Will your Wednesday be?
My day changed on a dime...
Sweetie's really been upset because he is having trouble remembering how to upload information for his taxes. So I ended up just going to the grocery store. When I came home I could tell he was still stuck so I offered to try and help him. When it comes to computers, I am not good at it so it was like the blind leading the blind. I was able to help him think through the steps to do what he needed, but it was difficult watching him struggle.
We were finally able to figure out what needed to be done as I kept pointing out alternative ways to complete the process if we couldn't figure out what was needed. That helped to keep him calm. And now that its done, I am waiting for our CPA to let her know what is going on in case I missed something.
I'm gonna tell you this is very difficult to deal with in case some of you are following in my footsteps. I don't mind having to step in and do more and more around the house. Whats difficult is trying to encourage Sweetie not to let this disease define him or our relationship, knowing it will not get better. Alzhiemers is definitely a dream killer. I am in full blown teacher mode most of the time.

Kathryn - That is a great milestone to have Ken home from the hospital. I hope the transition is smooth with minimum problems.
(((RR & Sweetie)))
I saw a newly released study out of Canada that is showing Vitamin D supplementation gives 40% protection from dementia and 15% protection from diabetes. Ireland has found Vit D helps with mood/depression.
It isn't a good day to be outside, but I keep finding myself in the garden for short periods of time.
I cooked some fresh caught fish (gift from a fisherman friend) for lunch. I made chicken ramen for the kids.
DH has left to drive the church van to pick up kids. The church meal will start in about an hour. Tonight's meal is Taco Boats (aka loaded anchoes). I'm not going to eat at church but will go for the worship service.

Dh is home and eating a light supper. First non jello, non cereal food he's had yet and his tummy seems fine.
Blood test in the morning.
Meds weren't ready, they said tomorrow, but my neighbor knows the pharmacist and called and bullied them into getting them done tonight and will pick them up for me.

Re: What Will your Wednesday be?
I saw that canadian study also a couple days ago. I tested low on Vit D and I began supplementing. My levels are better now. I also take the K also and calcium... It is K2 and D3. About that study saying it prevents dementia...well the one I heard about says it helps those who don't already have it. I intend to show it to DH and ask his doctors if it would be ok to take it. And I'm glad I already do. Oh that same study said it helps people not get diabetes.
There is also another study recently came out about masks and Covid. Ummm, doesn't show to help much if any. They had whole charts of numbers and lots of people followed. This is the cloth masks and those N__whatever 95? Like 1 in 10,000 or something ridiculous. The same study showed hand washing and sanitizers did help a very little bit. Worth doing. So. Something to think about. These studies were about Covid, not about any of the other germs, viruses that can hit us.
(RRose) I understand the frustration very well. I gave up a long while ago trying to teach DH the little bit I know about this computer. If he gets into problems, I just take over. When we both get stuck, that's when it gets gnarly. Just one more bump in this long road.
So today, I finished my study, but did it in snatches of time between chores. Went down to pick up DH's Rx's. One pharmacy had the first 3. 2nd one said it hadn't been ordered. Grrrr. When I came home I called and reordered it at the drs. This office is usually very very good about getting the orders in properly. I went outside and put the red mulch all around in the round flower garden. I have other places to use it but will do that later.
It was cold today, well chilly. Sweater weather.
Guess that's it today. I just got out of shower and I'm sitting here in bathrobe. House is a bit cool so I'm off to roll up this damp hair and get something warm on. 10 degrees makes a difference! I'm glad to read Ken is coming home. Hope it all goes smoothly.
