Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Have a satisfying day, whatever it is that you do! I'm particularly thinking of our caretakers, hoping that they can do something for themselves that yields inner satisfaction and joy. Caretaking is a hard job, and it's seven days a week.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Hi!
It was snowing here when we left to go get some groceries. Got to Niagara Falls and it was really snowing hard. After we started driving home, the snow storm stayed behind in the Falls and we had clear skies all the way home.
We are having steak fajitas tonight and a roasted chicken tomorrow night. Raspberries were on sale, so I will make raspberry ice cream at some point today for tomorrow.

It is satisfying to say I've found the surface of my dining room table. My desk top has disappeared but that's OK, I can just lower the roll top.
I'm now ready for dgs. He should have been here almost an hour ago.
Will have my breakfast now, and not wait any longer for him.
Dh is feeling wonderful today. He had a second shower and slept pretty well (awake a couple of times but right back to sleep.) This is a problem, in that he's hard to hold down today. He hammered some nails into the wall without me being able to stop him.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
I allowed myself to sleep in this morning. I was awake at eight but went back to sleep for an hour and a half. I'll be up early tomorrow for get-away to the beach day. It will be nice to get away and have a different point of view for a few days, whatever the weather is. And salty air and sand and the water!
So today need to get ready although I keep saying to myself that it's only for four days - actually only three full days there and two travel days.
I have the laundry going but just got distracted by a military pension application that I just received in email this a.m.
Kathryn, have Ken to do his first walk now while he's fresh!

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Morning…
Got up and enjoyed my coffee without being rushed, and then did my morning routines.
Worked with my sunnies for a while. Came in, climbed on my gazelle and watched the last two episodes of a show I’ve been following. Did that so I would get my steps in… I’m already at 11k+ and it’s not even noon.
Have a few mod things to do outside and then it off to HD because I need a few things. May come home and read outside before the rains are suppose to show up.
Enjoying my day

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
My day is slipping by.
Both kids were up before 7am this morning to go cook & serve at the youth breakfast fundraiser. They cooked for 100 people but didn't have that many people show up, but they were pleased with the donations they received. The funds raised will be used to help pay for the summer camp.
DS14 has picked up another side job. He is going to people's homes and caring for their dogs while owners are out of town. He never stops thinking of ways to keep himself busy and earn money.
The fence project is almost finished. The contractor's wife's birthday was yesterday so he quit working early to take her to a show. We paid him yesterday for the entire project. I trust that he will return to finish the last couple hours of work.
I baked 2 small loaves of bread and 3 frozen pizzas. DD46 dropped by a 13x9" pan of freshly baked apple cake with frosting. I didn't plan it to happen but today is a carb lover delight.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Satisfied today with my walk; At the corner a guy up the road was walking his dog, so we walked back to his place on the way
I was going today. Glad the dogs got along. It was a good chat. I was listening to a devo. pushed pause and finished it on the way back.
It was on Practicing the Presence of God. The book I got yesterday has pretty small print, I remembered my dsis said she down loaded Our Daily Bread and listens to that one.
So glad for he saying that I thought I'd look up this one on yt.
I have been looking at the ways to enhance photos lots of fun filters to try out guess what I'll be doing next! LOL!
Went through my jeans.
Cleaned 15 or less in the plant cage.
Did a round in the she shed.
Got the 1/2 sheet of plywood painted white for reflecting lite when I film.
It works as a desk and work apace.
Got my steps in for today. 3 more days and I will have a 100 day streak on steps!

lucylee, it would be "all in how you say it". Watch the accusatory tone and just be factual...?
Nancy, how was your reading today? Feeling better and not on the coaster? Oh, I see your post so it sounds like a good day.
Dove, it's good to see you!
Big recycling and trash push here today. And everything happening at once because dd24 and fiancée are having both lunch and supper with us today - lunch a pickup and supper a cooking adventure with probably too many cooks. So much recycling - dd24 and fiancee took that much for us leaving trash behind until later.
HRH ordered groceries to be delivered. It was fine but the lady also left the next person's very small order with us. I absolutely hate to be any part of someone not getting their orders. It just seems awful to me.
And of course, try as I might, I can't get the delivering lady on the same text series anymore and have no idea how to contact. So, I guess we have this other food - not much but very specific and deli.
Right after last posting here, I had a contentious phone call with various folks that sent me into a stress whirl. Strangely, I could see it, later, on this smart contraption on my wrist (not fitbit but competitor). From the time of the (very long) surprise call and for the next several hours, stress level was in the orange color of bars. Ds was super irritated over this. He had called me next and got an ear full, I am sorry to say.
I stayed up late to email responses that were needed and sent a letter today. At least I hope I made the mail.
From the household calm dept:
I am fine with HRH streaming tv. Really I am. But the original Lost In Space? He says it is soothing to him as he does other things. He says it is a childhood happy memory. To me, it is like fingernails on a chalkboard. It is better than streaming some of the cruel or horrific programs out there, of course. But there's a level of my common sense that it finally turns just sideways enough to disconcert. They say that for the first season the intention was to be a more serious show, but certainly after that it went silly.

Re: Satisfying Saturday PWYC
Dh and and I went to Costco for some things we need, got in and out without me melting down - we did well for a Saturday when it's packed with people. We ran into our river friend - never did see her dh there, they had separated and he was calling her about how they "only went to Costco for one thing."
I cleaned the inside of windows on my car - at least windshield, back window and passenger and drivers side windows. No back seat windows done. The microfiber window cleaners work well - one swipe with damp microfiber, then dry/polish with the finer weave cloth. Then gassed up my car so that's done.
I still have laundry going and laundry to fold. Not cooking tonight - we'll go to nearby deli and eat I think. We meant to get the wraps that Costco has and then forgot them.
