One of my favorite events of the year just happened. I found the first asparagus spear of the year. Let the 2023 asparagus harvest begin!

I rarely can nap because I am not sleepy. I just discovered something that I immediately knew would work for me. It is a 10-minute-deep relaxation that slows the heart rate. My heart rate slowed down 12 beats per minute, and I was so relaxed by the time I finished. NSDR Non-Sleep Deep Rest has been added to my hourly schedule for the 9th hour of the day.

Eeeek! Emergency question— what can a non-cook take to potluck meal at church tomorrow??? Something that can sit for an hour during church???

LOL — I accidentally posted this ^^^ in J&C!

I’m thinking maybe a fruit tray and some chicken fingers from Walmart? I can pick that up in the morning before church.
I wasn’t planning on going to this thing but now it turns out I am. Sigh.
Tomorrow is another day.

LucyLee - I like your fruit tray and chicken finger idea. Other easy dishes to take are bagged salad/bottle of dressing, Hawaiian type rolls, potato salad from deli, ham/cheese roll-ups, purchased pies/cakes/cookies.

I enjoyed my day. Other than the 14 phone calls and 2 drop-in visitors it has been extremely relaxing. It is my last day of spring break. Tomorrow I will return to normal schedule and activities.

Fourteen phone calls, LadyM? I'd be going crazy, can some of them text you or leave messages?

I don't know that I'm ready to go to away but we're going in the morning!
