Hospital ER it is.
He's faint now as well. Heart rate is 160 for 8 - 10 sec then drops to 60, for a few beats and back up again.
I'm eating something before we go. No idea if I'll be allowed to stay.

Oh my goodness, Kathryn. Sounds like when dh was in Afib -which was also present for some time after he had his valve replaced. Then of course he went into Afib again last year until just a while ago. Hoping they can figure out what's happening with Ken and can correct it ASAP!

Oh my Kathryn. Off you go! Saying a prayer for him for healing.

Re: Monday PWYC
Oh my prayers for both of the k's in Canada.
I have the last of the branches in the fire pit now and it is doing well!
I walked up and down the street checked on it before and after and will check again.
I set up another board and block shelf in the bigger shed this morning and found a
few more usable items to let go of.
Got a walk in with ddog weather is 53* & sunny cannot beat that.

((((Kathryn & Ken)))) I'm taking a seat in the virtual ER waiting room
Dee - Glad you were able to get up. I have BTDT a time or two when I couldn't figure out how to maneuver myself to get up in a tight space.
DD11 time with counselor was well worth the effort, time and cost. I appreciate her wisdom and knowledge as she teaches DD11 how to deal with situations. The counselor and I shared looks a couple times. DD11 has no memories of her life before she came to live with us. She only has one fragment of a memory that is an empty room with brown walls, floors, and ceilings. DD11 doesn't remember why she was in that room or where it was located.

Re: Monday PWYC
Well, if I'd truly been alone I guess I would have had to call "Lift Assist". A friend just gave me that dedicated number yesterday but I sure didn't want to have to use and already at that! I managed to sit and scooch myself over to where my phone was charging.
Keep checking to see if we've heard anything more from Kathryn. Sure hope they can address and cure Ken's problem pretty quickly. Definitely hoping his recovery is soon back on track. Feels so much like dejavu between Ken and my Dh. We went the same route a couple of times after his valve replacement -ER, Afib, visiting nurse for over 4 months. Every time she'd be ready to 'sign off' with him, he'd come up with a new symptom or complication. Hoping this is the end of it for Ken and soon resolved.

Re: Monday PWYC
(Kathryn and Ken). Praying.
Dee, I don't get up easily any more either. I can still do it, but I need to put my hands on my knees or thighs and push off. Or if there's a surface to lean on and help boost myself up from I'll kneel and go over to the surface on hands and knees, put my hands on the bed or chair or table and use that to get up. Still, requires a bit of leg strength to do all that. There are u tube videos to show how to get up, google to see if you can find those. DH can still get up by rolling onto side and getting up on his knees and up from there. Anyway, all of that takes some strength. I'm glad you had some help.

Re: Monday PWYC
I'm sorry folks, apparently, I didn't post properly before. I was posting from my phone.
We ended up staying at home since the dizziness passed and dh's blood pressure was low according to the nursing coordinator. She said he'd just have to wait at the ER and he may as well wait at home as she thinks things will be better in the morning once the Lasix wears off. She did think I'd be able to stay with dh despite the covid since it has been over 5 days.
She convinced dh to eat something, and he felt a lot better after doing so. He had a chicken pot pie and then 8 oz of tinned pineapple.
We are to call again in the morning. Both the nursing coordinators and our family doctor (who dh coincidentally was on a call with when the dizzy spell hit) thought the Lasix was causing the problem. But his drop in blood pressure happened last Tuesday and there was no meds change (except maybe the Warfarin being upped.) When I spoke up about that tonight (I had all the charted numbers in front of me) the nurse said to call in tomorrow about lowering the beta blockers.
He's in bed now but he couldn't get a pulse reading on the blood pressure machine, and I suspect he's in afib. I've given him a bell to ring if he needs help in the night (our phones are on DnD so if he texted, I wouldn't hear.)
