Re: Tuesday Turnaround
I'm glad Ken is better and happy that Lord Maverick has a day to rest himself up.
Nancy I always remember we have the same trash day - dh took ours this a.m. probably in exchange for me taking dry cleaning to cleaners, which I forgot to do.
LadyM, the Honda dealership here has a big enough waiting area that I can get away from people if I need to. They even have several little cubicles with desks and plugs with glass on the sides.
Waving to Cathy too!
A rare event - I was out of the house at nine. I had to schedule my workout for this a.m. because of dog fence people coming between 2 and 4. I went on to the grocery store and went right by the cleaners. The perishables are put away and I need to head out again in 15 min for the CPAP mask. I'll go by the dry cleaners after that - a little out of the way but not too bad. I realized on the way home I meant to get more fruit so I could take a fruit salad for dessert tomorrow night, and we need greens for salad then too. I suspect I'll just go back in the a.m. I bet there will be something else I need by then.

LadyM that sounds like my sister. People can't get a word into a conversation with her, which is always all about her and how marvelous she is. That is why I no longer talk to her. My dd stopped talking to her a long time ago.

Re: Tuesday Turnaround
Well, my sleep was nil last night -almost 5am again before I finally dozed off a little. Was up shortly after 8. I took about an hour's rest/reading at 11 and now I'm about ready to get at it again.
Dh called me after he and DGS23 made their rounds: !: Cardiologist; 2: lab work across the road; 3: appointment at the hearing aid center (took the guy all of four minutes to fix dh's problem of having lost the right hearing aid sound altogether). His appointment with the cardiologist was at 8:30 and they were done with all 3 by 10:30! All within the same couple of blocks of each other. Dh said they are scheduling the Watchman procedure for him and he should hear from someone within a week or so. He was extremely happy about that. Dr also put him back on the 81mg baby aspirin -here's hoping he has no problems with that. The cardiologist here was reluctant to put him on any blood thinner at all what with the problem he's had with bleeding. So we will see! Dr also told him that yes he could stay alone at our RV. Not going to sit well with DS-A or probably DS-R. DS-A is probably the reason I didn't sleep last night. He had called and was coming up with all sorts of plans for dh. Think I finally convinced him to wait and see what both his doctors say this week.
Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do about getting up north. There's no one to go with me right now and I'm a little reluctant to drive by myself. Not that I don't think I can drive it -it's the stops that bother me being alone. But, I definitely feel I need to get up there so dh can go to the RV with me there. Think that's the only way our boys are going to agree to him being there. And, yes, I'll feel better if someone is there with him.

Re: Tuesday Turnaround
Getting the CPAP mask was quick enough that I stopped at Lowes for two ferns, rosemary and mint. The mint goes into a pot on the porch, the rosemary in the back in a large planter. Ferns for front and back.
The dog is letting me know she wants out, I'm going to take her for a walk around the block.

Dishes from last night are done.
Curling starts at 2, and dh is currently napping.

Re: Tuesday Turnaround
I am going to try for a 30 min nap myself. I am tired. My workout was excellent this morning and I have 6600 steps. The invisible fence people will text when they're on the way, and give me a heads up. Even if I miss that I get a call when they ring the doorbell.
I need to get plants out of car, almost forgot.

Re: Tuesday Turnaround
Back from Bible Study and I fetched the garbage can back in from the road
I fetched the mail also fixed & ate my lunch let the dog out and in a couple of times.
Looked over my painting project and did a bit with that.
My counters could use some attn.
I need a plan for my dinner
----
Walked ddog but not enough steps so will need to increase that later on somehow.
Paint is nearly dry on the top of the table with today's mid layer color grey.
I still need to do another color on the legs again.
Next color is on except the edges of fold down leaves that will be after legs are dry skimping to have enough paint for that.

Re: Tuesday Turnaround
I've taken our trash from the bathroom, bedroom & office out to the trash can. I could have taken the trash from the kitchen and the roller to the road. BUT I'm waiting to see if dsonil does that later. Chances are dd will end up doing it. At least hg e's gone out to the shed to work on a project -that's so much better than sitting in the chair on his phone all day.
Wish I could stop thinking about how/when to go up home. Keep hoping something will drop in our laps to answer that prayer.

Re: Tuesday Turnaround
After my break I got the vacuuming finished up and then we took our naps. I had a good deep rest, not sure I completely slept but it is possible. Then we went for a walk outside because the sun was out. Today was 24 minutes and we walked just over a mile. Once we get to the 30 minutes walks, then we start building speed but today's speed was a bit faster than before. I'm hoping that once he gets to the 30 minutes he'll do 1 of his 'walks' on the recumbent exercise bike to start rebuilding leg muscles.
I was really hot when I got home so did the calf stretching on the shady balcony and was no longer feeling sweaty when I came in. While walking we also planned dinner so that's defrosting now. It is dh's pork rib leftovers from dinner out the other night plus the sweet and sour pork I made up last week. I'll have lots of salad and garlic bread with mine to fill in any 'gaps'.

Re: Tuesday Turnaround
Oh, Dee! I hope you don't end up making that drive alone! (Although I admire your confidence!) I don't know if I could do that or not. I get so sleepy when I am driving. OTOH, I might do better alone than I do with dh, because his choice of radio stations may be what puts me to sleep.
Also, I have noticed I do well with dmom, because she talks constantly, and that keeps me awake.
DH and I talk when we are traveling, but not as much as dmom and I!
Speaking of which, I did get her appointments straightened out, I think. Apparently they had double-booked her for tomorrow and the 8th of May. We are going tomorrow for a consultation and to set up appointment for endoscopy. Then we will go back later for the actual procedure. I am a little disturbed at the confusion from this office, but dmom is looking forward to seeing her old GI doctor again. She said he is just one of those doctors that makes you feel better just by talking to you. It has been several years since she has needed to see him, and she thought she would just have to change since he moved to the bigger city. I think she was very relieved when I told her I would take her there to see him, plus the surgeon at ddil's hospital told her this GI doctor still sees patients there. * I'm still not quite sure I believe his information is correct on that point, but at least they are in the same hospital system/network, and all her records from GI will be available to surgeon.
She said the surgeon "is just not going to rest" until she has this endoscopy done, and I can now understand why. He is afraid if it is not COMPLETELY healed, it may cause problems later -- even rupture? -- if she had another episode of throwing up, etc. And medication could be all she needs to aid healing, if that is the case. So -- better to know than to not know.
Definitely can relate to LadyM's comment about the pros and cons of having family nearby.
And I am beyond grateful and wouldn't change a thing... but whew... it does keep us busy when we are the "go to" people for sooo many people.
Just about time for me to go pick up dgs at school... dh will take him to ball practice, and I will go to dgd's game.
(DGD is in Big City right now at eye doctor; that is why her parents are not doing school pick up.)
I did start my day better today, and slept fairly well (thanks to Nyquil) but I haven't had any additional meds and coughing does seem to be improved. I will do Nyquil again tonight and probably Dayquil tomorrow, in hopes that I won't be coughing in the car with dmom. She said we could wear our masks, but I'm afraid that will make me cough worse. Just noticed my watch says my average walking heart rate has been higher the past 6 days. I guess that shows I've been having some difficulty. Steps are down along with average calories burned. I hope to get back to "normal" SOON.
LadyM, just consider the drama queen a free soap opera, LOL. Sometimes I admit, I enjoy eavesdropping on those conversations. Some people have the most unusual things going on -- makes me appreciate my slightly dysfunctional family.
So glad Ken is doing better and things are headed more toward "normal" for you all, Kathryn!
I am so sorry I can't respond to everyone. I have finally got tickets and parking passes straightened out for June & July ballgames in Atlanta. Oh how I miss the days when we just called the ticket office and got paper tickets in the mail!!!! Now it's all electronic and some are on this app and some on that app and some will transfer to apple wallet and some will not... shaking my head...
Must go get dgs. Hope you all have a good day!
