Thanks Twins for opening up! I was about to do the same, with likely the same inspirational opening!

(I'm a bit sluggish today.)

Looking at yesterday's PWYC, I realized I never posted yesterday.

Church went well, I was firing on all cylinders (probably why I'm so sluggish today.) I think I had said I was doing the "children's story" but at our church it is called "All Generations Time". I had to scrap what I had because 1. the second part of my focus would have duplicated the guest speaker (my fault for not reading the materials provided me properly!) and 2. no children showed up for church. Since I knew that only as the service began, I had to pivot completely with just a few minutes to rethink what I had. And I succeeded. My only regret was forgetting my pedometer because I got in a lot of steps, moving around the congregation.

The service was led by our charitable foundation crew (money donated to it goes to far flung tiny charities doing local work, rather than our own local work where we donate time as well as money.) The theme was sharing and I had brought with me a 'sharing bag' with mini chocolate bars, wooden skewers, and dollar coins, and, for the adults I pointed out that those who I shared the money with were probably more happy than those who ended up with a wooden skewer since the money was more useful. Then I mentioned my (very striking) dress was from Longido, where Project TEMBO does its work, and talked about the benefits to our family of sharing with TEMBO, including the people in Longido sharing their culture with us. I was also wearing my Masai cross which is striking in its gaudiness but reflective of their expression of Christianity. All that segued beautifully into our guest speaker who was our friend from TEMBO. I'm just sorry dh wasn't there to see her.

I stayed until after coffee hour because people wanted to speak with me too about TEMBO and then headed home. After my breakfast, I took a walk since the day was gorgeous and then we headed over to dd's to visit with her in-laws who are staying there for a few days.

We had a lovely visit with them. The grands were as annoying as usual. I took them to the park for an hour and we blew bubbles and flew a kite as well as playing at the play structure. I had forgotten the book I'm reading to dgs (to many tears) and so we each wrote out our predictions for what will happen in the story. When I got home, I read him 2 chapters.

I was very tired so got to bed a bit earlier than I usually do (but still not 'on time.')

I've been struggling with abdomen discomfort that moves around a lot and yesterday it stayed in one place and almost felt like muscle soreness. By the end of the day my hip was sore enough that I was limping badly so I don't know what is up.

I slept pretty well but it is a dark, rainy, miserable day here so I'm on my second dose of light therapy while I type this. The bed is already stripped and remade and the sheets in the washer. Once my light shuts off, I'll get up and start in, slowly, on the housework. I took an Advil for my soreness and hope to whip through the normal weekly house blessing quickly before it wears off.

Good Morning!

I am feeling the need for accountability (mostly to myself). Many parts of my life need either a boost or a complete reset.

I'm going to attempt 45 minutes of focus followed by 15 minutes break today.

We discovered yesterday that our aerobic septic system isn't working. There was liquid coming out of the top of the system. We called THE MAN and he is on his way to our home this morning (about a 40 mile drive). Meanwhile, DH remembered that a couple days ago he turned the electric off to the gazebo. He woke up during the night wondering if those electricity breakers also supplied power to the septic system. He just went and turned those breakers back on and the septic system started working again. ARGH! This is going to be an expensive error. I'm just thankful it is easily solved.

Meanwhile our laundry room floor is covered in dirty clothes and the kitchen sink and counter is full of dirty dishes. It is an eye-opener how quickly things get out of shape with 24 hours of not being able to take care of basics.

Time for me to give 45 minute of focus. My first priority is to get 32 homeschool assignments planned and on DS14 calendar.

Hi!

I had a tough time getting to sleep last night. Dh, on the other hand, had a great night's sleep.

I have "knitting" this morning, where I will be cross stitching now that I've finished my scarf. I ended up using all the yarn and I have a tiny ball about half the size of a golf ball.

No idea what we will have for supper tonight. It's gotten back to seasonal temperatures, so quite cool as compared to last week. It is also raining.

Kitchen can wait until I get home. I've had some soft toast with some thinly sliced cheese to go with it. Time to get dressed to go to knitting.

Wondering if we'll hear from Dee today.

Morning….

We are being hit with a huge storm that started last night with lots of thunder and lightning. It continued off and on and then really hit big around 7:30’this morning. The rain is coming down in buckets and I’m sure Harmony is feeling the power of this storm.

We need the rain so I’m not complaining although my sunnies are getting a beating!

I am sitting outside in the protected part of my lanai enjoying the storm. I love days like this. Not all my routines are done, but they can wait till the storm is over. Besides the power and internet keep going off and on :D

Blessedw2 - it is good to see you posting again. ((((Hugs))) for the difficult medical decisions you and DH are facing. Thank you for the reminder to do the simple things that are so important - Smile, breathe and enjoy the moments!

My first 45 minutes of focus was a success. I planned and posted 21 homeschool assignments. I am over half done with this weekly task.

During my first break I went outside to observe the septic system working normally. THE MAN came and said it doesn't need pumped out and didn't charge us for coming. He will return to do the yearly pumping in July. I appreciate having a working septic system. I don't realize how important it is until it isn't there.

I also moved the rabbit exercise pen to a different location.

I exceeded the hourly 250 steps, so it is back to focused work for me. *POOF*

Glad to see Blessed here! A limited check-in (without cuop from the rest of us) is welcome. You don't need to know how we are doing but we need to know how you are doing!

Morning has been relatively successful. I'm slipping behind at the moment because there were a few other things I did cuz I forgot to put them on the schedule (for instance, watering the plants.) I'm ahead on the laundry and so that frees up 15 minutes later. Plus I built in a couple of breaks and hope to limit my nap today.

I should be vaccuming the office now because dh is watching tv at the moment. That will mean I won't disturb him later. He should be done his tv shows by 1:30 when I expect to vacuum in here.

After having dh home this weekend, I'm just sitting here enjoying the quiet right now. A.m. routine is underway.

I took care of a return, and purchased garden soil to pick up at Lowes, made a DPC and texted temple secretary re: cemetery bank stmt. Yelled a ddog who was digging in my raised beds. I'm thinking there's a chipmunk trying to shelter there, and I'm gonna need some fencing. And another phone call.

I've decided that rest of today is genealogy upstairs. I need to make the ddog come in but her paws are dirty. And I hate to leave her outside unsupervised.

I think the PODA for the week is:
Monday: genealogy upstairs
Tuesday: workout, go to plant nursery, pick up garden soil (might need more with ddog digging) also look at some kind of fencing for it, errand to send pkg back, now pick up cemetery check
Wednesday pedicure and open for the moment
Thurs - Friday get guest bedroom ready, clean up screened porch, clean public areas of house.

I have chicken meatballs with garbanzo bean pasta and brussel sprouts for supper. Easy prep.

Ddog is shut up on screened porch now.
