Went to knitting. Just as I was leaving to come home, our tractor guy called and said he could do the switchover for us this afternoon. Came home and told dh and I can hear him moving it from the storage area to the driveway. Dh was upset last week when we were told 2 to 3 weeks wait to get it done.

It's cold enough to be back in my winter coat and wearing a sweatshirt around the house.

We have decided on Hamburger helper for supper. I've taken the meat out to thaw.

Twins - I would try a sprinkle of something easily available that would be the smell the dog and critters don't like on your raised bed. My first thought is to sprinkle cayenne or black pepper.

I went to the grocery store to get a couple of must have items. We have a super busy week and I need ready-to-eat food available. Today I plan to make 16 hamburgers to have on hand for the kids. Also, a double batch of pimento & cheese spread. I am making a sausage, egg, potato, cheese casserole for the ready to eat meals too. I got a half dozen brownie mix boxes and a couple bottles of mustard to add to the collection being gathered for camp.

On the way home I called DSis because I knew her feeling would be hurt about yesterday. I wasn't the one who organized that gathering so I wasn't the person to decide who would be invited. However, I know DSis would find out about it and feel left out. When I called DSis I could hear anger in her voice but by the end of the phone call she was laughing and telling stories. I made sure DSis knew we dealt with an abundance of tics and poison ivy while there yesterday, so DSis was glad to not be dealing with that. I think her feelings were mostly smoothed.

Now I am definitely off my 45/15 minutes effort. However, the 45/15 got me started so i am considering it a successful tool.

I was going to toss did the trick after three times it did not last Yea for success!
I did not need lighter fluid!
Now I can get a pic of the cleaned up bed.
Counting that for some a m stretching and steps are up to my quota for this part of my day.

Hello everyone. Even though I don't post often, I look in as much as I can. I don't have my computer going nearly as much as in the past, but I think of everyone here often.

My daily routines are very much altered from when I had my own home, dh, pets etc. to look after. There is not much I am responsible for except my personal care...mainly my own room, laundry, breakfast and lunch. I also empty the dishwasher every morning. We have three cats here and one dog, none of which are mine. The only thing I do for them is to give the dog (a black lab) a cup of his food sometime in the morning; this is the other half of his breakfast which dson feeds him before going to work at 6 a.m. So I have to fill my free time with reading and sewing, or whatever. Every couple of weeks I make a trip to the local W-M or Target to pick up my vitamins and my own snack foods. I do buy some supplies for our food pantry, things that I know everyone eats; just my way of helping contribute to the family.

Back in the middle of Feb. dgrson injured his knee playing soccer. A couple of weeks ago he had surgery to replace this main tendon (ACL) and repair the two other tendons. He has been doing physical therapy and should fully recover; ddil says is will be nearly one year out for this.

I do have one bit of good news...I am going to be a great-grandmother come Nov. 1st. Dgrd H and her dh C are expecting; she is now 11 weeks along. We don't know what it will be yet. Needless to say we are all excited!

Next week is my last Zoom class for our Bible study this year. I have already registered for next year's class and I'm looking forward to that.

I watch the weather a lot to see how others are doing with the heat, cold and storms. We've had a couple of weeks in the high 80s here, but with the rain we had over the weekend the temps are supposed to be a little cooler in the 60s and 70s now for a couple of weeks; much better spring weather.

Twins… trying to say this delicately. If you take your dogs poop and place it in those holds she should leave it alone. And you might try lining the area with it as well.

18 cheeseburgers are done and individually packaged.

I'm taking a hour break and then will get started again. I'm taking DS14 out to eat and then to appt with his counselor tonight. It will be 8:30pm when we get home from that outing.

Was happy to see Elizabeth here the other day saying her foot is doing well after her surgery.

I continue to think about all the ones in a bit of a struggle these days. Blessed, your post made me think of DMom who is not with us any more. She was up in her 70's and had a bad blockage in her heart and she had a quadruple by-pass. She recovered pretty nicely and had a good year. After that another problem unrelated came up and she did not survive that. I know she was close to 80 when it was done. She had type 2 diabetes but otherwise was in pretty good health, no problems like your DH, but still, this is her story. I realize everybody is different and I'm sure you are making wise decisions and I wish you well and will continue my prayers.

Wondering about Dee and DH. I think of them often, also Kathryn and DH too.

Look at that! My sister is soon to be a great grandmother! Congratulations, and hope everybody enjoys this surprise.

I had routine Dr. appointment with my neurologist. I go twice a year just to say hi, hello, doing fine, ok next! Just so she'll continue to prescribe my medicine and check my lab work. Only this time was a trip and 1/2 to get there. Her office was demolished by the storm and last appointment was in a temp. spot, now she's moved to a new building in a new town. So with a great bit of difficulty I found the building and her office. It's not helpful when I called to ask the address and they gave me the number of her office not the number of her building. I thought the building couldn't possibly be the right one since they said 135 and the building was 713. Up and down and around 1-way streets till I just tried the building anyway, and found her up there on the 2nd floor. Next time I won't get lost.

Gassed up the car on the way home. It looked like rain but I thought oh I'll be ok there's a roof over the gas pumps...except the hurricane blew the roof off so I was lucky to get done and back in the car before the deluge came down.

RRose, yep we had a lot of lightning last night and rain. A bunch this morning early too. Rain gauge said 1 1/2". Happy to see that. This afternoon rain happened a bit south of the house and I drove through it but it's missed us here.

LadyM, sure glad you have a working septic now. When I was without all that time I washed dishes, capturing the drain water in buckets and emptying outside; laundry piled up; and I was waiting to flush, though DH was doing that a bit. It's wonderful to have working utilities!

The afternoon has been less productive. I got one credit card fully reconciled (including going through the pile of mail to open and doing the bill I found there.) I paid that bill and another. I made an DPC to update our insurance and I vacuumed the living and dining rooms.

On the other hand, I've also wasted a lot of time online playing card games, word games, jig saw puzzle and reading forums.

And I'm drowsy despite a 25 minute doze plus a diet coke.

All clean laundry is away. Dishwasher is going. There are 2 large pots waiting to be washed.

We have a rain/snow mix for our forecast tomorrow, so I don't plan on going anywhere as I expect the roads to be bad. If not the roads, definitely the drivers.

Lawn tractor was returned before we had supper. Snow blower attachment needs to be put away for the summer.

We have same forecast for tomorrow, Cathy. Yes, I'm back home in NY State at our campground. DD and I got here at 7:04pm Saturday. I've been completely exhausted. Management at the campground has things set up so that any member of our family is allowed to come in at any time/any day. They really want them to check on us "face to face" at least once a day. People here have been absolutely wonderful. Bending over backwards. I did leave dh for a little while today just to make a grocery run. DS-R came by and changed our battery in the smoke alarm. Dh had put last date it was changed was on 8/22. So at least that's stopped beating now. Campground doesn't open till 4/30 at 10am. Think people will be very surprised to see dh now.

I've pulled all the shades trying to keep it warmer in here tonight.

Dh of course went to his primary on Friday. Today he had us call with an update. He upped his furosemide, Kathryn, to 3 every morning and had me give him the 3rd after we talked with him today. His groin has been so swollen and red. We have to call back on Thursday to give another update. If there's not a noticeable change (for the better) he will try something else. Dh is still very tired and weak. He wanted to go shopping with me today but was too tired by the time I went.

Just remembered I need to get a bunch of canned goods from a bin that was on dd's golf cart. Certainly don't want them to freeze tonight.

I'll try to get here more tomorrow. I'm just very tired out. Our trip on Friday was 12 hours long and we managed to get to Lumberton, NC at midnight. Got up around 5:30am were here at 7:04pm. DD flew back to FL Sunday afternoon. Then she takes off for San Francisco on Wednesday as chaperone for a video team competition.
