What kind of author is Hoover? If we ever get our library back....
Study today, poor teacher woke up sick and couldn't come. So our group had someone else. Unfortunate because we were getting our plans together for our centerpiece for next Friday's brunch table. Every group has their own table and makes their own centerpiece based on something important to them from this year's study. We've been organizing ours. Everybody who is unable to make it next week, going back up north, etc. gave ME their part of the centerpiece. So I had a very heavy tote bag to lug home and then back again next week. I am happy to pitch in with our teacher absent. I am substitute secretary for our group too and our secretary wasn't here either so I did that too. I sent a message to the teacher about our progress and what stuff I've been given.
So, getting back to the title for today...my day has been frustrating. Really frustrating. DH came back with actual working plans and we attempted to put together the package. It took quite a while to organize and copy some things and fill in some things. We went to a county office and they wouldn't accept the form I gave them, said it was a copy not an original. So back home and I went through every file and paper pile here and I didn't have any other, so maybe I was never given the original.
I did go to the copy center and copy big pages that I can't do in my copier. Bought a set of BLUE pens because I couldn't find a single blue ink pen in the house. Filled out that form again in blue ink so they wouldn't accuse me of bringing a copy again. Course, now we're stopped until the owner can get her signature notarized on this form. I told her to use a BLUE pen this time.
So Yes, I am frustrated. I get to worry about this all weekend now. Blek!
I made a cake tonight. Not that we needed it, but..... I lost part of an earring today. Either out of the house or in here somewhere. 3 tiny brown beads with 2 gold beads. sigh.....

Re: Frantic, Frustrating, or Free Friday PWYC
Colleen Hoover, from the ones I’ve read, is basically a mystery/thriller/romance author.
Warning— she’s nothing like I would think Fifty Shades of Gray would be (I didn’t read those) but she doesn’t shy away from sex or language. No Jeannette Oakley (is that her name?) or the Amish romances.
I was not as carried away with Verity, Hoover’s latest, as I thought I would be. It received a lot of publicity, I think, and it definitely left me with the “didn’t see that coming” feeling… but it was just not as great as I was expecting.
Hard to keep up having to use the phone PLUS sharing it with dh.., shaking my head.
