Just looking in to keep tabs on what's going on today. Having a coffee.

I had a message from a gal in a company and sent DH by on his way home. They had a statement ready but wanted our email. He was out so I had him stop to just pick it up. I don't want to deal with any more email billing if I don't have to. Those have to be printed out, kept for tax purposes, and copied for customer. So up there at the company they asked everybody and nobody knew what DH was there for. I guess they asked everybody but the right person. I wasn't sure what it was all about so I couldn't tell him. Anyway, I called and set up the email. Another chore to keep track of.

So, because she made such a big deal about it I cleaned out my whole email box and never did find anything from her. Don't have anything good to say about all that.

Took DH down to the next town to pick up his truck. an hour of driving getting back and forth. Helped him move trucks around and get big one parked inside. I had gotten used to it not being here. It takes up all the available space in our shop.

We talked on the way down there about what we're going to do, how we'll manage, downsizing? and where / how we'll live. So many decisions to make. Right now he's off to help someone, use the dump truck to stand higher while our landscaper friend takes down a tree for someone. I hope he's not getting too involved with all this. We have a tiny little spot to fix on our roof...the inspector missed it thank goodness, but there's one shingle curled up and DH wants to plaster it down again with his roofing tar. Which means he will have to crawl up on the roof. He says he can crawl up there without standing up.... and it is looking like it may rain soon and we're supposed to get some rain storms this weekend. What's wrong with THIS picture?!

See ya later.

I didn't go to the hospital for the echo, but after dh got home, we went to pick up our new ATV/4 wheeler. Ours was unfixable. It had spark and fuel, but just would not start. Dh has already sold it to someone for parts. It's a 20 01 Yam aha. The new one starts the very first time you push the button. The old one never did that, at least no for me. This one also has a really easy gear shift. The other one was difficult for me.

I went to a local grocery store for a bunch of cold things for supper. It's soooo hot here.

BBQ flavour chicken wings, small Caesar salad for dh, cheesy macaroni salad for dh, potato salad, coleslaw, a slice of ham quiche for me and a couple of cabbage rolls for me. The quiche and the cabbage rolls need to be heated up. I will do that in the microwave.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Looking in from the “M” club for elites at the Marriott, lol. I’m having a good time and finding people to talk to. I went to the BCG board meeting this afternoon. Any associate can attend either in person or by zoom. Enjoyed the expo hall last night and almost felt like an extrovert talking to people.

I went to Appomattox yesterday afternoon on the way to Richmond. It’s killing me that I don’t have time for more sightseeing but I will need to be home on Sunday if I am leaving again on Wednesday a.m.

Miss you all, having a great time.

Thanks, Cathy, for the heads-up and for setting up the waiting room.

Belated Happy Birthday, Harriet! :D

Up to my eyeballs in work. Discovered this morning that I need to re-rearrange the text I previously rearranged. Was hoping to have questions ready for the expert by this evening. I think the best I will do is have the questions ready before I go to bed and try to set up a time early tomorrow to go over them. Break over — back to the grindstone.

I'd just gotten H and F for June posted and then couldn't access the boards. Am SOOOOOO glad that was not the case later in the day (or maybe not for anyone else). I was thinking, not today, we need to hear from Dee.
Miss you all, having a great time.

What a lovely postcard from Twins' trip!

Did go to one errand; only the one because it was farthest away, HRH agreed to go with, and he didn't want to stay too long. Got a $50 item returned within the time limit for money back. That was preying on my mind, so it's good to have it done. Also, I knew where road construction was happening and was able to steer him around it, so he was quite pleased with that, lol.

He and dd24 have been working on computers all evening. :geek: We had tacos together watching some funny old tv shows and then they plunged into the work. I have two new fans installed inside my computer workings, so it's nice to know things are copacetic inside there. Right now, the two of them are planning new tech purchases, each critiquing the others' priorities. :ugeek: I hear him giving her the "gaming is the hardest work a computer does" speech. She is one of the few people who can change the subject fast with him, though, and get decisions made. She just has his number, I guess. Or perhaps they are the same person. None of the other children dare challenge him like she does.

You would think I'm not important on such evenings, but I know where all the little screwdrivers are.

Time for exercise and bed.

Hi everyone! I did finally have something of an appetite, only for turkey & dressing from Cracker Barrel. Not a long term solution, they only serve it on Thursday. Tomorrow is chock full of chores. While the swamp cooler is being dealt with I can do some of them. Others I cannot. Knee doctor in the afternoon, could use prayers that it is (a) fixable and (b) not surgically. I have lunch scheduled with a friend, so I will eat well tomorrow too. She will want to see photos of my trip, but I had to purge my phone for space. (The photos are in my computer, just not in my phone).

Harmony: Have you checked your spam/junk mail folder?

So much to do this evening, so little inclination. The cats are fed because they insisted, but not much else.
