The fence fellas are working here again. Lotsa noise & activity.

I am trying to take it as easy as possible this morning. We will have a busy afternoon & evening in the city.

I am taking it easy as well this morning. It is muggy and I have not walked but I am on track for 1/4 of my steps for the day this far so that is good.
I knitted one point on the star dishcloth took a pause and have to relearn and count more than I use to.

Rocks I painted are dry. I have eyes on the ladybug rocks white and teal, got the sealer on em and they are outside to cure now.
I brought them back in bc of the humidity. 46 % we are supposed to get rain in the next 45 min. the weather guessers are not always right.

I had bfast.
Made my bed
qt & most journaling is done.

Last nite I had some vinegar one 1 T. of it and one of water my tummy issues are better yea so that is helpful!
Met the new neighbors down the street on the corner when we went for a walk.

My wheels are spinning and I am getting little to nothing done. Thank you for the updating and I have been on the phone with Sunny about it all, she had just found it when I called her. Of course we had to catch up on all the family news which took a long while.

I am back here to check on things when I found the sad news. I had to print out the coupon for the Rx I ordered, the other 2 are at the pharmacy for pickup 4 days from now. Why does this store take so long to fill a prescription? They never used to do this. The one with the coupon is ready the same day. DH's Rx's. He has almost a week left in his pill boxes so we are good...but I just have to find time and remember.

Off to print out my statement for this job of ours. We've gone over all the receipts I've copied to attach and made notes and added to a couple things... and there is so many items I don't think it will fit on my statement form...so I will make a small spreadsheet which of course takes longer... but here goes. Then I simply MUST get to the store before we starve to death here.

RRose, I think I didn't say yesterday I was sorry to read about your friend passing. And Elizabeth's kitty that obviously she got attached to when caring for it. Friends and pets. Hard to lose either.

Harmony…thanks!

Now we’re hearing that the husband told the police that he thought his wife and 19 year old stepson was going to hurt him. That along with his comment that God told him he could no longer be part of the family has us all scratching our heads. He was loved as much as his wife in our community and we don’t know what to think.

None of us were aware of any mental problems that he might have, and those closest to him swear he never does drugs. If this had been a random act of violence as horrible as that would be, knowing what our dear friend did to his wife does not make sense to any of us. Plus he shot our friend 15 times, and less than a week ago my friends spent time with this couple and said they were as loving to each others as they had ever been.

I went to knitting. When I came home dh's truck had been moved, so I asked how the doctor appointment went. He just shrugged. I will be going with him to the cardiologist tomorrow.

We went and did some banking. The 2 tellers seemed a lot less chatty today than they usually are. There was a guy behind me in line and he kept sighing. Dh and I went to the landfill and the woman in the booth at the weigh scales and the guys at the drop off part didn't seem too happy either. Normally the younger guy is chatty and smiling. Not today.

I need to get back to my paperwork and h is waiting for the woman who comes to trim his toenails.

We are having odds and ends from the freezer for supper.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

(((Rose))) That is such a strange thing that happened with this man and his wife. Scary, even, to think someone could just snap like that, with no warning signs. Of course, no one ever knows what goes on when people are alone... but still, you would thinks someone would have picked up on some kind of stress or unhappiness between them.

And yes, the new concern for Dee's health is heavy on my mind also...

Y
So true, LadyM... so thankful for our village. And so thankful that Cathy found the update and Kathryn reposted it for us!

(((Cathy))) Maybe the poor air quality in your area is getting everyone's mood? (((Kathryn))) also. Have fun with your friend!
I hope air quality is acceptable for your trip, Twins! Have fun!

(((Elizabeth))) for loss of foster cat. So good that it had a good home after it left you.

I am getting very little done as well, Harmony, but I did start organizing scrapbook stuff -- using that term (scrapbook) VERY loosely -- let's try again...
I did start putting news articles and clippings and misc. papers into page protectors and organizing them somewhat by date.
This in no way resembles a cute, attractive scrapbook. It is just better than having a box full of loose papers.

DS is on his way to North Carolina... (Charlie Poole Festival, Harriet) and I just found out * surprise * we will have both dgrands Friday and Saturday nights. We'll manage... but oh my goodness, dgs loves to aggravate her. And SHE is easily aggravated.

Nancy, my dh was taking vinegar each night for his stomach and then he started thinking maybe it was making his arthritis worse.
Has anyone ever known of any connection there? Is vinegar too acidic or something?
He thought it did help his stomach problems.
It definitely took my dmom a year to get over ddad's death... more than a year, honestly.

Soooo...
Need to do/want to do?
I'm still just letting the music play in my head... finishing up the laundry is #1 priority, I suppose, because it is high on Sheldon's list.
Afterwards -- I'll stick with the page protectors since that mood has hit me, and some more computer task.

* OH -- former student messaged me and said it isn't looking good, but he hasn't exhausted ALL his options yet. Sigh... I do hate to have to start over with everything I've lost.
Tomorrow is another day.

Hello everyone. I had been checking every day and this morning I had just seen the post in J & C when I received Harmony's call. We did have a nice chat!

I am thankful for Dee's DD's update, but it wasn't the news I expected. (((Dee and dfamily))) are in my thoughts and prayers.

(((Rose))), praying for you for the loss of your dfriend. I'm sorry it was such a terrible situation.

And (((Lady M))), you and dfamily are in my prayers for the situation with your neighbor.

Elizabeth, I was sorry to hear about losing your foster kitty.

The air quality here is worse than it was yesterday. I looked up the AQI on the weather app I have on my phone and it says for my area 182 which they class as very unhealthy. We have what appears to be total cloud cover and haze. I feel bad that Canada is having all the wild fires, hopefully we will all have some rain to take away the fires and smoke hazzard for everyone. Kathryn and Cathy I know it is especially hard on you and your dfamilies. I am about 40 miles south of DC; dson says we are not as bad here at home as it is up there where he is working.

I just talked to dson-J, my middle child. I was able to wish him a happy 49th birthday. I wish I could have given him a hug also.

My routine chores are done. Bills are paid for the month, laundry is done for the week, my room spiffed up and the kitchen is cleaned, (ddil's dmom and I share that item.) In a few minutes I might take a walk up the driveway and bring in the mail.

Yesterday & the day before I finally felt like myself today not so much.
Might be hormonal.
Now I need to do a clean up after painting rocks, painting supplies are on the kitchen counter.
Had dinner & did up the dishes.
We did get a bit of rain.
Spiffed up the kitchen some more.
Glad rain held off till evening bc schools had outside play day here today for end of the year glad rain did not ruin those events.

Thanks for all the comments about my friend.

I texted my brother this morning about the smoke. He is in NJ but 15 miles from NYC as a crow flies across the water. He sent me a picture of the Sun and you could hardly see it from the smoke.

Hurray I found my remote in a wooden jewelry box that I moved onto my guest bedroom closet. A few days ago Nancy mentioned making a list of projects she wanted to work on. I did the same listing the reorganization of my closets …well 3 of my closets and all my drawers have been done all because I couldn’t find the remote.

I’m so happy with the way things now look I ordered plastic coverings for my wire shelves in my pantry… which I hate by the way. Which of course means I’ll have a major project to do once the material arrives. Plus if I like how everything looks and works I’ll do my MBR closet.

The three rooms I worked on this week are looking good and I am happy with the results, same with all my closets and drawers
