OMM has finally been started.

But I first did the inventory to the freezers and updated the list on the fridge. Also, finally, learned how to delete phantom printers from Office 365.

Next up 15 minute nap.

I've been relatively productive. The screened porch and house are in good enough shape. I'll leave soon for my workout and get gas first. When I come home I'll s2s and make the dip that dh wants. I can also wipe down some chairs in the yard if the weather holds. I am not making myself crazy entertaining this time.

I also did an online return and packaged it to return. I'll need to drop it off tomorrow.

and later, after my workout. I never have enough focus to post when I'm done writing

Workout was good. Some stretching, some strength, some balance too.

I'm going to s2s next.

My thoughts were with LadyM, Dee, and Blessed this morning. Is it cathy's DH's birthday? Happy Birthday!

The mail lady came early today and I was still making out the card that was to go off today. Not a problem, I figured an extra day or two on all the mailings.

Not a lot done today so far. And I was up late. Anyway, OMM are several things. I want to go through a couple drawers in my little dresser (it's not really a dresser, it's one of those metal framed, plastic drawer units). I figure if I can get all my clothes in one of those, except for the stuff I hang up, I don't have too many things. My everyday tops drawer is too full. I am getting rid of those old things that are kinda tattered. I should be wearing some nicer things...so I'm going to switch things out.

And I have a top to do some sewing on so I can wear that every day. I think I'll work on that next.

Thank you for the birthday wishes for my dh. He's a very good man and treats me like gold, even though I tend to grumble about him all the time.

The day fell apart. The most important thing didn't even get started.

After a nap and playing on my phone, I got up to make myself a hamburger chowder for my dinner. The meat was defrosted. Started the rice, started cooking the meat and onions, went to get the canned tomatoes out of the pantry and there were none.

Scrambled to think of something else to make, gave up and went to the internet and googled hamburg soup with no tomatoes. Found one that used tomato sauce, I had tomato paste and so googled and could substitute that, and I substituted Oxo cubes (diluted) for beef broth and was off to the races. I didn't have Italian seasoning so used basil and oregano, should have added extra garlic powder, added some seasoning salt, pepper and a can of beans that the recipe didn't call for.

It actually turned out quite good so there are two single servings and a double serving in the freezer for other meals.

The evening I spent helping clean up the kitchen (between us, dh and I used every pot but 2 and 2 crock pots. The rice was abandoned (its in the fridge for now cuz dh wanted to try to make fried rice but I don't think he can without having to buy some sauces we don't use, maybe I could try to make rice pudding.)

Now it is time for bed. My Monday just fully booked up so I don't know when my next day off will be. Sigh....

Happy Birthday to Cathy's dh!

((LadyM)), honestly, I expected you to answer me with a quick post about a few scrapes. Yipes! What a disappointment you didn't have a camera recording in that space - what a keepsake that film would have been. You will tell dr about the fall, yes? Doctor might be very interested both for your recovery and for thinking about the potential assist that the infusions had given you. Although I'm sure you were barely able to think, it does sound as though you took the fall in the best way you could, rolling with the fall, as they used to tell us when we were kids. How I wish it had not been a downhill roll.

It is dd43's dmil who was in a wreck, Harmony, where that family lives several hours from here. She has learned that the break of the kneecap is expected to knit together as it is (?). She will be 6 weeks in her dd and dsil's home and care, with a brace/straight-cast thingie, but expected to do without a wheelchair. I can't quite figure that one out, but I guess they know what they are doing. Her own house was a complete non-starter with the social worker people. They said no way they could see her recuperating there, caring for herself, or figuring out how to get around in her small and tight house. This dd is always the one who is quick tempered with her mother, but it is what it is. This dsonil, however, is cool-headed, never gets excited. There is an adult son (grandson) who comes on weekends and is the thoughtful, problem-solver type. I'm sure they can make it work.

These sandwiches with fresh garden veg are spoiling me.

Today was a big clean of the kitchen. Seems to need that way too often. How are we getting it to such a state so regularly?
