Managing Monday PWYC
Manage your day, don't let it manage you. Plan and be proactive about what you can reasonably do and stick with the plan!
While we're at it, this is the last week of June, and the last week of first half of the year. What can you do to manage the rest of the year proactively?

Re: Managing Monday PWYC
So I'm debating whether to attend the funeral at ten. I need to get crackin' if I am. Announcement was made yesterday that the widow has COVID but rest of family members have tested negative. So she will Zoom but rest of family members will be present. So masks are recommended for service inside. I'm thinking of how social I've been lately, especially with temple people, some of whom have seen widow and the family, and wondering if I can Zoom instead, So I think I'm convinced.
I also need groceries today.
And some downtime without dh underfoot!

Re: Managing Monday PWYC
I'll TRY to manage my Monday.
Recently I've been following a page on FBook called Abandoned Ontari o Places. My goodness! Some places are left so tidy, with the beds made. Other places are completely empty with the paint peeling off the walls because the homes are old. Other places have been ransacked and tagged by people with spray paint. If someone is going to take pictures of my house after we're gone, I don't want pictures of the way it looked this morning when I woke up. In other words, I need to do last night's dishes!
There are very few things that dh does around here anymore, other than looking after the veggie gardens and doing the weed whacking. Yesterday he said he was going to do it. This morning he said he was thinking about doing it, but it makes his back hurt. (It's a large, gas powered one like landscapers use) I asked him if he was considering getting a smaller, lighter one and he said no. I told him that it was always going to make his back hurt because it's large and heavy and it wouldn't get any easier. I also told him that I'm not going to do it, because I do everything else around here and I'm not doing that. He didn't like me saying that, but I just told him straight out that I will NOT be doing the weed whacking with that machine.

I am up my BS is in Ack land. Hormones I suspect. sigh . .
Not sure when the crew will begin and other things with the roof & deck, but at least I've made progress getting that grape vine off and some clean up of it. Dgd may be here too with the crew working with her dad.
I have three bucket of stuff to go in the dump trailer when it gets here.
My kitchen could use some attn.
It was quiet when I woke up I could not hear any birds.
Now I can I have a window open.
I slept well still waking up.
Glad I watered last evening.
Waving to all!

Re: Managing Monday PWYC
My day has got away from me.
My morning meeting at the bank was cancelled but dd set me off on a rabbit hole and I'm not dressed yet.
First load of laundry is done in the washer, so I'll flip that, get dressed, put fresh sheets on the bed and towels in the bathroom and then start the load of towels in the washer.
I have a plan!

Re: Managing Monday PWYC
~~~waving Hello to all~~~~~
I consider myself 100% recovered from covid. I am 24 hours without any meds and no symptoms. My temperature is normal this morning.
I am about 90% recovered from falling down the cellar steps. The scabbed over gash & cuts are not inflamed and continue to heal. I expect to have these large bruises for many more days (weeks?). I am careful when I kneel onto a solid surface because my left knee is still tender to touch. The swelling has reduced, and I have complete movement.
I will be working on getting my stamina back. I am reducing my recliner time from 45 minutes to 35 minutes of rest. Then I get to do things until I get tired. Rinse/repeat
I have been to the garden twice this morning to walk and play. I know 99% of people don't share my love for being in the garden and that's okay. Each time I go it feels like a gift and is my happy place. The first time I went to the garden I harvested tomatoes. The second time I push mowed the grassy area in the center of the garden.
I am not helping with VBS this morning. I will be taking DD12 to the city for her appt with counselor this afternoon. I am not sure that I have enough endurance to do both. I decided to do only one and see how my staying power held up.
I just placed a wm curbside order for 18 items. I can pick it up while DD12 is talking to the counselor. I am thankful to have this option.
Re: Managing Monday PWYC
I walked a mile with the dog - three laps around out circle, then s2s-ed.
I'm watching the Zoom funeral online and see that many other opted for Zooming, so I'm good with that decision. (Update, funeral was done around eleven and I'm still here an hour later.)
Dh and are eating out tonight and he just called to ask if he could invite someone else.
Response from a doctor covering for mine that we'll retest week after next. He didn't seem concerned about the rest of the report.
I've been down a bit of a rabbit hole, unfortunately.
I ordered my deli meet so I can just pick up at the grocery store later. It's ready by 12:50 so I'm going to cool my heels a little bit by finishing a.m. routine, and then I'll go.
So for now I need to finish a.m. routine and dailies.
Re: Managing Monday PWYC
We leave in about 2 hours.
I have the bedrooms vacuum and dusted and the bed remade. Last load of laundry is now done so I shall fold and put away.
The living room and dining room are dusted and ready for vacuuming. I put new charcoal filters into the air filters and have ordered HEPA filters for them. They only need replacing once a year (and were done last November or December) but I feel that these might unusual times so I should replace early.
Air quality has improved to "unhealthy" (from dangerous) and we can see downtown and the Gatineau Hills so I've taken off my mask and am doing fine without it.
Back to the house blessing.
