I've put away all the clean towels from the dryer. The music is on. Dh is in the HOT shower. There is a guy coming to do the weed whacking with in the hour. Dh sprayed the interior of the house with the flying insect killer. Hopefully this will be the last time. That stuff is nasty.

Spaghetti and meatballs for supper tonight.

It's cool here today as compared to last week. It rained overnight. It's too windy outside to burn stuff. Too bad, because we have a lot of cardboard that needs to get cleaned up out in the garage.

RRose I'm going to clean my closet now. I have nothing else to do today, so it's a good day to get it done.

Clean laundry from the dryer is all away. I have the largest mountain of stuff on my dresser and I just want it all gone, so that will be the second part of the project today.

I've washed most of the floors and done some dusting to get rid of even more deconstruction dust.

Laundry mountain is being dealt with. Both blankets and a full size pillow have all been put away. Winter jackets are now all together. Some summer stuff from a drawer are in the donate pile after being tried on. Wrinkly stuff is going into the dryer. Some "hang to dry" wrinkly stuff will get sprayed with water and re-hung to dry. Dresser is clear.

I KWYM about walking into an area room or closet just to look at it!
I put away a few thing in the shed, more to come out for organising and use on the deck I have two cubes in there.
Put away baskets in the rec room for the decor in that space.
Walked later than I normally do to go back to that yard sale got some pampering items, ddog picked out a stuffy for herself , got a follow your dreams mini sign, and llame cup dgd luvs llamas, some makeup bags for my Rx. in my purse, a shabby sheek tin pail for plants a beach shoulder pack walking 3 blocks with these items and ddog on a lead was quite the sight! LOL! .

Back home considering how to keep cool 99* today and t-shorms in the p m here I need to have my bfast.
I have watered in front & did some hand wash.
Kitchen could use a spiff.
Mowed the back yard so I can water later today.

I have been to the produce stand for zucchini & pumpkin & zucchini bread.
I've been back to the yard sale for free rocks to paint.
Also to the local market sm. groc. store for a few items got lemonade in a can for the crew that was a hit.
I am inside hiding from the heat now.
Will have to do online church again.

I've walked the dog and did some yard work. Discovered that the yard people have let the kudzu grow up to our wall. We keep a pebbled strip between the wall and the drop off and try to keep the kudzu back. I also pooper scooped the yard.

We're going to have dfriends M and S over tonight - these are the friends we travel with. We're going to Europe with them next spring and the two of them have done the groundwork and planning. It will be fun to catch up and talk. I'm afraid I'm going with what we have here - we're taking steak from the freezer but I have broccoli and a green salad otherwise....

Anyway, dh is watching tennis, I'm piddling on the computer.

Everything I am doing today feels like DDee is nodding and sending encouragement.

I took care of the nursery this morning during the later service. I had 2 toddlers that wanted to be held. We did puzzles and read books while they sat in my lap. DH did the communion and offering part of the service, so I enlisted DS14 and DD12 to help me in the nursery. The 3 other toddlers loved interacting with them.

I rarely crave sweets but today I wanted to do something out of my normal. I got a sweet treat at a local ice cream store. I'm not sure it provided the comfort I was seeking.

Lucylee: in answer to your question, since the boards seemed to have healed themselves, I will wait until after our vacation. So nothing will be done until after July 22.

Well. So sad to see the news in J&C. LadyM, thanks for letting us know.

Now I'm kinda speechless. I was doing pretty well with productivity around here today. DGD is not with us this afternoon. She * may * have a fracture in her foot! She skipped church and ddil took her to get it x-rayed. Then she stayed home with ds and ddil and let her foot rest this afternoon. DDIL said we might not hear till tomorrow from the x-ray.

Thank you, Kathryn, for your response to my question. Everything does seem to be working perfectly from my point of view here.

DH and I, and dgs did go to church, and dgs was an acolyte. Today the preacher used him as an example of someone who was taking part in worship, participating, singing, etc... and afterwards, said we should all put a smile on our faces like dgs, that it just warmed her heart to see him. She has not mentioned having anyone sit with him since that one time when he was kinda hyper, and he really did a good job today. PERHAPS the melatonin I gave him last night helped? He said he slept better than he has in YEARS! LOL. He was very tired when we got home last night, but I gave him two melatonin gummies about half an hour before he went to bed, and for the first time, he did not ask for his phone, computer, or the tv to be left on! (DDIL was giving him melatonin last year when school started, but they had stopped that somewhere along the line. I asked her if I could get some for him to take on Saturday nights, because he is always so sleepy on Sunday mornings. Maybe it will continue to work this well all the time!)

Since we got home from church and his piano lesson, I've talked to dmom, taken my allergy shots, emailed doctor for refills, and bought groceries. Put away most of the groceries.

Now -- need to finish that, and wash a few dishes left in the sink, and take trash to the road.

Just sitting here now... trying to process this news about our dear Dee... I do feel speechless.
