Tuesday TO DO PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

All I can think about is what I need to make happen to get away this afternoon to Nashville. I'll check into hotel tonight and be at the library/archives in the morning, hopefully when they open!

What are your to dos for today? Feel free to list along with me.

I don't feel very together today - maybe that should have been my theme: Get it TOGETHER Tuesday?

Anyway:
11 blood drawn for retesting
2 workout - head out from workout

For today:
-info for dh - I bet he doesn't even know how much food ddog eats daily now
-bank, deposit temple check (can do after workout, before hitting the highway)
-water indoor plants
-pick up meds at drugstore
-refill meds containers
-usual a.m. routine and dailies, at least what I can get done
-pick ripe tomatoes (are they better on vine outside or on kitchen counter? Dh won't eat them....)
-pack

-what else?

If I've figured out things right, I've updated my signature to honor Dee.

And I've created a post for a virtual wake.

And I've fixed the photo posting problem so that you can post pictures in the wake if you want. (Limit of 3 per post.)

I've been productive so far. We are expecting it to be hot later today, so I'm trying to get stuff done this morning.

I've swept and mopped bathroom floor. I've soaked, washed and rinsed the compost bucket. Dh doesn't care if he drips orange juice all over the handle, the front, the island... I've taken out 1/2 of the kitty litter and the compost bag and the recycling bag, which was full.

Now dh has gone to try to get his hair cut again. Hopefully the woman who cuts his hair is available today. Dh has enjoyed having someone local, but he's fed up with not being able to get his hair cut because they are so busy.

We also went out for breakfast.

I have been up since 4  LOL!
Got to see the sunrise from my deck as I sipped coffee.
I have been watering.
Hand wash is drip drying.
PLanning happened.

Moved a couple of stepping stone type rocks for the new steps considering my options for that now.
I elevated my deck desk top with some left overs I snagged works great now! Yea.
Some breakfast happened
Walk next up and I need a end cap for my lawn chair.
Glad it's cooler today in our forecast.
Trash is at the curb.

Patio garden area redo is on my mind.
I have plenty of extra plants to divide and move some to take out as well.
I have decided it is a no bbq zone that is not my thing and it's messy!Waving to you all!
Walked!

Updated my post above while others were posting.

Here are my goals for the day:

1. weekly house blessing
2. Laundry. So I can....
3. Do ironing (I always think of Lucylee when I iron! And Harriet when I avoid it by 'finger-pressing' the bits that might need ironing when hanging up things to dry) so I can....
4. Finish packing
5. Start the shut down list for the apartment, specifically balcony prep and finding someone to check my mail.

Dinner tonight is frozen tourtiere, which takes an hour to cook but is easy to make, along with a chop salad to use up the rest of my fresh veggies. I can't take fresh fruit/veg/milk across the border so have to eat and drink up these items before we leave. My yogurt and the milk I bought yesterday are good until the end of the month so will be consumed when we get back.

But first: s2s

Dh finally got his hair cut. He's happy, so I'm happy.

Hello SHE friends.

I stopped in late last night to catch up on a few more posts before bed and came upon Lady M's post on 7-9 suggesting we take a deep breath before reading update on dear Dee in J&C. I'm glad you worded it that way, Lady M, as it would have been a shock without that bit of mental preparation. How I hoped & prayed that she would continue to steadily improve. I've missed her here & miss reading her posts.

Was up at 5:00AM. Dh had some outpatient surgery this morning, nothing serious. All went well. We are not used to getting up that early, but glad it is done. I made dh some scrambled eggs, toast & bacon when we got home, & I had some of the eggs. He went back to bed as soon as he was done eating. I mixed extra cocoa powder in my hot milk for the caffeine boost. I'm already feeling sleepy but am waiting until after lunch to take a nap. I don't have any concrete plans for the rest of the day, although there are plenty of things to choose from.

More another day ...

I am making progress. I need to s2s to finish a.m. routine, although, with a workout later it may not make sense.

For today:
-info for dh - I bet he doesn't even know how much food ddog eats daily now
-bank, deposit temple check (can do after workout, before hitting the highway)
-water indoor plants
-pick up meds at drugstore
-refill meds containers
-usual a.m. routineand dailies, at least what I can get done
-pick ripe tomatoes (are they better on vine outside or on kitchen counter? Dh won't eat them....)
-pack: in process
