Well I just got back from getting my hair cut and then eating my lunch. My hair had gotten pretty long so I cut off about 2 inches and am happy with that. I like it long as I can put it up in many different ways while its so hot around here. I sleep with it wrapped in a bun because I cant stand to feel my hair hanging around the back of my neck. Think it from all those years I rolled my hair every night and then slept on it that way.
We finally had a good rainstorm this morning. Thunder work me up at 4:30 this morning, but I was able to get back to sleep. Got up and drank my coffee and did my morning routines before I left for my hair cut.
Yesterday I had to take Sweetie to his sleep disorder appointment. His dr ordered a sleep test and this was an orientation appointment. His test will be later in Aug. The nurse we talked to said there have been recent studies that using a c-pak when needed helps to slow down Alzheimer's for some people. Told Sweetie that his restless legs..I call them his giggly legs..are caused by not enough oxygen reaching his brain and the restless legs are a way to wake his body so he will breath more. We'' see what the tests show.
And since we were in a part of town that we don't usually travel to, I took the opportunity to take Sweetie out to lunch at one of our favorite places to eat. The original restaurant that was only 2 miles from our home, but was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. It was on the water front and swept away by the storm. The food is wonderful and we really missed it not being close by. Our lunch did not disappoint, we had grouper tacos...and I told Sweetie it looked like we would be come back to the new place at least once a month.
Sweetie thanked me for a wonderful adventure. I hadn't eaten much on Sat or Sunday because I had a stomach flair up and I was really hungry.
Tomorrow I have an appointment to have my car looked at. The trunk latch is not working properly so I haven't been able to use it. Too afraid I'd get my groceries in there and then wouldn't be able to open it. Also the bell that dings when you leave your keys in the ignition or forget to put on your seat belt keeps going off when it shouldn't. I want to take Sweetie on a day trip up to Sarasota, but don't want to take a trip there unless I am sure the car is working properly.
My former husband was a builder and I often wonder what he will do with all his equipment and tools. I still talk to him and at this time he is just letting it sit in his shop. Sweetie has boxes of stuff as well as tools sitting in our garage as well. He also has a bunch in his office. I know he will never use most of it again but I don't think he will be getting rid of much any time soon. I might be able to prod him along a bit since we are now in discussions as to what our future holds. We downsized when we moved here. We have a single story home and lawn service just for that reason. This home is smaller than I would like, but know I can handle it on my own. All of our recent decisions have been based on that, and thankfully Sweetie was agreeable to most.
His Shelby Cobra still sits in our garage and he's only driven it twice around the neighborhood. I am waiting for him to decide to sell it.
Congrates to all Nancy,, Blessed, Harmony, and Mystery are getting done!!! Feels good doesn't it. I must boast that my closet is still in pristine condition and still looks exactly like it did when I finished working on it. What that tells me is I set it up and found all the perfect homes for everything in it. We both still enjoy looking at. I love when that happens
