Yesterday in the afternoon I went outside to bring in the things I was working with and once I got there decided to do a little. I got a little bit done. Then DH definitely needed help with those vents. I worked with him for hours. It did not go well. Was a lot of work and stuff we did for nothing because it turned out not to fit properly so we ended up putting a plate over the vent openings. I guess we'd have to buy brand new vent kits to make it work... so now both sides are just covered. It would be nice to have them again...but we weren't able to make that happen. I worked awfully hard with him but it's neat now, that's all I can say about it.
Today I got the 2nd side done as good as I was able. I got DH painting on the signs, putting the white base coat on. I brought in the board I bought for the truck itself and we found the black enamel paint and I found the little brushes and I lettered and painted that sign which we will put in the front window at the street for people to see. Truck and tools for sale and our phone number. We pulled it out toward the road. We'll put signs on the road to direct people here. I still have to letter those signs.
DH was unable to find pricing for it, but I got the original title and I will spend some time looking for a current price. I told him to remember that every year we don't have this truck we will save $1,000 insurance. So, I don't really care what it sells for, we both just really want it gone. I'm surprised how on board he is with all this, even to selling all the tools also. I'm very grateful.
That's all my news. I had to do laundry again. I don't have enough work clothes. Several pairs had holes in them and I threw them away. Now I don't have enough. So... Tells me I'm doing too much work!
