Twins - WOW! I don't know what the rest of your day will hold but you are rocking the start of your day. BWTG!

We continue in our effort to have all personal care done by 7:30am. Today I shaved 19 minutes off my previous time to finish by 7:47am. Hopefully the more we practice the easier it will get. I want this to be a no stress accomplishment by the time the kids start school. I don't want them arriving/starting school all stressed out with trying to get things done.

I foolishly stopped taking the steroid and Benadryl because I thought the rash was done. Nope. It didn't take many hours of no meds for me to discover the meds are still needed. Still no fever so I will continue doing what is working. Thankfully the rash isn't spreading but just got angry when I paused the meds.

I am considering doing a 90 day challenge but haven't committed to it ....yet. I am hesitating because I don't want to fail. Part of me says YOU CAN DO IT! The other part of me says.. If I don't try, then I can't fail. Hum.....

CI ~ I tweaked my back yesterday so am on a rest day.
I slept well but I can tell not much of my regular stuff is happening.
I asked a neighbor to put my trash out so that happened.
We got rain so I do not have to water.
ddog will have to play in the yard for exercise, she keeps going in the spare room to play on that bed then cannot get back out and closes the door on herself I had to get up to let her out of there so I closed it and the creativity room.
I hurts to bend over had to get creative with a couple of tasks like when I dropped my cane have not used it in several years. I have my stick with a hook on the end [for berrying ] I brought it inside last week so it helps to fetch things! Off the floor like the bucket for dog feeding we are using currently till I am better

Errands that I was going to do doubt will be today.
Glad I did bring in the vinyl tablecloth off the deck table b/c of the rain that was good.
It is good to hear of your activities today thanks for sharing.
Did my journaling planning inside this morning.
Waving to all!

Today is same schedule as yesterday except we don't start until eleven, for the benefit of those on the west coast, I guess. i was up at seven, and am doing okay on time so far.

The painting people are here today also, and are setting up outside. I'm leaving the garage door open for them to get drinks, and leaving the front door open for bathroom breaks.

The two big things right now are breakfast and s2s.

------------------

And later, I'm s2s-ed and having breakfast. I gave ddog meds to help her settle because they're tap tapping and bumping all around the house. I think they tap in nails and caulk all the seams first.

I'm having a peach as my breakfast fruit and it is soooo good.

I was woken up by the delightful (NOT!!) smell of a skunk that had sprayed very close to us somewhere. Possibly on the driveway. Ah... the joys of country life!

I couldn't get back to sleep. I finally let the cats out around an hour after I woke up. I wanted to make sure the skunk was gone. Dh didn't see any dead ones nearby, so I guess it was just a visit from one.

I vacuumed, swept and washed floors. I asked dh if he wanted to go to Walmart with me because I wanted a new mop head and I needed more bleach. We went and got back and I put everything away and here I am. We also got 5 more flowers for me to plant as 3 of the other ones all died. I got all the new plants for a grand total of $7. They are clearing them out and there is a sign stating that July 30 is the last day. It's a large greenhouse that is selling these.

Supper tonight will be sausages, peppers and onions and potatoes. I will do them all on the BBQ in separate packets.

Upstairs now and class has started.

I've done well getting a.m. routine done this morning, EXCEPT I haven't done the balance exercises. I got garbage can out early too, which is great because they ran early too.

Oh no, Cathy!

I woke up with no migraine...always a good sign.

Been busy doing catch up with routines. Vacuumed my floors. My little vacuum just wasn't doing the job, so I turned it upside down and discovered the roller was jamming. Took a knife and started cutting through all the strings and stuff caught around the roller. Tried to take it apart but non of my screw drivers worked. Same with Sweetie's. Went back to doing it the old fashion way with tweezers and a knife and managed to slice part of my pinky finger. Not bad, just enough to drip blood around. Haven't done that in a long time.

Reorganized a drawer that's been bugging me. Didn't take long and glad I did.

Harmony...Do you have an aloe plant with some spikes you can break of and use the juice? It's helped me many times when nothing else would.

Kathryn ...that flooded area looks alot like what happens when hurricanes hit either in the southern areas of AL, and MS. Same thing happens quite often in my home town beach when storms and high tide come in at the same time. People have started building their homes way up high above their garages and have to take their cars across the bridge to the next town so their cars don't go under. However the shops and places to eat are not so lucky.

I received a call the other day from someone searching for ancestors with my last name. He found my brother on FB, and my brother sent him to me. Very interesting because first I had know idea I had any families with my last name that I didn't know about. This fellow is in the state next to me and it came as a complete surprise. My third generation g-father came over from Prussia in the 1840's and had 6 children,...5 boys and one girl. The entire family settled in Jersey city and eventually fanned out through the state.

My last name is extremely uncommon or so I thought. Before the internet I would always go through the phone book if I was in a different city or state to see if I could find a person with my last name. One thing I do know for sure is my last name comes either from Prussia/Germany or Norway. This relative my new friend is trying to research is very puzzling to me and I can find very little information about him. He was born in 1824 and while researching about him, discovered 5 other men from the same area with my last name dating back to 1740's. They all live in Reading, PA so I'm going to go down the rabbit hole today to see what I can find.

I am agonizing over a decision. I received a text message from DGS16 "Nana, you guys gotta come down here next week so me and DS14 can hangout and you guys can see the horse farm" How to respond? My first instinct is to respond with YES! But then I started to consider the real life things this will affect and all that will need to happen to make it possible. And the consequences of going and as well as the consequences if we don't go. decisions decisions.

I am copying CathyS meal later today.

I installed & configured another ring camera. When prime day happened, the camera was reduced to $29 so I decided it was a fair price to enable me to monitor the garden area. It is free to add more cameras to our plan, so it was a one-time cost. I am not using the camera to monitor the garden for people but for critters. I find myself using our cameras daily for a things I never considered. Recently our town cop stopped by and asked me to review our cameras to see if a pickup pulling a trailer went by around 3am. He had a report of seeing a stock trailer containing children but the person making the report didn't provide much information. The cop was seeking information in his investigation. Our cameras did show a pickup pulling a stock trailer went by our house at that time so that verified that part of the report and gave him information what the pickup & stock trailer looked like and which direction it was traveling.

LadyM, as long as your new camera doesn't pick up pictures of a skunk...like cathy! I've btdt with decisions about family. We didn't go to Thanksgiving celebration on the other coast with family, too far, and I worried about the same thing.

RRose, I never thought about aloe. You weren't talking about drinking it were you? It would be a sticky mess to put on one's face. But I'd do it if it worked. I don't have a plant but they sell them everywhere and I think we can buy aloe stuff too. I did use the salve I was told not to put on my face, out of desperation, and it helped but I can feel it needs more now and I'm afraid to use it. What happens to a person whose skin on their face thins? Guess I'll check out the honey Harriet recommends. I sure need to do something.

Got that business survey to do, something from u.s. Census B ureau and I've done that before and it is legit... so I'll get that out of the way. It's done online. Not much of a company to survey...but I suppose they'd want to know that too.

It's 98° here. I can't complain. My cousin in Sun City says predictions for today are 118° but at least she isn't getting wildfires where she is. I'm wondering if they are where RRose used to live?
