Harmony...I have used it on my face straight from the plant. It just hardens on the skin, but you can find aloe juice or salve at the drug stores.
LadyM... what 90 day challenge are you considering?
Nancy...I have hit a wall while searching for my friend's relative. I can't find his father which is odd and I've been to several of my genealogy site with no luck. The problem is my last name has many different ways to spell it. So far I've discovered 6 different variances of my name. I was aware of 4 of them, but two are new to me.

Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
I'm continuing my ta das by knocking out three during the lunch break:
-went to temple and picked up ck for cemetery
-handed cemetery bill to post-lady instead of taking it by the post office. She was on the circle when I left
-dropped off expired meds/drugs at police center. There were some of those from before we moved here, i.e. before July 2012. Also some for my mother.
My eyes are pretty well glazed over this afternoon.
Next break at 5:45 I'll have to walk the dog, "feels like" 95.
Dh brought home our dinner last night. I had 1/2 last night and the other half for my lunch today. I'll have a big salad tonight. I should boil a couple of eggs too.
This morning I disposed of the dead tomato plant and tied up the one that is still producing. I think I'm being productive this week because my time is more limited so I'm not wasting it.

I have fixed my lunch. Not a whole lot else rested. Got the can back from the road.
I could check mail for some activity.
I picked up the drop cloths that were on the patio concrete got em folded and on the counter to dry we had rain
in the nite. No major feat but all I could muster and did one more thing on my pretty up the patio challenge.
My dishes are soaking. LOL!
Got the dishes washed. Now to just get em put away
today I just used the ones from yesterday to save the hassle.
Did some stretching chatted with my dsis.
Had my dinner. Took Ibp too.
Watered the plant cage area.

Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
Logging all my food into cronometer. I just realized where my reluctance to commit to 90 day challenge is coming from. I am eager to do the challenge RIGHT NOW but I hesitate to commit to the unknown of future days.what 90 day challenge are you considering?
Instead of a 90-day commitment, I am going to see how many days in a row I can do. If/when I don't log my food then I will simply start over at Day #1 again.
I do have a macro goal that I want to meet, but that is a challenge for another time. First, I must get back in the habit of consistency with logging food. It is the information that I am seeking the most. Once I have knowledge of the macros & nutrients that I am eating then I can analyze the data and make decisions.
Our regular & feels like temp is currently 106F. DD12 and I just went on a short outing, and I didn't notice the heat. Our weather pattern is stuck in a boring mode for at least the next 10 days. Temps are between 104 - 110F during the day and cooling down to 73-77F at night. No rain is predicted.
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.

Just cuop. Last thing first:
LadyM I trust your research and there's an android app so I would consider doing the Cronometer logging challenge with you, if you want a buddy.
Harmony and Rosie?: They got 3 months of rain in about 12 hours, about 10" in some places. So it was all from above, tides weren't involved. In the case of the diner, the Sackville River (usually a barely a creek most of the time) runs behind it, exiting into the Bedford Basin part of Halifax Harbour. Around the corner, the Bedford Place Mall has the river between it and the road, so is the "Mall with a Moat" as ds calls it, each entrance is a short bridge over the river. The mall itself didn't suffer much damage (except near one door where the roof/door let water in) but the parking lot was 5' under water and people in the mall were rescued by boat.
Dgs slept 11 hours again but was up for BBC (Bum change, bottle, cuddle, not in that order) at 1. He went right back to sleep.
He was pretty happy this morning and I took him home, arriving around 11. He whined when there was still 18 minutes of the drive left, crying "mama, mo, me me" which his parents don't know what it means either. I've heard it a lot when he's frustrated that I don't understand what he wants. I suspect he is still calling me mama and he has "me" down sometimes but I don't know what "mo" means.
Actually the words we both think we heard today came with sarcastic delivery - at 1:00 I was slow getting him changed, dh was holding the bottle, and dgs was reaching for it and whining. When it was passed to him, we both heard a sarcastic "thank you" from under the soother. And then when he finished his morning bottle and headed off our bed to the living room to play, I called out that he should drop the soother in the crib and we both heard, "yah yah" as he walked past his room to the living room, soother firmly in his mouth!
He didn't want me to leave him with his parents so I had to force him to walk to the house and he cried when I went back to the car to get his things. I stayed until he was down for his nap and chatted after with TG for a bit. Their trip to Wonderland yesterday was a success but exhausting. No kidding, it is over 4 hours from here. They left around 3 and got home at 1.
After I went to the train museum to pick up a toy that dgs6 wanted. Then had lunch from a chip wagon (that might have been a mistake) and then checked out a major toy store we pass on the highway (didn't find anything for the kids but have put the Brio Advent Calendar on my birthday list) and finally Costco.
By the time I was at the toy store I was feeling under the weather and dragged myself through Costco and home. Couldn't find my keys to get into the garage, but dh was on his way down with the wagon for the groceries so he met me in the parking lot and gave me his keys. Sure enough, my keys were on the hook in the closet. I had reached in for them, but grabbed my jacket with pockets instead and forgot to get the keys.
Dh had put away all the groceries and cuz I wasn't feeling well, he peeled a carrot for me to eat and I settled in the recliner with that and a mango/lemonade/seltzer drink with a fan on me. I had a very deep sleep so will likely not get to sleep early tonight but I feel quite a bit better. Dh was on his own for dinner, I just had a large salad with dgs' leftover chicken nuggets and a hard boiled egg. And more seltzer.
It was a late dinner due to my nap (I napped between 4:30 and almost 6) so I've just been catching up on social media.

Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
We are home and we are tired but it was a very good day.
The American Village is nice, but the replica buildings are just self-guided tours. There was an activity for the kids that took us to two buildings and an army campsite. Actors played the parts of British and American soldiers and citizens and we were supposed to be spies getting a message to General Washington. The actors were very good and dgrands had a lot of laughs during that adventure. It was almost too intense for Dgd, who said later, “I thought he was going to kill us!” (I don’t think she REALLY thought that, but her eyes were pretty big at one point, LOL!)
She also told me that the guns they trained with as “solders” weren’t real, they were just wooden; “we were just ‘atending” (pretending.)
We also met “Samuel Adams” and I think dgs especially enjoyed talking with him.
Waaay too much walking for dh though, who most last and waited for us.
Ddil did not go — sinus trouble plus an extra-early morning for her tomorrow.
All of us are bothered with sinus/ENT type issues. Chiropractor told ds that we are feeling effects from those wildfires in Canada — even this far south. Is that possible?
(((Kathryn))) — hope you feel better soon!

Re: Tuesday TA DA tally!
I usually use Cronometer to put in a recipe/meal once and then record somehow (printing is helpful or just knowing the date you put it in), so I'll know that meal in detail for future times. Have certainly done days, as well, but haven't gone long-term. The last time this helped me was when I had the appt with the dietician that my r doctor thought was a nutritionist. I was able to rattle off the protein of my breakfasts, for instance, even though I would normally pay little attention to that. Because I could do that, she was satisfied and willing to take time to discuss other things, at least a little, before we ran out of time.
My time just isn't there for consistent recording online. I keep it up in my planner, though, and have kept that up faithfully this year. Somewhat faithfully my circular habit tracker. Obviously, Cronometer has so much more info, many ways to reassure yourself that you are on track.
Today was recyclables and trash day. Also, kitty potty spiffing and cleaning of mud room. I'd told in The Decluttered Home that I've taken that room out of rotation for focus cleaning and given it a firm weekday (Tues) to make it more convenient to the firm date of the trucks that come at Wednesday dawn. It's an odd feeling for me to do that (every room has been in rotation and general focus weeks for years), but this will help the room most, I think.
HRH's dmother came today with a couple servings of salmon patties she'd made. She cooked a meal at her brother's house for his small family and deliberately made extra for us, which was very nice. I guess she had been helping out over there. Hmmm... .. HRH had better call his cousin and find out if everything is all right - those two siblings don't usually get along no matter how much one needs the other.
He had ordered one of those watches that displays your blood pressure and other stats. The first one that came wasn't the right one, so he ordered again. Rather than send the first back, which would be almost more trouble than it's worth, he gave it to his mother today, so that worked out fine.
Still haven't gotten my sleep cycle straight since the other night, but I'm better. I am trying to remember that I'm grateful to have a dh who is so clueless and sweet that he honestly thinks it's very loving of him to be there with me supportively while my sleep is disrupted ... .. by his tossing and turning. I suggest remedies gently, since it's all a trade-off and there's no perfect solution.
