(((Harmony)))

Sorry I disappeared. Yesterday was my first day I didn't have to be out of the apartment and didn't have people coming in.

I worked at the house blessing and got a lot done but am working slow because I'm tired. Yesterday was 4 loads of laundry, kitchen chores, watering the plants, buying new sheets online (that took well over an hour), and cleaning the bedrooms and living room. Plus putting away dgs2's toys and erasing his footprints. This morning I got the vacuuming and dusting done in the dining room and vacuumed the kitchen.

Today I was to have dgs but that changed so dh changed his library 3D printer booking time and I went to see Barbie with dd. Was surprised it turned out to be a mother-daughter movie so was glad I went with her.

Got back a bit late for dh's slot at the library because of heavy traffic. At 2:45 in the afternoon. Sigh.....

Now I'm useless. Still have to dust and vacuum the office and mop the kitchen floor but my knee is really bothering me right now so I've been sitting. Dh just texted he'll be quite late for dinner and suggested I have a snack. So I will.

We haven't had full a/c since Tuesday. Half the apartment is out so I'm blasting it on one side in order to keep the other side cool. That's working, sort of, but now the apartment is smelling 'off' so I think the humidity is getting high on the non-working side. I'll turn the air purifiers back on. The kitchen has no a/c and yesterday's cleaning included bleach, which was a mistake since I couldn't air out the room with open windows. So I moved in the air purifier and it worked really well.

I completely understand not leaving the house Kathryn.

I am also tired. I grilled chicken and brats at our lunch break to have something different to eat. I haven't been cooking, so no leftovers. I think I've about reached the point that I just can't absorb more. It's been described as like "trying to drink from a fire hose" because there's so much info being disbursed.

I walked the dog at the last break between 5:15 and 5:45.

I did go to the store and stocked up. Cooking was easy today since DH can't swallow much, so jello and half a can of soup. I had some leftovers. Everything is cleaned up and the few dishes I had are in the dishwasher. I'm using disposables as much as possible and those can be tossed.

I looked for aloe in the store and found a BIG thing of it, but it is hard to tell just how much aloe is actually in this big vat of something jelled. I think I'll get a plant instead. I did find some sort of super duper lip stuff for cracked lips and I bought it because the picture on the label looked just like mine. Bad. My hands are all cracked and sore now from all the washing. I have mild soap with vitamin E in it but still, my hands can't do this much soap and water. I think I'll try using the disposable gloves from now on and just throw them away. They are just the cheap flimsy ones and I have a lot of those. I think I'll treat myself to a glass of ice water this evening. I must really be needing water.

DH tells me he has never been this sick. He's choking on the goo that's coming up. I think some people don't get so many symptoms...

Oh, (((Harmony))) and (((Mr. Harmony))) -- I am so sorry y'all are having to deal with this! Especially with Mr. Harmony having such severe symptoms! As you said, lately it seems a lot of people have very few symptoms. I know you are stressed to the limit trying to steer clear of the germs and still help him out as much as needed.

I have been extra tired since our little trip Tuesday. It's mostly sinus/allergy trouble. Today the dgrands came over around 2:30 pm and they'll be here till around 9:00. DS & DDIL are playing music with a friend on a local tv station. They didn't leave till about 5:00, but they had been shopping for back-to-school clothes and "wanted to show us their new clothes." (Don't really know how much was dgrands' idea and how much was ds & ddil wanting a break!)
DH and I had been to get haircuts earlier and I was really wanting to just lie down for a while (and I did) but I was interrupted a lot by their noise of alternating loud play vs arguing.
Finally we went out to eat, and we stopped by my dmom's. She needed me to write out a few checks for her, and take care of some other paperwork, and she gave us a watermelon she had bought but decided she would never eat.
When we got back home, I used an ice cream scoop to do melon balls and took care of the watermelon. Now dgrands are playing again and I thought I'd try to check in.

The heat has to be part of the tiredness, don't you think, Twins? Actually for all of us! I think it is hot EVERYWHERE right now, and Kathryn & Cathy, I know the air quality there has to be affecting how you're feeling.
Glad to see your review of the Barbie movie, Kathryn! I've heard so many mixed opinions on it. Some saying it's not a children's movie -- but when we were leaving Oppenheimer, my cousin was leaving Barbie with her daughters ages 13 & 9, and neighbor's daughter, also 9. Three other girl cousins/cousins-in-law and my aunt were also there with them, so definitely multi-generational appeal. DDIL isn't sure she wants to take dgd8 though.

I bet that salsa is delicious, LadyM!!!

Of course the crisis was very mild. Hope no one was concerned about what was actually going on around here.
Mainly a tired little girl who wanted someone to play with her and a big brother who wanted to do his own thing by himself. Some snuggles, a game of scrabble with Nana and she was fine. (I have to help her figure out what words she can play, but I think it has to help with reading skills anyway.)

They are back home now and all is well here.
Tomorrow is another day.
