We've gone out for breakfast to somewhere local. On Sunday mornings they have a flea market next door to this restaurant. We checked that out before we came home.

I've done a load of laundry with another load waiting for the dishwasher to finish. Yesterday's load is all put away. Small loads are so much easier to put away.

I've also done numerous pots and pans from yesterday. I've been lazy with the kitchen and it shows. For whatever reason, I've forgotten to water the inside plants and my 3 orchids are all dropping their beautiful flowers, so they all got watered.

We are having BBQ tonight, with steak, zucchini, a sweet potato for dh and a regular potato for me.

Harmony...so sorry you and your husband aren't feeling well. Pay whatever bills need to be done and then forget the rest. It may take you a while to catch up, but right now you need to nurse yourself

Woke with a sinus headache which slowed me down. Took sinus meds and then later tylenol. Seems to have helped. Stripped the bed, remade it with clean sheets and now have put those sheets in the washer.

Made my almond flour/cheese muffins for the next few day and then picked up my footprints. Unloaded the dishwasher and put everything away and am about to get on my gazelle to get my steps in.

Harmony posted at 8:21 board time this a.m. - not sure what actual time it was because I've had my time wrong since DST changed over.

I haven't heard this is a "thing" with this virus, but I've suddenly gone brain dead and do not know how to start a Sunday thread! Yes, I've done it before....

Anyway, someone smarter than me can start us up for Sunday. I am up simply because someone around here has to do things. Someone has to open the blinds, make sure DH has his meds (he won't do it unless I give them to him or remind him) unload the dishwasher I ran last night, and make jello for today. Sigh...we need a nurse around here.

I told him he needed to do something to help himself and he's not doing that. Took a glass of salt water for him and told him to brush his teeth and gargle. I am off to do that next. Thank you for whoever suggested that yesterday.

So things are piling up around here. But I woke up with awful back and hip pain, worse than it has been, and now I have a sore throat also. Thought it seemed as if I was going to skip that, but I guess not. I have sorted the piles of paper on my desk...this is the end of the month when we get a lot of stuff. I have to do that big statement but I will try that this afternoon. I did pay 2 bills online, thankful for that. I am sipping a coffee. The warm fluid seems to help my throat, which is the reason I tried it. And I sure don't want to get a caffeine headache on top of this.

I appreciate the thoughtful comments the past couple days.

Poor DH, he's lost his nurse! I don't think he's happy.

Good morning. Dh, dMillie and I have walked three laps together, and dh is still out walking more "at his pace," which is much faster. So I have nearly 4K steps to start the week.

I slept well and was up around nine a.m. - it's a little cooler and less humid today so I didn't mind walking a little later.

I think we're going to see Oppenheimer today, we'll talk when dh is out of the shower.

Harmony, I do remember early on that brain fog was often mentioned in COVID symptoms. I'm reading that another wave of COVID is probably upon us. Glad I had my booster in the spring.

I didn't do much at all yesterday so today I need to be moving!

Twins...Sweetie walks much faster than me which is why I don't walk with him at night...he walks 2 miles. I would have to run just to stay up with him because he has no intentions of slowing down for me

Lady M, a (belated) heartfelt Happy 50th Anniversary to you & your dh. What a wonderful milestone.

Nancy, thank you again for the song info. I found a vendor for the sheet music & it is in my Am azon cart (waiting until I have enough in cart to qualify for free shipping before placing order). So happy to be able to get this, & especially happy that the song title mystery is solved after looking for it for so long .

Today & tomorrow are a bonus 6th week in terms of Zones. I'm using them to play catch up. Today I should be able to finish one project that I've been chipping away at since last week -- going through late dmil 3x5 recipe box. It's much longer than a shoebox & when I first opened it I felt a bit overwhelmed at how much was in there & shut the lid! Opened it back up & thought about how this was a lifetime's worth of her favorite recipes. Pulled out a handful or two each afternoon & have really enjoyed going through them. Some had notes if they were good, & many were from her friends. It was sometimes hard to decipher handwriting but I found some real gems that I want to try. Found a few recipes that were from her mother including pound cake which dh loves. It will be fun to make one & tell dh it is his grandmother's recipe. I also found the recipes she used to make for us often including a real favorite of dh, so happy about that. Was also able to sort through the last big bag of her photographs which were mostly nature, house & pet pictures.

I'm off to cuop for the last week. Feel like a broken record telling you that I'm behind reading daily posts but I don't like not acknowledging things going on in your lives. So from now on, know that I'm talking to all of you in my head as I read, even if the words don't make it here .

After that will make macaroni salad. My dh is a bottomless pit when it comes to mac salad & eats some with his lunch most days.

RR, dh gets almost surly about it, asking why I can't walk a little faster. It's in part because his legs are longer, but I just can't walk at his pace. Honestly, and I don't tell him this, I'd rather walk alone and with dog. He walks ahead because he forgets and he and ddog crowd me off the sidewalk.

The kitchen is cleaned up for the most part. I'm working on my OMM list for the week. I've carried over a lot from last week because I was in class so much. I still need to shower. We're going to the 3 p.m. movie.

I could never implement zones, Dove. Don't know how many times I fell of the wagon.

What are your plans for the day?
Painting first. Did that I have the next color on the crates I have mixed up a color I call tangerine peach just for fun.
Those are on the deck and I shifted around other crates and pulled out the ones that did not turn out well to
do another coat of yellow on the outside of them later. That is drying now yea!
I am thinking they will work in the shed or basement.
The dimensions are the same but this one is made differently and weighs a bit more and that is not desirable when it is loaded with items.

I walked ddog around the block was all I could do today.
Sipping cranberry juice had my vits. & breakfast.
I moved the lawn chairs as I was not using them and put two on the patio to hold painting drop clothes so I do not have to put em on the concrete.
Now I can water that garden area.
I pulled up a tomato that kept having fruit with bad ends. arugh!

Home from small groups and church. I enjoyed every moment of it.

I am continuing with making ingredients and then letting everyone decide what & when to eat. This has been a huge hit with the family. Today I sauteed 2lb of shrimp, made some cheese dip, and then decided to sauté some onions & peppers. We have quite an unconventional collection of ready-to-eat food that can be taken in dozens of directions to create a meal. I'm fascinated watching the kids as they learn to combine foods and their enjoyment of their creative efforts.
