I've walked the dog three laps - one with a neighbor that I love to catch up with - and I had the garbage out when the truck came through early.

Dh is seeing an endocrinologist this a.m. - he's had increasing trouble with his blood sugar and with part of the pancreas missing felt it was time to step up his management.

I have a workout at 2, and perhaps the Zoom meeting that is every Tuesday evening. We've been more sporadic over the summer, plus three of us have met our original goal. And dh is bowling tonight too. We have left over grilled chicken and grilled pork chop so neither of us will starve.

We've been to the landfill. Old heavy duty plastic wheelbarrow is now gone. Dh took off the tire and the metal frame and the wooden handles. We also went and got a huge bag of bird food and then we stopped for more zero cola for dh.

Supper will be corn and BBQed pork chops.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Good morning!

IIRC, you're not near Memphis, are you, Twins? Such scary news. I hope all goes well at the Dr. for your DH.

Sounds like the only part of the wheelbarrow that went to the landfill was that that couldn't be recycled otherwise, Cathy. Good on you and your DH!

Trying to get myself out of vacation mode. I just got through with a work meeting. I'm going to have two projects going on at once: one, proofreading some lessons, and two, adding safety information to some documents. (They went through their safety videos and want to make sure all the info in the videos is also covered in print.) I may have to see if I can resurrect the app(s) I used to keep track of multiple projects when I was truly freelancing. Those will have to be on my computer, though, not the work computer.

I've spent an hour working, and I want to curl up in my comfy chair. I have been dozing off, then staying up too late when it's time to go to bed. So now I'm dragging, and I want to doze off again. I had some tea, but it did nothing to wake me and instead went straight to my guts. Anyone have any suggestions for waking up? I really want to doze off again.

yes it does keep rolling on! I am gobsmacked at the pace this year has gone! There are valley's and mountains (lol I think the valleys would be better for me bc I get mountain sickness  (first time in my life was a couple years ago) I always wondered why the valleys were used as a bad thing - they are usually lush where the mountains tops are not conducive to staying there. We are not supposed to get stuck in one spot Maybe that's it. You can't stay on the high's or the lows - it's the moment and knowing that you won't be in one spot for long even though it feels like it at times. Both give you something to be grateful for- learning and lessons and enjoying all the moments in between - being grateful and appreciative of the souls we meet along the way. There you go! That was a philosophical moment! 8-) I know - corny but there you go :D :D :D

hello d mystery!!!
hello d cathy!!!
hello d twins!!! praying for your dh!
hello d everyone!

have a good day!
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Good morning ladies.
It is good to see bw2 posting.

I have been up on time.
QT & journal / planning done.
I walked a regular length one with ddog we stopped often as I needed but made it that whole way yea!
I need to paint at least one end of the ODK cupboard.

I was discouraged that dd was not here long and none of the things we talked about doing got done sigh.
Had to process that she was just here long enough to look at the progress and pick up dgd.
And comment on something not done in the front that I was not up to b/c of my back and I'd done it
earlier but needs done again.
Talked to a 90 yo woman in her yard with the best garden makes me have hope again!
I have gotten the 2nd coat of grey on the out door kitchen cupboard except for a bit of trim
I will have to crawl around on the concrete for that I need to have my back better and more limber for that bit.

Waving!

Hi, back at blessed - you were mentioned yesterday.

And Harmony, I thought of you and the admonitions you received yesterday when I posted in The Decluttered Home our monthly thread today. "Light" chores, please!

I had a full card (5x5, plus, let's say) of needed chores today.

So fars,
Bday card
Return call to Dr.
Return call to (another) Dr.
and posting some monthly threads

Up nexts,
household bills
trash/recyclables

(Of course, by now:)

But firsts,
Put away groceries (HRH brought home by surprise) - check
Pick dd43 and DangerBoy up for car repair place/dentist
lunch

and Rant, skippable
WHY do I have to do other people's jobs for them! Second call to second dr's office and it was the same nurse I talked to Thurs, who KNEW AT THAT TIME what was needed, but this morning had completely forgotten me, to the point of being a little irritated, I think! I chose my words carefully and with measure. But good grief. HRH said, do they not make notes on things so they will know what they did last week.

Waving at bw2! So glad to have your cheerful self here!

I felt off this morning after walking so ended up sleeping maybe 1.5 hrs. Don't know what caused it. I need to get ready to go workout now, need to leave in about 25 minutes.

The Swig Life company is replacing my 32 oz tumbler! I'm thrilled, and I got to choose a new pattern because that was discontinued. They asked how long it was holding cold - I experiemented yesterday and filled it with ice and topped with water at 3:30, and there was no longer ice before 9:30. It's supposed to keep drinks cold much longer.

hello harriet!!! yay on your "so far's" cheering you on through your "up nexts"
