Good morning, Twins!
We have a sunny day ahead also, but we’re all kinda dragging.
Getting ready for church. Grandparents Day, and the children are singing, plus dgs is playing the prelude as a duet with his piano teacher, and he’s reading the scripture.
Dmom probably not coming; she is having stomach issues again.

Hope you all have a great day!
Tomorrow is another day.

I've journaled had breakfast and figured out the jeans I need to let go of the first 3 to go are moved to the spare room more to decide on again sigh...
Then I'll fold and stack em for later figuring out if I could cut em up for the fabric or donate them. TBA.
Half done with current knitting project a drum roll... dish cloth!
Woke up with a great idea I can put sunflowers and bulbs where that tree was & I can dig out more herbs on borders for more of that too!
I have a new devo. I can begin when I am done reading my current book on prayer will be done this week with that.
I need to decide on a bujo as well I know I have one here or pages that are plain for my art and doing the way I like it.

Hi!

I will have to imagine the sunshine. Very overcast, with ominous looking clouds forming a dark shelf above us here.

We went out for breakfast and there was rain starting when we drove home, but then it stopped. Dh put gas in the lawn tractor, but said we could cut the grass some other time.

I took advantage of the lack of heat and lack of flies to do an inventory of the chest freezer. I emptied it all out onto a work table, smacked the large pieces of frost/ice off the sides, took a long handled, clean dustpan and scooped up the ice and threw it onto the driveway. Put all the frozen meat back in and nothing even started to defrost by the time I had the job done. It took less than 30 minutes. MOST ice/frost stuff was removed other than a thin coating in spots. There was some left on the bottom as well. Now we have 4 bags holding categories. Beef/chicken/pork/turkey pieces. All of the sausages are in a basket that came with the freezer. The other basket has 3 steaks in it and a piece of salmon and 2 packages of beef liver. I did a quick count of the inventory list and there is enough meat for approximately 59 meals. I told dh that if he brought home any more meat when he went grocery shopping by himself that I would hit him over the head with it. He couldn't believe how much we had. He told me he almost bought some pork chops the other day. I told him we have 7 packs of pork chops. We also have enough veggies to do for all those meals.

We haven't decided what we want tonight.

Although, I'm in tizzy right now. Got up earlier to dog wanting a walk (barking), dd calling to vent about job, and then dh wanting to tell me what I should do about it all. He's left for awhile for some "fresh air" while I have my brunch.

I'm still feeling discomfort in my mouth - left side - trigeminal neuralgia back. Will need to ck with doc tomorrow.

Above was from earlier....I've s2s-ed and dh is still out. I'm just feeling low today. I feel like everyone is dumping on me (dog, dd, and dh._

Happy Birthday Kathryn!
I hope your new year is filled with many treasured moments and memories.

I'm home from church. There was a high attendance today and I got to meet several new people including a 6 month old baby for the nursery. Motley is a cutie! I enjoyed sitting next to DH during worship service and listening to the sermon together. DH did the communion, offering and prayer parts of todays service so he was up and down from the stage several times.

Lunch is chicken nuggets, roasted russett potatoes and sweet potatoes, and many roasted peppers. I have the 4th load of food in the air fryer today. It makes roasting vegetables so easy to load and walk away.

Our Echo Show was humming when we got home from church. I unplugged it and am letting it sit until I have time to troubleshot it. I just looked at when it was purchased, and it was in 2017. It is a first generation but has held up well and has been very reliable....until now. This screened device sits on our kitchen counter and is used many times a day. It is a key device to keeping our home organized and running well.

DS15 is finished with eating so I need to return him to driving school class.

Happy Birthday Kathryn!!

I've cut the grass. Just as I was walking back into the house, the guy that cuts the ditch and does other weed whacking around the fences, etc., was pulling into the driveway.

I have decided on steak for supper. As dh said, if I cook it, he'll eat it. He surprised me by getting some dishes done while I cut the grass. I'm very happy about that.

I need to go up to the fairgrounds around 4 to pick up the stuff from our craft guild. One of our ladies, who is 91, won 4 first prizes and one second prize and she got a "Best in show" rosette for a beautiful blue and white sweater.

I'm home from taking DS15 to his class. I am thankful he is paying attention in class and learning. However, I could do without his repeated comments on my driving. On the positive side, it does make me more aware & therefore maybe a better driver. I strive to not break any law, so he has nothing to comment about.

On the way home I stopped by the car wash we used to own, and hand washed the SUV.

I started the prep for Wednesday night meal. This will be the first time I have prepared this menu and I have many unknowns. I will be cooking baked potato bar for 125 people. I did the easy prep this morning by taking about 10lbs of pulled pork & 5 gallons of smoked beans out of the freezer to start thawing. I need to write a list of foods I'm preparing and details about prep needed and times to start.

I might have an addiction to roasted vegetables. I just started another sheet pan of vegetables to roast. We ate all the ones I roasted earlier. The fresh garden vegetables were laying on the counter with the air fryer nearby. It was just too easy, and I didn't attempt to resist. Can you O.D. on roasted vegetables? Asking for a friend.....

I don't know what caused the Echo Show to mess up earlier today. It is working fine now. However, the thought of being without it wasn't something I wanted to deal with. I would have to put many different procedures in place to replace the ones we do now. I found a used 1st Gen Show for 10% of what I paid for this 6-year-old one. I ordered it to have on hand if this one goes bonkers. I am already planning how I will use them both if they will continue to work.

Back from church I enjoyed the singing today.
Did not enjoy one persons over use of perfume & move away from that area.
Good message as well and communion was different instead of passing it out they had a station set up for individuals & family groups. I like that.
They were asking if I was coming back to small group, not right now was my response. Attendance seemed small but the room is very large so it appears different.

I was going to take myself out for lunch & use my bday coupon but I'd left it home so I'll do that later. I did put the coupon in my purse.
I had lunch remembered something fast I could do in the freezer.

On my walk with ddoggo this morning a german shepherd got out of their yard and went after us luckily I'd picked up a stick and was able to keep the dog back it want after my dog half that size of that one, she is okay but it really got our heart going I yelled very loudly for them to come get there dog, they did and I told them again the needed to fix that fence he said in a week they had a new one coming I said they needed to secure it before that. House on the next block over and on the corner I go by it a lot, if they do not I will call the county sheriff I a'm praying about that. They had a cattle panel up and it was not secured well enough so something needs to change. I am just thankful I did not have a toddler with me on my walk today!

Needless to I had to come home and calm down before heading out ...
