well I got up a half hour earlier - I am moving my alarm back to get back into getting up at 5:30 or 6:00 at the least. I have been getting up at 4 and going back to sleep to 9:00 - 9:30 am definitely not me! I don't like it one bit. (do you hear the stamp of my feet). I will get there.
I am sure it's from when I was in a wheel chair and I couldn't do anything outside until I knew everyone was awake or around.

I am loving my card file simplified and set up again. I feel like my ADHD is under control!

Another day, another note from a resident about an ambulance.

We have a really considerate neighbour who smokes, going out to the street corner a dozen times a day to smoke (theoretically we are a non-smoking building but longer-term residents are grandfathered-in and newer resident 'cheat' and smoke at home cuz they figure it can't be confirmed they are, so this guy is really wonderful to go out in all weather and not mess up our homes.) He had to call the ambulance for another resident today, a jogger who got dizzy and slumped against a light post before collapsing on the sidewalk.

Sigh....

Anyway, he texted me to let me know since he figured I knew the guy. I did.

After I set out some dark pants and a dark top with a collar and without grease/oil stains and no advertising on it for dh, he decided he wasn't going. I had already let knitting group know I wouldn't be there this morning.

Seeing as I was home and we had nothing to do, we went to 2 large furniture stores that both had sales this past weekend. We found a couch/sofa/chesterfield that had attached cushions that wouldn't need to be adjusted every. single. day. Price with tax and delivery was less than $2000, which we thought was a good deal. It will be delivered on Thursday. The colour is "charcoal grey" so cat fur shouldn't show up too badly.

Supper is surf and turf with a twist. The surf will be a small filet of salmon and the turf will be home made hamburgers.

Ugh, changed his mind after you cancelled going to knitting group, Cathy?

Dh came home to eat an early lunch because his blood sugar had dropped. He's standing in the kitchen playing on his phone. I finished that round, then refilled all my meds. I also brought in the second of those lanterns and cleaned it up. I still need to polish them if I'm going to. They are black and dry to a matt finish and look better with a little oil applied to them so they're shiny -ish.

This time:
-clean third lantern
-start load of our towels in washer
-straighten mbr - may decide to do some stash and dash
-water outside plants
-spend 10 min on garage freezer, wiping out with alcohol as needed

Busy morning here …

Went to class, came home and had my second cup of coffee. Then I went shopping in my closet.

My trip is in 10 days and the weather in NJ is predicted to be 80*! Beyond weird for this time of the year.

Anyway I had to rethink what I was planning to pack. I have 5 days of day and night time activities so I just put together a few things I could interchange. Laid everything out on my bed to make sure I liked my selections and now it’s done.

I was happy working in my closet because I have several containers stacked on my top shelve that I sometimes struggle with getting them down. However I didn’t have any problems getting them down or putting them back up. Saturday and yesterday I had no energy and just sat around the house. I did vacuum the major part of my house on Saturday and by the time I was finished I was exhausted. And my heart rate spiked during this time.

However I had no problems with my heart rate which ran normal while doing my exercise class today and I feel like myself. Go figure.

I have some desk things I need to attend to. Someone tried to use my credit card and the bank caught it. So they cancelled that card and am sending me a new one. Only problem is it’s the card I use for everything so I’m sure when renewals come up like HBO it’s gonna causes some problems.

It’s also the card I use when I travel. I have others cards but need to call the bank today to see what’s going on.

Happy birthday a bit late Kathryn

Nancy … I had it easy when my dogs needed a bath. All I had to say to either one is… you want a bath? And they would jump in the tub waiting for me by the time I got that.

LadyM … sometimes you just need to sit down and let the world spin for a few minutes.

Harmony… when can I expect cooler weather… Jan or Feb

Our temperatures are about 20F degrees below last week. I gave DD12 permission to wear a hoodie. She has some new hoodies that she has been eagerly awaiting wearing them. She would have worn them in triple digit heat if I had let her. I'm loving these cooler temps.

Gym and music studio have been accomplished. DS15 is working on his homeschool assignments now. We have 2 hours before leaving for the next appointment.

I have started the prep for tomorrow's meal with DFriends. I've signed up to take black-eyed peas. I have put the peas on to soak for a few hours and will cook them later today. I like a long cooking time so will put them in the refrigerator later and then finish cooking tomorrow morning.

While in the city with DS15 appt I need to pick up the items still needed for Wednesday meal. My biggest concern is finding 125 russet potatoes. Sam's potatoes are too big (IMHO) and I only want to use #1 because they have less defects and are more even shaped in general. I'm not sure I can get that many #1 potatoes at our local grocery store. I need to start a list.

I had to stop for a lunch break. It hasn't been that long since brunch, but it was time. I've done part of the third lantern and all except MBR. I'm just drawing a blank with what to do with some stuff. I may need to break it down into small "bites." I might substitute clearing some items from the stack in my box instead and think on that task.

Dh went back to work awhile ago. DDog is outside. I might be running out of energy and needing some easy things to do....

Happy birthday, Kathryn. And Happy birthday to HRH.

Things have been somewhat disorganized, or maybe just out of sorts, for most of us here in my household. Our a/c has been out of order for at least a month now. No one is sleeping well with temps hovering around 98 to 100* + in the daytime and only down to the high 70s/low 80s at night. We have a window unit in the living room; dgrdaughter and dh bought one for their room and finally dson bought one for their room. By this time temps were forecast to be down into the low 90s upper 80s this week, which is why I didn't get one for my room. Ddil's dmom slept downstairs for a few nights. We've had rain the past few days and evenings, thankfully. Ddil's ddad is retiring sometime in October, moving, and will come here on his way to Kentucky to help dson replace the whole a/c system. We can't wait!!

Dgrd's dh has started classes at Germana College full time. I think he's studying for the physical therapy program.

Dgrdaughter is still working three days (nights) a week. She's feeling better but still has stomach upsets occasionally. Ddil is planning a baby shower for her early next month.p

Dgrdaughter's dh had his weekend duty over the last weekend and she went with him. They came home late last night. Dson and ddil took a mini vacation down at Virginia Beach for the long weekend; they just arrived home a few minutes ago.

Dgrson took a short day trip last week with a couple of his buddies and on the way home his truck broke down on I 95. Something about the engine freezing up. So he came over to borrow his dad's Dodge Nitro. Who knows how long it will take for him to fix his truck??

My bible study zoom class started last Friday. Our Mahjongg group meets on Fridays at the same time, so I had to miss the first half hour of game time. Those nice ladies decided to change the start time from 10:30 to 11 00 a m. so I would only miss a few minutes.

One day last week there were no cars in the driveway, so I was able to get out of the house to go shopping. It was almost a month since the last time I was out by myself. I was able to stock up on my vitamins and I got a few things we needed for the kitchen and house. It might be a little while again till I can make another trip out.

I watched some of the news programs that had ceremonies for Patriots Day/9-11 this morning. I've done my small abbreviated list of dailies, so it's time for some lunch and a little bit of sewing. Take care everyone; I'm slowly getting caught up on posts I've missed.
