Hi!

I've been up since 4 a.m.

I put a load of dishes into the dishwasher and turned it on.
I started putting away stuff from the dish rack so I would have room for more stuff. Then I did some large dishes, pots and pans.
There is now a load of clothes being washed.

It's another day with no wind here. I've been trying to burn a massive stump in the fire pit by piling stuff around it every time I have a fire out there. It finally finished getting all burned up yesterday. I might get out there and burn more wood today.

No idea what is for supper tonight.

We tried to turn on the boiler this morning because it was rather cold in the house. This is a new boiler. It didn't turn on. Dh called the company and they are coming tomorrow morning between 8 and 12.

Cathy - Thanks for the start today. I agree with all the suggested S words.

Happy Rosh Hashanah!

I'm enjoying a slower paced start today. The calendar doesn't have anything on it so the day is mine to use as I wish.

The first 2 of 14 hourly steps goals have been met. Those hourly step goals can be a frustration sometimes, but they are good to keep me from losing track of time. I have an hourly alarm that is set 10 minutes before the top of the hour so I can get the steps done if they aren't already accomplished. I have low expectations and am content with my effort to get the bare amount (250 steps) and then return to what I was doing.

The declutter mood has arrived here. Yesterday everything was taken out of a built-in double shelf hall cabinet and 98% of it was put in the bag to take to our favorite charity. I didn't remember those items were there so deciding to get them out of the house was easy. It also gave me dopamine hits of feel-good accomplishments.

DS15 has left for work. DD12 went out to eat breakfast with DD46.

Next up -
** Wash, slice and roast vegetables
** Top of desk - clear, declutter, and organize
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.
When life gets difficult, learn to sing & dance in the rain.

Joining in the happy wishes of the day! as blessed said, "a sweet year".

((lucylee and dmother))

I had a very grateful moment today when I found the one and only quiltmaking project that had been lost when the grandboys and I transported all over here as we moved. I'm also relieved because it is so valuable to me, with all my own drafted patterns, not to mention tedious small-scale sewing. Posted about this in A, C and N thread that it's ironic to have found it today, when I had just started considering a completely different large project.

Aw, disappointed I missed Fairy Friday. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have a round of visiting each other's homes with our wands and tiaras and crinolines, and we'd laugh and laugh and never criticize at all.

Fairies and Gnomes - Nancy, my dd43 is one who likes gnomes. She has a new one at the corner of her house at the walkway, all green. She says "he" is mossy, lol. Both my girls like yard art, actually. Dd25 likes chickens. Dd43 also has dinosaurs for the boys (not big!).

Survive Definitely.

Success and sleep would be lovely.

I somehow lost this morning after waking up earlier than my midnight lights-out would have suggested and had energy. It was sapped by 11, though.

I got out for my walk at 12:30, heading to the stores to buy the stuff to assemble sandwiches for tomorrow's church luncheon. What it the world was I thinking when I agreed to bring a loaf? Anyway, dh said he was going out later to the cheaper store so will get the cheese that I didn't get at the 2 stores I went to. At least I got bread and ham and my walk is done.

I have 5 minutes until my next event which will last 5 hours. Sigh....

Dh just came in to have me pull up the calendar and prove we had 10 days with nothing (if you count the AGM for the residents' group as 'nothing' in the week before the wedding, house guests, and then he goes away leaving me caring for dgs2 on my own for almost a week) and suggest we sing for the seniors. I finally summoned up a NO. Sure I could take 3/4 of a day to do that but I can't take the hours to come up with a set of music and at least 7 hours of practicing. I'm sitting here feeling overwhelmed and he's proposing another 20 hours of my time to be sucked up. He can do it on his own, just not with me.

Hello
dd older is going to go with family for October fest but I still have not been feeling my usual self and my ankles keep laughing at me.
right now I am making an individual serving of tomato soup as I had some tomatoes that needed using. (and fast).
emptied dw from yesterday and refilled it (even though not completely full) I turned it on again - I like to wash the dogs/cats dishes (after rinsing) in the dw.

went through the mail
recycling put away
trained the dogs for a bit
played with them after
exercised

dd older set up dh's new computer and he is so so happy!

I am considering bringing up the fall decorating.
