The "5 minute until we leave" alarm just went off. I'm waiting for DD12 to finish getting ready for school.

PODA -
** DD12 to/from school
** DS15 homeschool
** DH is helping a DFriend work his cattle herd today. The vet arrives at 12:30
** Gym with DS15. We all missed going to the gym yesterday because events kept happening here. Going to the gym needs to be a higher priority and not allowed to be pushed aside with other at the moment things. Getting everyone ready and focused on gym at the same time sometimes feels like herding cats.

Planning -
** 2016 tax papers. Another plastic container of paper. What will I find inside?
**

Cooking -
** Roasting sweet potatoes and maybe a pan of russet potatoes.
** Beef Fajatias. The garden is providing a large number of peppers that need to be used.
** Mac and cheese

My ~~~ TRENDING ~~~ surprised ds today, as he found me well away on a longer than usual walk. He rolled the window down and let dgdC excitedly tell me about "Wacky Day" at school today. She has one half of her hair in a pigtail, and the other down. Wacky tie-dye knee-hi socks. I asked what the best part of the day will be, and she said "P.E."! lol So glad that she is such a confident kid. She is definitely worth stopping the walk to chat.

He never came back by, so I guess his morning schedule is to take her on his way to work now, and ddil takes her big brother to middle school later. I wonder how that cuts into her work schedule and if I should volunteer to help more? Hmmm... ..

Waiting on the stove to cool down as HRH made a big breakfast. I have a recipe that needs a lot of space around the stove for cutting up veg.

Already started on Tuesday Mudroom focus this morning. Recyclables need attention next. I need HRH to walk around this house with me and decide to toss some boxes! Yes, we should keep some long enough to make sure we're not going to have to send something back. Otherwise, we're keeping way too much and I need the space.

Harriet - What a fun walk!

RR - I hope you have a great trip and make lots of treasured memories.

TaDA's -
** Sweet potatoes have been roasted, cooled and packaged for future meals.
** Russet potatoes are on their 2nd roasting (roast, flip over, roast).
** Rabbits have been cared for. Food, water and all cages moved to a fresh patch of grass.

Next up -
** Peek into the 2016 box. ...sometimes with dreaded projects I need to break them down into teeny-tiny steps to get me started.
** Declutter the items inside the piano bench. I haven't looked inside that bench in many many moons. Whatever is inside is never used so I'm assuming everything can be decluttered.

Hi!

Waiting for service man to show up with the new thermostat. Currently on the phone waiting to get off hold music. Yes, my call is important to them... cue cheesy music... yawn... They will email the technician and get back to me to set up an appointment.

No idea what is for supper.

I was up shortly after 7:30 but am getting a slooooow start, which is fine with me today. I walked the ddog two laps, dh came back through for his shower after his workout and I've been lollygagging about. My trainer said her mother calls it fiddle-f@rting around.

I need to make my healthy breakfast. Today's task is HOA checks, I think I have at least three to do.

And....I'm even later because I talked to dd for 30 minutes - or listened to her for 30 min?

I still feel exhausted. Yesterday afternoon after body work the dog expected another walk and wouldn't stop barking and dd called venting and afterwards I could barely even talk to dh. I ended up walking the dog again while talking/listening to dd. My back/hip may be a bit better. I'm working out at 2 p.m. today too.

Dh bowls tonight so no prepared dinner here.

Cathy - I hope the thermostat replacement goes smoothly.

TaDa=
** the 2016 & 2017 plastic tub of papers have been sorted and dealt with. I went down a rabbit hole with some papers I found giving details when DS15 was tested by multiple professionals for educational placement and also mental assessment. I found it interesting to read their many recommendations and realize we have been following most of them over the years.
** I raised the lid to the piano bench. I had to walk away because it felt overwhelming. More papers. Ugh.

Good morning! “Slower than molasses in January” does not begin to describe how slowly I’m moving this morning. It took me an hour and a half to pry myself out of bed and another hour for breakfast. I have gotten my pill box filled for the week (should have done Sunday night), supervised DC in the frying of an egg  (did not know how to tell if the yolk was cooked enough; I did my best guess, but as I do not like my yolks the least bit runny, it was no surprise that it ended up harder than DC would have liked). Also helped DC plan how to get to the college by bus. Apparently the bus schedules have changed for the better, and they will have only a 15-minute layover between buses, not the 45 minutes that kept them from using it regularly before. OTOH, it might be 45 minutes on the return trip; we didn’t look at that. They are hoping a friend will give them a ride home. My car won’t get seen by the mechanic until tomorrow, and DH is out with the guys tonight.

At any rate, once DC finally finishes in the shower (you’d think the hot water tank would have run dry already), I will start wash.

I love hearing stories of the little community your family is, Harriet. To just run into family when you are out and about. We are too scattered here for that to happen. I did run into a cousin at the botanical garden this spring and found out that he’s either divorced or heading for one, as I didn’t know the woman with him!
