I went to a lot of different places to get everything I wanted/needed. I also got gas while I was out seeing as I was in the same parking lot and I had less than 100 km before "Empty". I was able to find liquid pectin at my second stop, and I got sugar on sale.

It's a gorgeous day outside. I might go read on the hammock before I need to take it down for the winter.

In this set of books, Preston and Child have a main character named "Pendergast" and he is an FBI agent who happens to get every case solved, even when he gets shot, or has to go to the hospital and he travels all over the world to catch the bad guys. He's extremely rich and is somewhat eccentric.

Hello everybody. It sounds like y'all are getting ready for our change in seasons and winter / holidays coming. I will look at my wreaths today. I have a nice fall one I made for the front door. I didn't bother with it last year but I'm encouraged to do it now.

I seem to always be writing something somewhere for something these days. This morning it was updating my medical file for DH's dentist appointment yesterday and writing his appointments on the calendar and making a little appointment card for the bulletin board with his dates on it. She did not give me one for those. Doing all the calendar thing takes it off my mind and I'm not continually worrying about it. DH has lab work tomorrow and I got his lab order paper down from the bulletin board for him to take to the lab. He wants me to go through his wallet and make sure he still has his insurance cards. He seems to do less and less for himself all the time these days.

Updated my checkbook register. I made a spreadsheet years ago and I handwrite stuff on there to keep a balance. I keep it all in a slim 3-ring notebook. I know people don't do this any more...they just use the figures online... but I started this years ago before I was even signed up for online and just never stopped. I keep some every month in the escrow column to save up for insurances and house taxes. That way when the bills come in I don't have a heart attack! I was $400+ off and had to go back and do figures again till I found my mistake. Don't know how I get it wrong, as I use the desk calculator. Think it's my eyesight which isn't as sharp as it was before.

Spent about an hour chatting with DH about our status regarding Money, where to live, the grandkids, etc. We have these conversations a lot. He always forgets how we are doing re: money and surprised when I tell him again. This time we discussed the business account and when and how to close that. The actual work of doing anything about all this he leaves up to me. It's a lot of responsibility, but I'm grateful I can do it.

LadyM, are they working on your Grid? I think there is electric problems on the church down the street. For 2 days there have been work trucks there and no cars / people at their school/day care. It's oddly quiet. It must be just them, we're fine here.

I got to grocery and stocked up, it was a big trip refilling the refrigerator. I've pulled leftovers out of the refrigerator that don't need to be in the house and will dispose of them in the compost bucket. I don't know why a lot of it was saved because it's not stuff that we eat.

I really feel worn out today; I might nap now.

Yesterday I did not finish the HOA reconciliation. I've made a mess and need to circle back to it and deal with those papers. Also need to record and reconcile the cemetery account, although there it's just a spreadsheet to manage.

I really can't get my act together today. I'll need to hit it later - dh is bringing someone home for drinks on the porch, and said that perhaps we'll order food out to pick up. So I'll need to shower and pull things together at some point, at least in public areas of the house.

I have a fall wreath on the front door and changed out the pillows on the porch for fall. I have them in garage bins and rotate. I do have some other things I need to pull out - just didn't have time last week and didn't need more on my list. I found a bird feather yesterday - fairly large - and stuck in it artificial orchids in a basket by the front door.

I am back from our walk and have been tweaking the decor in the living room.
It is helping to get stuff off the table and that is an improvement.
I think that it is time to think about putting the fans away according to our temps. today anyway.
I've had some of my lunch for today.

Dusted some and need to do some more.
Glad I walked when I did.
The living room is looking better now & some progress in the dining room too.
Got the living room vacuumed between episodes of a show I paused it for that task.
It is good to have one room looking great now.
It rained just a bit.
Waving to every one and hope your day is going well.

Another early morning walk. Saw my neighbor, who waved hugely from his beat-up pickup truck and hollered out a "hello" - he's a nice guy. Noticed he had on big old earphones... ..? rather than earbuds, or other audio items from this millennium. He is independently wealthy, btw. Oh well, eccentric is so much fun, it's hard to give it up.

Brunch was super healthy, but I made biscuits for late lunch with tomato slices and enjoyed my new peach jam.

Found a youtube that explains the construction of the border I want to put on the wedding quilt. Somewhat cart-before-the-horse, yes, but I can have many sleeps on that so it will become confident, even if learning the rest strains my brain in between, lol. I still decided to WRITE IT in the notes section of this week's planner pages, including the minute in the video that this one's instructions start. I should probably get myself a little notebook or something to record all notes as I go, but I haven't gotten overwhelmed enough yet. :) No need to rush it.

I may have napped. I was stationary, at least for awhile. I'm going to clean up the kitchen counters.

After I was here last I put on a video and she was talking about paper declutter. I thought to myself, oh while I listen I can go through the stuffed 2-drawer file cabinet and get rid of some things and organize. So I have been here doing that all this time and I did all but 1 folder at the very back. I ran out of steam. I'm anxious to get rid of things no longer needed. In another 11 months I will be ok to do a huge purge of papers. I'm anxious to do this and feel like I'm holding myself back to not get ahead of it.

I'll put in our declutter thread what I did, but right now beside me is 1/2 of a tall kitchen garbage bag stuffed and heavy with discarded papers. I tried not to be just churning stuff from one space to another, though I did organize nicely the things I kept.

Now I'll go get that wreath on the door.

Good job decluttering, Harmony.

Mostly decluttering through the evening here, too. Just looked at my step count, though, and it's way down when I stay in one room, such as declutter or cooking, for a lot of the day. Can't have everything. When one chore/activity is going right, often another is not up to par.

We went over to dstepson's this afternoon and enjoyed looking at his yard. He has become so yard-proud, lol. He and I picked Sweet 100 variety tiny tomatoes and enjoyed snacking on them. They hang down into his fenced garden enclosure. They are the last tomatoes still producing for him.

Hoping lucylee's dmother is feeling well.

Hi to Dove. Take care of that back!
