Re: WE Get it Done Wednesday PWYC
Hi!
Thank you for starting us out today Twins' Mom!
I just finished hanging up the clean clothes.
Dh just had a car dropped off on our driveway from a tow truck. The customer thinks it might be the brakes. At least it gives him something to do, even though he says he's done with work, he still wants to do something other than watch tv and play games on the computer and on his phone.
It's another gorgeous day here.
Supper tonight will be BBQed hamburgers. I think I will make a foil package of potatoes and onions. I really need to get another bag of russets.

Re: WE Get it Done Wednesday PWYC
My trip to pick dd25 up from dealership was successful, although people sure do expect you to save their lives out there these days.
Commuter traffic, good gracious. She hopes to hear that we can pick her car up this evening, but not sure.
Since I had some perishables ready for a recipe, I do think I'll go ahead and cook this morning, although nothing that is HRH's favorite, so I don't feel urgent about it.
Really, really want to get back to sewing, though! The light wasn't great for some tedious work after dark yesterday. I'm realizing that if I need to move my cutting board to get out of my own light (I'm in the way of the overhead) OR get that done in broad daylight.
Company comes at 2:00, so if I do a little baking, actually, that might be welcome. We'll see.

Reminder to U.S. folks - you may be getting an insistent call today!
Everyone who is near a cell tower (most) will find that at 2:20 EST today their cell phone will have the familiar (but LOUD) tone of the usual tv/radio emergency alert sounds. Just have your phone near you and agree that you hear it (smile), and it will immediately stop. OR have your phone off or on airplane mode from before 2:20 all the way past 2:50 and you won't even hear it. (that might not be wise, though, just in case someone needed you)

Re: WE Get it Done Wednesday PWYC
Good morning!
I am thankful to wake up feeling better. I still have the sores inside my mouth, but my energy level is improving and the brain fog is better.
I found it interesting to note my health markers reflected what-ever-this-virus-was. I hadn't updated my health markers since Sept 28th so I wanted to get caught up and started filling in the numbers this morning. WOW! The numbers show when I don't feel good. I often wonder if I am making things up to give myself an excuse to laze around. Nope. The numbers are cold hard facts giving insight into what is happening in my physical body. The numbers haven't returned to normal, so I know what-ever-this-virus-was is still having a physical effect. My lack of energy & lack of desire to get things done isn't made up in my mind.
I haven't tested for covid because I have no fever, sore throat, cough, or sinus stuff happening. Our symptoms are sores inside our mouth, fatigue and mental fog. If I took a guess, it would be Hand, foot, and mouth virus because I've heard it is going around our community. DH and I are holding babies and playing with toddlers for a couple of hours a week so it would be easy to catch from them. If so, it must be a mild case because we don't have fever.
TADA's -
** DD12 up, hair washed and delivered to school
** been outside and taken care of the rabbits, harvested the okra, push mowed a round in the back yard and watered the garden.
** washed sweet potatoes, sliced them into rounds, added oil/spices then put them into the air fryer to roast.
** DS15 interaction as he started working on homeschool assignments
Weather forecast good news - We will get some much needed rain.
Weather forecast not-so-good news - We are in thepink zone to get 2.75" hail(baseball size)

Slept in some not as much today a fit sniffly.
QT & planning & journal done.
I need to mop.
Want to get to the bathrooms.
And vacuum the basement. Done.
Took my vits.
I have projects to sew a seam on time will tell.

Re: WE Get it Done Wednesday PWYC
I've walked the ddog. Dfriend M and R uby and I walked together for some of it and caught up.
Yesterday I dilly dallied the day away. I didn't want to work on HOA stuff so spent some time on temple cemetery, then some time down a fun genealogy rabbit hole. A confederate Medal of Honor winner who never actually served in the military? Perhaps. In the afternoon I had a hard workout and I was tired. Trainer pushed me a bit and I felt good about it. Tired, but good about it. I do so many different things in a workout it's hard to describe because they keep me moving. I say She because it's usually a young woman, but sometimes I get the male, who is usually more conservative. Dfriend M comments that I look good, like I'm losing weight and it's mainly that I'm trying to keep my core tight more.
,
I really need to do the HOA stuff today and get back to what I really need to be doing, in my genealogy life.
I'm glad you're feeling slightly better, LadyM. DD had a particularly bad case of hand, foot and mouth virus when she was in kindergarten, had high fever and felt lousy. It's telling that your health markers are off too.
bw2, how sweet of your dd!
Harriet, thanks for the reminder about that noise today! I always am startled by those things!
And Cathy, I'm trying to decide on our supper, I don't think he'll go for burgers since we had brats on Sunday p.m. I'm leaning toward fish - quick to thaw and easy in oven I think.

Re: WE Get it Done Wednesday PWYC
I harvested half dozen bell peppers and used them to fill the rest of the roasting tray. The okra I harvested earlier filled about 1/3 of the tray and I needed something to add. Earlier this morning I roasted sweet potatoes & onion slices. I might need intervention for my addiction to roasted vegetables.
I have some salmon and cabbage rolls in my leftover stash to eat today. The family isn't fans of those, so I get to eat them all. I'll cook some cheeseburger patties to add to the family ready-to-eat foods. Tonight, the meal with church family is hot dogs and chili. I'm taking a pass on that food so will just grab a drink and enjoy the talk at the table while others eat.
Homeschool is going smoothly today without any problems.
