Healing Wednesday PWYC
Healing of body and spirit is our goal for today.
Prayers for healing of course, of Harriet's ds, but also all of us who need healing, whether rashes, body aches, migranes, all that ails us, and those whose spirits are low or off.
Self care of course, is part of our own healing and wellness.
It goes without saying, healing for all those in our broken world as well.
(So sorry to get so philsophical here in PWYC)

Re: Healing Wednesday PWYC
I considered much of yesterday to be a self care day - workout and body work and my hip was better overnight.
I'm trying to get an earlier start today so I can get upstairs and work on revisions to Q article and be done. And get some of that guilt/weight off my mind. Our dinner is grilled boneless chicken thighs, roasted broccolini and roasted butternut squash.
Dog has been walked - I'm at 3200 steps. Probably won't make weekly goal which is okay. We were away two days, and with an achy hip, I shouldn't push myself. Yesterday was a fluke by the time I walked dog, worked out and went to grocery.
DDog saw/smelled something on the far side of our little wall this a.m. that upset her terribly. We endured frantic alarm barking and she took awhile to settle down. Last time this happened, I thought I saw a kitty cat back there.
First load of laundry in dryer, need to fold yesterday's laundry and then brunch?

Twins - Thanks for the start today.
My focus this morning was DD12 picture day prep. DD46 came around 6am and did DD12 hair....which DD12 immediately undid and turned it back into her preferred wild hair style. I got the picture order form filled out and paid. DD12 was pleased with our effort when I delivered her to school.
DS15 arrived home safely last night from his trip to the city with another teenager. It was about 10pm when they started unloading over a hundred boxes of tile. Once he was safely back in our small town then I went to bed.
Late night with DS15 followed by an early morning with DD12. Such is my life. Thankfully I have the ability to sleep like a log once I get to bed. I immediately fall asleep and most movement/noise by family & dogs doesn't wake me up. I got 7 hours 40 minutes of good sleep last night.
Today I'm cooking meal for 125. It is the simple meal that I make once a month for my church family. Baked potato bar and/or loaded nachos.
I need to get potatoes from store this morning after I go to the gym. Then at 2pm I will start the food prep. The thing that take the longest is baking the potatoes, beef brisket and cheese sauce. All the other toppings are quicker and easier to prepare - Cubed ham, shredded cheese, sour cream, butter, salsa, chopped onions, and sliced peppers. Desserts are cookies, pies, cakes brought by many.

Re: Healing Wednesday PWYC
Hi!
We've been to the landfill. Now I think I might go through some drawers and cupboards and see if there is anything tossable.
It's overcast here today. Wind isn't too bad, so maybe I can find some stuff to burn. I have 1 bag of cardboard and paper that isn't even full.
Supper tonight is pork chops and dh wants to start making his "stew" which is a sad and thin concoction with little flavour. He's anxious to do it, and then he eats it on the first night. I think stew is better on the second night. The stew is supposed to be for tomorrow night, but if there is any left, I will be shocked.
I really need to do a sinkful of various small things, like sharp knives. I also need to unload the dishwasher and reload.
Boiler repair is scheduled for tomorrow. I think it's cold in the house right now, but dh isn't. I started the fire yesterday when he wasn't home. I will let him start the fire today. I think another load of wood needs to come in.
I have a knitting class (2nd of 3) tonight.
...
Dishwasher has been unloaded and reloaded. Dh is on the bed having a nap.

Re: Healing Wednesday PWYC
Good morning! Dragging today. My legs are aching, and I didn’t want to get out bed. As DC is fond of saying (though for different reasons), “Gravity — my nemesis!”
I’m glad you’re waxing philosophical, Twins.
Glad Harriet’s DS is home and all went well. So sorry to hear about Rose’s dear one. And hoping Harmony is able to get into the doctor soon! Quick healing for Cathy (ouch)! I’m so sorry to hear about blessed’s dkitty. Which of you is it who talks about missing The Most Important Person? I’m sure that’s what I’ve done.
My eyes will not stop watering. At first I thought it was due to reading without my glasses, but it happens with my glasses on, too! I’d take an antihistamine, but I don’t need to feel even more like I want to tuck myself back into bed.
DD has had a virtual appointment with the psychiatrist; DC will this afternoon. This is their old one, who will not take our insurance. We are still looking for a new one who will. Still, it is a load off my mind that they will have their meds. I have to call pulmonologist’s office back; their scheduling system was down yesterday.
Speaking of my children, I need to get DD upstairs working on her room; she’s getting out of the habit, where, for a while, I didn’t even have to say anything.

Home from gym and grocery store. Getting back into the habit of exercise is not easy but I am always pleased after it is accomplished. I got up to 15% incline today on treadmill and my legs are feeling the workout.
I'm going to intentionally take a couple hours of down time because the rest of my day and evening will be nonstop.

I agree, LadyM!I am always pleased after it is accomplished.
So many of us needing healing! Our bodies aren't getting any younger, are they?
I'm upstairs working on the Q article. I have a timer going, this is break time.

Twin's, 14 words is not too much philosophy. Bring all you want. Thanks for the opening.
Mystery, clari tin type med, perhaps?
"I always eat badly before my doctor's appointments"
sometimes, me too.
We're home from morning appt in big city - uneventful. And were getting ready for afternoon appt closer here, when it was cancelled because of sickness. There were several places we did not stop on the way home because we thought we really shouldn't take the time.
Oh, well.
lucylee, I DID look at your accomplishments
my goodness, good job.
In fact, it made me remember I didn't get to tell about mine yesterday because the day was wildly different and off-schedule. i still managed to get trash day handled well, even kitty potty although Tobias has a new cat-mat (for clean paws, no tracking? ) that I didn't get to change out yet.
And I worked on sewing for an hour or two very early yesterday, knowing time would get away later. Oh, and just before that I walked.
Now, newly freed up, HRH wants me to come make a grocery list with him. He's got a craving for lasagna, and it would take several things I don't have on hand.
Cathy, speaking of husband's ideas of meals, what if you added some last-minute multi-seasoning to your own bowl when you have the stew? Like a Mrs. Dash specialty one, that sort of thing. Shouldn't offend if you're just shaking some seasoning. (smiling at your description of stew) Also, if you tell yourself a thin stew is soup it makes the consistency better!
okey dokey, time to polkey
