Wednesday... wavering? wishy-washy? There is really no W word for me right now. I'm kinda just drifting along in the doldrums, I think? Yep... that's me:
"a state or period of inactivity, stagnation, or depression."
YES, I hear y'all -- LUCY HAS BEEN IN THE DOLDRUMS FOR WEEKS... FOR AS LONG AS WE'VE KNOWN HER :!:

I don't know what it is. I'll have days that I get a lot done, and then I'll have LOTS of days that I just can NOT make myself get going.
Maybe I should keep more of a journal of what I eat, how I sleep, on those days that are busy and productive.

At any rate, right now, I would be still sitting in the recliner, eating junk, and playing on my phone, if a friend down the road had not called to check on our internet. I * think * we're good -- haven't tried to send this yet, of course, but she says hers has been out for almost a week!
I came in here to check, and then opened and printed a church email I knew I needed, and NOW, I am going to type the minutes for the two meetings I've had this week.

I sooo want to be like you, LadyM, and set hourly goals and DO THE THING... but ^^^ there I sit.

Anyway -- I am setting a goal! By 4:00 pm CST, I will have typed all the minutes and emailed to the appropriate people.
Tomorrow is another day.

Hello!

Belated birthday wishes for Cathy and Sunny, and belated anniversary wishes for lucylee.

I have not been productive today at all. Part of it is not being able to keep a thought in my head. The rest of it is not doing things even when my brain can see what to do. I don’t know whether I am depressed or not physically up to it, or just plain unwilling.

I think DH’s work on the dishwasher did not take. So there will be dishes to be done and calls to be made. I am not sure, though (and DH left his phone in my car, so I cannot text him to ask), so I am not touching anything yet.

My head is too buzzy to say much else. Meanwhile, my body just wants to go to sleep.Very frustrating. Have a good evening, everyone!
I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped. -- Prince Humperdinck

Thank you -- but you're not belated, Mystery -- our anniversary is tomorrow, the 19th. But tomorrow is the ONLY day we can celebrate ds' birthday with everyone, so dh and I decided we'd call last night "our" celebration.
And boy... IKWYM --
I don’t know whether I am depressed or not physically up to it, or just plain unwilling.
Probably a lot of "unwilling" with me. I don't know what to do with me...

BUT -- it took about an hour and a half, LadyM, but I did get the minutes typed for both meetings, emailed to interested parties, and saved on my back-up usb drive.

While I was doing that, dh took care of clearing the dining room table (which he SHOULD do, because all the stuff is his, except the flower arrangement and table runner. He keeps his bp machine and his Bible and devotional material on that table.) He asked me to move the two extra chairs to that table. So we've got 10 chairs now, for POSSIBLY 11 people. There is a window seat in the dining room, where at least two people could sit. We know we will have 10; we just don't know about d?nephew. He never will commit to anything dbil asks him to do.
That is why we are in such a worry about Friday. If he ends up at the College Town when it is "supposed" to be OUR night... dh and ds are going to be sooo put out. DH said we should tell dbil we're going to stay Saturday night too, when it's "THEIR" night.
I know dbil thinks one young man doesn't make that much difference, b/c there's what he thinks is their bed, unused... but ds really wants to use it, LOL. And dh reminded me that last time we were down there with dnephew, he and ds flipped a coin for the bedroom, and ds won. So dnephew took to couch -- but then dh and I felt like we had to go to bed earlier, and dnephew got up and CLOSED OUR BEDROOM DOOR after we went to bed. DH did not like that one little bit -- he has to have the door cracked about 4-5 inches or he gets claustrophobic.
My goodness. Y'all pray with me that dnephew does not come in on Friday. Why he can't ride down with his dad and his sister (whom he only sees a few times a year) is beyond me. He's such a fair weather fan anyway. Refused to come to the Georgia game after we lost to Texas A&M.

This hour: (before church)
* Make-up
* Dust * quickly * in dining room and den
Tomorrow is another day.

The meeting today was not stressful but ended with more questions than answers. Traffic included so much roadwork. They are putting in some kind of extensive change so it took forever to get home I just picked up some takeout to help.

At home continuing to get ready for company tomorrow. Although we have 1.5 baths, the larger is really the only one appropriate for offering to a lady who has been traveling. So I tried to look at it with clear eyes and neaten and simplify.

Swept back porch, shook mat and swept steps. Only when I was finished did it dawn on me that doing that on the autumn evening before a morning eye appt probably wasn't smart.

Appt tomorrow is 10:00 am and HRH must go with me because it takes both to figure out the weird trip.

hello d mystery. you may have a combination of both - physical health can make a huge difference on our brain - it can bring about depression as well.
I hope tomorrow is a much better day and you get a good night sleep tonight!
praying your dish washer works again soon!!!

hello d Lucy!!!
happy early anniversary to you!
praying you d nephew does not come in on Friday and that all works out!

hello d cathy

hello d harriet!!!

dinner was spanakopita by ina garten and greek salad also by ina garten
load of dishes in dw.

dh had a conniption about me using his eggs - I used 4 and he has 10 left over. he then immediately told me to put the eggs away! he was frustrated by me being flustered by his reaction of not letting me use his eggs as I ran out of the community eggs without knowing.
He also was upset that we were going to feed all the dogs together - he always assumes that the dogs are hungry even when they just ate. It made a problem with dd's dog as dh insisted on feeding our dogs.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

HRH can be a little possessive of eggs, too, blessed, but I almost never use any anyway. Today was an exception because I made a simple one-egg omelet (just the scrambled egg, a little almond milk and seasoning) to mimic yesterday's breakfast with ds. I had ordered what they called, "California Muffin".

On an English muffin, the egg, a slice of tomato, slices of avocado (about a third of a small one). I had no Hollandaise sauce nor desire for it, so I garnished with broccoli sprouts. Sent a photo to ds and he thought it was a hoot that I would do that. Said it looked more appetizing than theirs.

I'm really back because I wanted to tell a TaDa:
I made Tobias a DIY potty house out of a large cardboard box, going by some youtube DIY videos. Very tall, with a high window in addition to the door, to keep from being scary to him, and airy. Each of those has a curved top, because I can afford nice architecture, done in cardboard. He has always had a night light there anyway at the near outlet, and I made it large enough to encompass that light. My hope is that when it's not very light in the room otherwise, it will seem familiar and lighted enough to get him to accept it. It just lifts up and away, so in theory will be easy for us, and when it quits being helpful, we toss it without cost. The main thing is the attempt to have a screen from the rest of the room and all its uses.

On the wild chance we love it, I'll use some adhesive paper to "side" it.

It is 10. I want to go to bed. If I do I will have to be up at 6 for sure as I have 10 pages of notes to summarize from today's 3.75 hour meeting.

I got home just at 5, slightly shell-shocked (there was a terrible revelation by the minister of an email he'd received from someone I simply can't imagine saying such things.) It took 100 minutes to come up with an idea and cook it (but it makes leftovers for the freezer AND dh also made up burgers for the freezer too and I washed up all the prep dishes to clean up at 8 was easy.)

That's when I opened my email and discover two more transgressions had happened and had those added to my to-do list. I respectfully put in a request that someone stop sending any email until we can talk (before 10:30 tomorrow morning) and respectfully put in the request that I be put at the top of the agenda at the 10:30 meeting and that the proposed agenda be adjusted to remove relitigating the past disasters so we can wait to see if this week's changes improve things. (I had said having a 3 hour meeting to make changes and then asking for more feedback when changes are no longer possible for this week was duplicitous but toned it down to "not fair.") Finally I emailed the pastor to tell him I had requested changes but if, in his wisdom, he would find the agenda item helpful, I would bow to his wisdom. Also that I was aware of the transgression that happened while we were meeting with him today and was awaiting for inspiration from God on how to deal with that. (Plus I thanked him for the time he gave to us today.)

I also let the person requesting a call with me today (he originally requested it last Friday) that it would be tomorrow afternoon and since he's local, could we make it a 'walk and talk'? He agreed.

So it have been a concentrated day. This morning before the meeting, I tried on my outfit for the wedding that requires the mending of the blazer and got that mending project started and am praying it will get finished before the wedding.

Oh my goodness, (((Kathryn)))! That is just awful! Maybe the changes made WILL make a difference and everyone can calm down at your church.

Dh and I went to church — just normal stuff, thank goodness.
Then I finished dusting the main area of the house and helped dh upload 12 sets of basketball tickets to sell online. That tried my patience, let me tell you.
Tomorrow is another day.
