Re: Thursday Thoughts PWYC
People will certainly see my imperfect house tonight…
We are rushing around right now. I’m waiting on DH’s haircut, then I’ll get mine.
Then he drug store — refills and flu shots…
Then pick up cake and some other things at Wmart…
Then ds’ party tonight. He’s picking up pizza.
Dnephew will not be at the party but he’s still sending no clues about Friday. Sent his regrets, but no “see y’all Friday” or Saturday or anything. ???

Happy Anniversary LucyLee & DH!
I have walked ddoggo around the block checked my bs it is great now! I got a few more steps in the back yard walking about it is pretty dewey out
my yard is shaded till afternoon. Glad I got my bangs trimmed and my hair is mostly dry now. My package came
it fits wahoo!
Happy about that.
----
CI / update got the iris in front where it's dryer watered and the grass too.
Got my steps in for today trying not to over do it a bit of a sore knee.
I rested a bit and that helped.
I am "on call" for possible car pool.
Took the towels out from under that sweater I hand washes this morning pleased with those results.
Picked up a few twigs and plants in the front yard as well
Catching up on a series I've been watching.
I got the last two drawers in the fridge washed out yea!
I swept the steps in the carport and front of the house.
Swept the steps to the basement.

Re: Thursday Thoughts PWYC
I've survived the day so far and should be in the downhill to easier stuff.
It took 5 full typewritten pages to summarize yesterday's meeting and took almost as long as the meeting to do so. There has been one change, not because what I was wrote but because the harsh wording may stifle reconciliation and backing people into corners or choosing inflammatory words is not the wise choice right now. I had highlighted that section to get the response of the others.
I took over the beginning of the meeting this morning, opened it with prayer, reminded people to be considerate of our staff and that people are making changes so constantly bringing up things even if they happened just this week is unfair, we need to give time to measure results. My email from last night to the chair brought an apology to the new minister. And after, I privately spoke to someone who had stepped on toes (yet gets upset when they have their toes stepped on.) There is an assumption that people are not doing their jobs and we need to start pushing back on that.
After the summary was written I went for the walk and talk. It is a beautiful day here and we chose to walk through the woods and paths instead of the city streets which was an excellent choice.
At 4:30 is the pub night with other residents (at a local pub) and we were invited to walk over but I don't think I can do that and still make my 7 p.m. meeting at the church. I'll check with dh when he gets home.

Re: Thursday Thoughts PWYC
Happy Anniversary LucyLee & DH!
I am enjoying doing the hourly goals and rewards. It seems astonishing how much I can accomplish while still reaping an abundance of rewards. My rewards can be anything that brings me joy.
** Dancing in the kitchen
** Cranking the best of Neil Diamond up on high
** DH cleaning up my mess in the kitchen
** Watching a sourdough how-to video
** Feet up in the recliner
** Sitting at table eating lunch with DH while having an enjoyable conversation.
** Visiting SHE village to cuop and post
I decided on a phone for DS15 and got it ordered. Our requirements were not huge. I wanted durable, rugged and make sure the phone would be receiving security updates for at least 3 more years. DS15 wanted a phone that consistently works. He has lost confidence in his phone and is frustrated with it. After doing some research I decided on Galaxy XCover6 Pro. I'll give the phone that DS15 is currently using to DD12 so this phone purchase should solve two problems at once.

Thank you for the anniversary wishes, LadyM!
WTG on solving the phone problem!
I so admire your hourly goal system.
Kathryn, you’re doing well, managing all these different personalities. ((( hugs)))
I forgot to add two more stops to our PODA — bank and gas.
Also picked up dgs at the drug store — they were in drive-thru! Dgd has a dermatologist appointment and dgs wanted to go home with us.
All errands done!

Re: Thursday Thoughts PWYC
I'm almost feeling like every workout right now leaves me whipped. I've passed the point, at least for the moment of feeling that the workout is not too hard, not too easy. They're all hard. But not too hard and I feel like I'm doing amazing things for myself. OTOH, I come home ready to be done for the day, lol.
Our supper tonight is hamburgers and chili. Easy peasy.
The rabbi sent an email this afternoon to members saying that other faith leaders, and possibly their families will be attending our service tomorrow night, and that it would be nice to have members be there to be appreciative of their efforts. So dh may want to go. With company coming on Saturday I'm not sure I want to see people on Friday night too.
I'm going to be doing some cleaning tomorrow. Right now, I need fold some laundry, move the load in washer over, water plants, do a few other things.
I've felt very ADD today, going in a lot of directions.
Happy anniversary to Lucylee and Sheldon!
I think I'm going to set a timer and work for 45 min. Good practice for tomorrow.

Re: Thursday Thoughts PWYC
made a nice brunch for mom and she ate the whole thing -
mom had told brother that she took her meds - she hadn't so she took them with me. No medicine means really off.
dd is bringing her back here bc she was getting testy with me. dd knows her so well and when mom is alone, here, in her apartment (retirement village); even though she is busy - she doesn't fair well. In her place in Florida - she knows it so so well and has the same routine but dd younger and her dog are in and out of it all day. dd younger keeps her on a routine and knows what keeps her happy etc.
grocery shopping done. now to put away.
I am making chicken with white wine/mushrooms/etc. small potatoes buttered with parsley, I am not making bread but bought Rhodes bread to bake, green beans, Alsatian carrot salad.
now to be a productive adult!
dh is back to his sweet self. he apologized about the big deal of my using 4 of his 14 eggs. He is a man who has always been particular with his stuff. When we were young he didn't like how I did his shirts - the direction, the hang etc. He has done them ever since we were in our 20's. This is why I have my own tools etc. He is just who he is.
He is a good soul though. We all have our little idiosyncrasies.

Re: Thursday Thoughts PWYC
Thanks, blessed and Twins!
Blessed, your dh shows some Sheldon behavior too, doesn’t he? LOL!!!
Everything is put away, house looks “okay,” and I am just sitting up here in the poolroom— loft of the outside garage — watching dgs play a kind of “hand ball” pool by himself.
Dgd has psoriasis, possibly brought on by arthritis medicine. Of course, it’s better to have psoriasis than arthritis, or the uveitis that can also accompany arthritis… but ddil has called her arthritis doctor to confer about adjusting meds. She’s a tough little girl. Sometimes i almost forget there’s anything wrong with her, but with two shots a week and all these other concerns, it’s a lot to deal with.
