I understand now that I misspelled "Something" yesterday and didn't notice all day! How in the world did that happen?

Company got here in the afternoon yesterday. We ate out last night and didn't get home until 10 p.m. I was worn out and went to bed. The others watched (or slept through) some football. Tonight dh is grilling and I'll roast sweet potatoes and make a salad.

DH has taken them out for a drive or sightseeing today. I need some time without conversation and company! I slept in until 9:20 and they came down shortly after I got up, so I haven't even looked around online this morning. And haven't done a.m. routine mostly.

So I need to get busy while I have some time alone!

Been busy here too. Did my morning routines and then headed to HD to buy some mums. Came home and put them on the pots where I will plant them.

Turned right around and headed to the grocery store. Came back and put everything away. Made lunch and am now taking break. Once that’s over I’ll plant my mums.

Sweetie is having a really off day which means I am too. He’s been trying to pay the electric bill but can’t figure out the difference between billing and due days and he can’t understand it no matter how I try to explain it. I’ve also discovered he’s paid the bill twice. I’ll need to call the power company this week to straighten it out and request a paper bill not an electronically generated it.

I have cookies in the oven and am waiting for them to get done. Then I’ll head outside.

Well, I’ve just realized that Sunday really does come suddenly when you only get four hours sleep.
Whew.
We’re home from church and piano and I’m just debating whether to get a short nap before starting all the Sunday stuff.

Nap wins. Zzzzzzz
Tomorrow is another day.

Hi!

Dh needed to go to BestBuy because he had a problem with his computer. Tech showed dh how to fix it in less than a minute. I went in Walmart while he was in there.

We are having scalloped potatoes with cheese and onions in them. The price of cheese is so high. I'm tempted to keep it out next time.
We are also having pork chops in gravy and corn in a butter sauce for supper. We had Chinese food last night and dh had the leftovers for lunch.

Before we went to BestBuy dh was fussing over getting the grass cut first. He has said it will be the last cut of the year and he will call to get the snow blower put on next week. He also promised to put my snow tires on this week. I told him he could cut it tomorrow, because he would want his computer today plus there are 2 NFL games on today. The CFL games were yesterday and Toronto won and retained their top spot for the year with the Grey Cup being in less than a month from now. Good thing we went earlier as dh is currently sleeping on the bed. I can hear him from here OVER the volume of the TV which is always loud when he's watching something.

I'm in my 8th hour of today and am ready to take my first break. My day has been busy but without any problems. DS15 girlfriend attending church with us added 40+ miles of driving to my morning but it seems worth the effort. We ate at next town Mexican restaurant after church. I will be adding another 40 miles of driving to my evening so she can attend a youth event with DS15 tonight.

The fence fella is here creating a different design for two of the gate openers. He was unable to find heavy duty wheels locally so will be ordering them and returning to install them later.

I have enjoyed my slower paced week and am sad to see fall break end. We return to the school routine tomorrow.

I must have had a secret burst of energy or something. I've filled the dishwasher and it's going. Absolutely all laundry is done and everything is put away and bed is remade. The counter beside my sink is empty. I might even go to bed early and read.

I sat with dh during the end of the KC NFL game and did some knitting. I am at the 3 inch part of the last pattern on this scarf, which is the exact half way point. I don't feel like doing any more knitting today.

I think I'm just so relieved that the 2 knitting groups are no longer on my schedule. I still have 2 on Monday, 1 on Friday and 1 on Saturdays with a new group at a new location. I will still be out of the house on Thursday to take myself to a mall or somewhere because dh is used to me going out at that time on that day. This way I can have 2 hours to get out and go somewhere just by myself, for time with myself.

Cathy, I love time out by myself, I guess because it is so rare!

Church was nice. I really really didn't want to get up but had to because my friend was expecting to be picked up. I came straight home today after dropping her off.

Told DH I would take him out to dinner. We went to the Wa-Wa about 2 miles or less away they just built and opened. We all got coupons for free food and they were expiring today. So DH got a hamburger and I got macaroni. He added fries to his order and had to pay for them. $1.59 for our deluxe dinner which we brought home and ate. I did not go up there because of the free food, it was just something to do together. I thought he would enjoy it. He did not enjoy the standing around waiting as he does not stand very long any more. But it is good for us to go new places and do new things, even if it is just a gas station.

Answered a letter tonight. Brought the rest of the laundry in. And that's about it for what I did today. It's nice to have a slow day once in a while, don't you think?!

Well, I missed your misspelling, Twins'.

Hmmm... noticing blessed's not around today. Hoping her dmother is doing well.

lucylee, you deserved the nap.

Nancy, I have times when I do awaken with a new perspective on something I've been thinking about. Then, other times, I will know that I was dreaming, for instance, and lose the dream fast, wondering if it was the answer to everything, lol. I sometimes awaken with more confidence for a sewing project, as if I've now already done it once.

Last evening, I enjoyed online prayer meeting so much that I looked up the closer-to-me locations for that denomination. I saw some red flags on a personal level, noticing a name from the past and an organization from the past.

When the young man came to visit today, I asked him about it because he's knowledgeable about area churches, and for one of the red flags, he was able to reassure me - made me feel much better. For the other, he was as disappointed to hear it as I was and saw it as a real discouragement. Plus, he has visited there with his parents and as he described it to me, I realized it was very different from the church that I know online.

Dd had already arrived here with some groceries, and they cooked, then they went to a movie. Something about Murder in Venice I believe - okay, looked it up - "A Haunting in Venice". She says it was pretty good, disagrees with some of the criticism. She says it's a little rough to watch, but she thinks I could stand to see it, especially since I'm an Agatha fan.

I put up the new broccoli sprouts tonight. They were downright green from their sunning today, showing the change in seasons that allows sunlight to slant fully onto the windows on the south side of our house.
