Friday Focus to Finish PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

It's Friday again. What was it that you had planned to finish this week? At the finish line yet?

If not, let's go. Get your focus on, and let's finish some projects up! Go! Go! Go!

We were out last night and didn't get home until nine p.m. - I went straight to pajamas to reading in bed, while dh slept in his chair until I got him up to come to bed. So the bottom line is, I didn't do any planning last night and am feeling disorganized this morning.

Yesterday afternoon, still down a rabbit hole on this Virginia Quaker ancestor, I was considering a trip to the library but I don't think I can/should do it. And I impulsively signed up for a webinar this afternoon at two and would like to watch it. And I need a grocery trip and I need to finish those Q revisions somehow. And I just texted dfriend V about what she needs for a brunch tomorrow to watch a local river race. There will be hundreds of paddle boards, kayaks. and such on the river going downstream racing 31 miles in the river gorge. They'll be coming by V and A's river house in the morning, the first race cut off is just above them and is before noon.

Gotta go, ddog is ready to walk!

I just had my first physical appointment with my doctor since 2019. I have an appointment for a mammo, blood work and Celiac testing (family members have it, including my dad, my half brother and both of his children) and I am going back on the monthly Vit. B shots. My current weight is 3 pounds higher than the last time I had a physical. Considering my diet in the past 16 months since dental surgery, I'm happy about my current weight as I thought our scales here at home were out of whack. I was so sure I had gained a lot of weight.

I will be going to knitting this afternoon.

We are going out for fish and chips for supper.

It's warm, windy and sunny here today.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

I got in four laps with the ddog. I'm running behind on steps this week, didn't make goal Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, although Tuesday was only by 150 steps. If I had checked I could have done a little house walking to get there on Tuesday. Walking with dog is feeling tedious because her prey drive is activated by all the squirrel activity so she's excited and pulling on the leash.

Our supper is pork chops, apples and onion, and cooked spinach. On Wednesday, I substituted a salad for the cooked spinach since the salad makings needed to be used.

Dfriend asked me to bring a veggie layered dip (Mediterranean, w hummus and veggies, cilantro, feta, etc.) with pita for tomorrow so I need some ingredients. Wondering what else I could bring and she's not responding....

Dinner last night out was lovely. Lap of luxury and I enjoyed catching up with dfriend. She was married to one of dh's frat brothers for years and years and I adore her. Her sister was with her, also a client of dh's.

Heading to grocery now.

yesterday I barely got things done. I worked but I can't see things done yet.
dd older checked mom's camera's and she I still resting - she was up in the night but yesterday she was really busy with doing the outline of the nativity. I have to take her meds to her soon. She forgot them here last night.

My hope is to finish the laundry
dust
vacuum

I need to get the bulbs in before the frost.

I need to get over to mom's to make sure she is up and about and make her something to eat and give her her meds.

Harmony, would you consider a toothpaste recommendation, maybe in H and F? We know you are not paid spokesperson, lol, but you have gotten some recent info on the whys and hows. I am so sorry your rash is not going in the direction you need and hope you get good info on that, too. You're right that just getting in to see a pro of any level, as long as in the office, does tend to get your "foot in the door" for help.

Had to sleep late because I lay awake for hours in the night. Why did I have to get up in the first place? Bladder. Why was bladder complaining? Poor timing of eating/water yesterday. Why did I eat and drink at the wrong time? Poor planning on a day I was out of the house a long time and bought food that's okay for teens and children, but not what I can eat. So now I feel like my FINISH day was cut short and I'm pouting.

Dd and WonderBoy drove all morning to get to one of the few places he could take his written exam for driving permit. (Yes, I know, how is it possible he's so old.) DangerBoy held the fort at their house and never called, thank goodness. I knew he could. They didn't happen to have any live lessons today.

Tomorrow our house is the gathering point for a lot. Dd and the young man meet each other here early to leave one of their vehicles, then head out for another day of house-considering with their real-estate lady. When they get back, they will go with dd43's family to Truck or Treat and hayride. Then all those who went (I donwanna) will go over to dstepdil's where she has invited them for supper on their patio. While they are gone, dstepson and HRH are going to work on my car if parts are in. If I can lay low this weekend  I can find creative time.

Enjoy choosing places for spring bulbs to bloom, blessed!

Twins', what a fun venue and exciting Waterside Meal with Riparian Entertainment (Hyacinth of Keeping Up Appearances' name for hosting a picnic on a riverbank - I'm sure you'll be safer and happier than she was).

Today:

Extra laundry
Sewing is on the agenda
Making not-tuna-salad for these few hot days upcoming
Driving out, maybe, to try a g a i n to get the script - sigh
