Monday Monday PYWC

Again, it's Monday. What do you hope Monday will be? (nod to Mamas and Papas, 1966)

Hi!

We have the window cleaners coming today, so I want to take down all the curtains to wash them. Not all of the windows have curtains because some have blinds.

It's very windy and overcast here today.

No idea what we will have for supper.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.

Watering today - checking out my drip irrigation with a full test for the first time. I have one suspicion, so I'll stay out there watching.

A few things to plant. Some stuff to clean up and toss, from the work dd and I did yesterday before heading to her house.

Twins', grateful that you are healing all the time, but I am hoping the pain is managed.

HRH did call his mother last evening and they talked a good while about old photos, etc., even sending cousins some photos by fb while they were talking. She had been on the phone with a friend, finishing up when he called and you could tell it delighted her to be able to say, "that's my son calling".

Good morning

I was delighted to wake up and discover that I had slept soundly for almost 9 hours. I thought it would be a short night of sleep because at 9:30pm last night I texted DS15 asking when he was coming home. He immediately headed home, arriving 15 minutes later. We sat and talked about his doings including a girl that has his attention. We had storms happening all around us that I thought would limit my ability to sleep. Instead, I slept like a baby waking up just in time for DD12 to get to school. #Thankful

I am feeling relaxed and clueless. My day is open and I have hours of time available to me until 3:15. Then I will leave to get DD12 from school and take her to the city for a counselor appointment. DD12 always chooses to eat Subway after counselor appointment so that will happen. I'll bring subs home for DS15 and DH.

I have 2 lbs of thawed hamburger meat that need to be cooked. Our refrigerator is stuffed full of food from yesterday, so I am unmotivated to cook. However, I need to get that hamburger meat cooked. I had initially planned to make a meatloaf when I took it out of the freezer but with the overabundance of ready to eat food available, I am changing my mind. I will just brown it and then I can freeze it again.

I am feeling ready, willing and even a little eager to get started on my day. The structure of what I want to do is in place so I don't need to think much and can just follow the cards while enjoying each of the hours.

I have almost completed all the daily cards. Just a few more to do but I can remove my focus from them and let the rest be done among other things.
I have completed 6 of the 14 hourly challenges so am almost half way through my day.

My day is much easier without homeschooling. Although it isn't free of involvement and interaction with DS15. He has been at work for 3 hours this morning and during those 3 hours he has come home once to chat, called 4 times and text 3 times. He still seeks our input and approval for what he is doing. It is just how his brain works.

The ground beef is cooked and is cooling before I package it.

not much going on here. Watered my flowers and then came inside to work on my DAR application. Need a break so will make myself some lunch.

Yesterday Sweetie took me to the country club for lunch at the country club. The food was fabulous and I ate two serving of roast beef..thin slices...and was some of the best I had. I also ate some of the seafood casserole and it too was delish.

I also had two little bite size cheese cake squares and a slice of a vanilla cake. I'm not much of a cake eater, but it too was delish. It was sliced so thin I have no idea how they got it on to a plate without it falling apart.

Came home and my son and his children came over for a visit and a swim. We all had a great time and Puppy, instead of Poppy, Sweeties name, attention was in great demand. It always amazes me to see him interact with kids...He never had any of his own and he is such a natural at it. Kids always seem to gravitate to him and he is the first one my grandkids run to.

I’m just feeling depressed and wallowing in it. I’m tired of not feeling well and not being able and there’s so many things that need attention after six weeks. We left home on 3 April.

If I’m not better in a week or two I’ll seek a therapist. The one I’ve seen before has retired so will have to find new one.

I just feel useless.

{{{{Twins}}}} I have been praying for you.
One time when LH was recovering we took a trip to the coast with our 1 yo son to see my aunts.
Can you do a journaling voice activated thing.
Maybe order a book.

If you can put a list of things It will help me be motivated to do some of my things here.
LIke chore bingo and you and be the calling out person.

I just cleaned one of the window channels with an old tooth brush it had not been done in eons.
I still have one more to do. I had to use the non brissle end to get stuff out.

Winds have kicked up here & I could not burn trash and did not get the other tsah out yet. Did get my dishes done.

There is a fire in Canada sending smoke east word to MInn. This wind is not helping them.
-----
I have two things to smile about my lover back has popped back In place yea! Feels so much better.
Winds have died down and seeds are mostly out of the tree now yea! I still need to put out seeds but it was too windy earlier.
We still have r. lob. commercials on dang. I had been cooking my own shrimp since LH passed. Used to be my ann, & bday fav. place.

Twins', oh shoot, someone you felt comfortable talking with, and then they aren't available. Well, you are not useless as far as we are concerned, that's for sure.

Noticing Nancy's post, Twins' - she chatted about two things that also crossed my mind, voice-writing (what do you call that - mind blank), and you being our best "caller" for TOTHs, BOTHs and assorted C.C.I.s. As a general rule, you are always ahead of me on things like that and I try to catch up, lol.

Nancy, I was surprised when dstepdil said her sister had taken her mother (they live on the coast) to Red Lobster for Mother's Day. The ones anywhere near us are long gone, but yes, evidently, they still have a presence at a very few places. They had a shrimp deal for the holiday, she said - sounded just like the commercials we used to see.

LadyM, "relaxed and clueless" made me smile.

Ramblin', what fun to have a swim with the children and for the two of you to have such a good splash.

One more plant into the ground, so not a lot happening outside. The clean-up is mostly accomplished - just now thinking of one more thing I wish I'd gotten done before the rain, but I don't think it's really going to be a storm, just wet.

Dd44 has been on the phone to me a lot and emailing, too. Trying to plan the graduation get-togethers for DangerBoy. One with our group and another with her in-laws. We will likely have a cookout on the 25th of May.

Tomorrow Is galoshes time, so mostly indoor things but we need to handle trash and recyclables somehow, rain or not.
