Friday 5 X 7 PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Can you write down five things to do by seven? or seven things to do by five?

Now, go do them!

Hi Twins' Mom! Thank you for opening the village today.

Other than dish control, I don't know what else I could add to my list. I have been trying to purge my non fiction books. Not really finding too many to let go of. I did start reading a book about A. A. Milne by his son, C. R. Milne. He did have some stuffies and a large forest near his childhood home. :D

Supper tonight will be BBQed cheeseburgers.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

-11 a.m. rescheduled Zoom that I forgot yesterday :oops: :oops:
-check for plumber who will work on HOA pool today (ugh. wants check when he finishes today)
-card for graduation brunch in ATL tomorrow am
-change Roomba dust bin and bag and restart it today (I just got tired of fooling with it yesterday)
-get together a return to mail next week

Yesterday was not productive. I needed a nap and the creativity time did not go well. I did make a card for the grad honored on Sat night buy not the Sat a.m. one. I scheduled body work for next week, I am assuming I'll be driving some by then. I did nap, and was awakened by a phone call from the friends bringing dinner last night.

Dinner was brought around five p.m. and was excellent. Salmon was perfection, with green beans, carrots and a wonderful salad. Will use salad leftovers as base for lunch salad today.

-11 a.m. rescheduled Zoom that I forgot yesterday :oops: :oops:
-check for plumber who will work on HOA pool today (ugh. wants check when he finishes today) As it turns out it's too wet for him today
-card for graduation brunch in ATL tomorrow am
-change Roomba dust bin and bag and restart it today (I just got tired of fooling with it yesterday)
-get together a return to mail next week

I also cleaned the middle section of my stamping desk. I was embossing yesterday and the black embossing powder was everywhere.

Thanks for opening today, Twins. I read your first two questions & said yes to each :) . When I read "Now, go do them!" my 7 year old self immediately said, "I don't wanna!" :P I had a productive morning after doing the worst job first. Set my timer for 15 minutes (haven't done this in a while) & cleaned the bathroom. Needed an extra five minutes but was almost done so didn't mind. Also washed towels, put out new Spring/Summer towels that we bought at 40% off over the holidays, mixed up spice mix for potatoes for dinner tonight & vacuumed floors (did the rugs two days ago). So nice of your friend to bring dinner for you. I hope your wrist & hand are feeling better every day.

Hi Cathy & Nancy! :)

LadyM, thanks for the info that F amily C ircle magazine stopped publishing in 2019. I looked for more info on W oman's D ay & was surprised to see that they only put out an issue 6 months out of the year now. Used to be 12; I think they were down to 8 or 10 issues per year when I ended my subscription. Found some comments from people who had billing issues with them recently, so probably won't resubscribe in future. I picked up P ioneer W oman's mag when I was at B&N. Used to be so much cheaper at S am's before they stopped selling mags. Hers comes out 4 times a year for each season which seems just right, & I enjoy them.

Harriet, glad you found your missing Christmas storage card. Your mention of it with the C-1, C-2 labels instantly made me think fondly of the decluttering video Pam & Peggy made years ago where they demonstrated that. :)

Woohoo -- got flowers planted earlier this week before gentle all day rains came. They look so cheerful & pretty.

Making chicken breasts, Spicy potatoes & mixed veggies for dinner. We went to S am's the other day so I'll be cooking two pans of chicken at once & freezing what we don't eat tonight.

~~~Waving to everyone -- hope you all have a wonderful day!
I got the Roomba going again but it stopped again to whine about dust bin. I finally realized the issue was the bag in the base and I think (hope) we're going again.
This has been sitting awhile, roomba got stuck in a corner and had to be rescued. What a pain this has been!
~~~~waving Hello to all~~~~

I haven't recovered from yesterday's time spent at the periodontist office. I'm taking it slow today. They are giving it a week to heal and then the periodontist will check and make a game plan for the next procedures.

This morning we had a conversation with the town police officer. Last night DS15 friend (which we aren't fond of) was stopped and his pickup impounded for a variety of infractions. A few hours later we were contacted by our town police and told a complaint had been received about DS15 driving. We are assuming DS15 friend threw him under the bus so to speak. ANYway, the previously acceptable way DS15 was driving for work with local police approval has been revoked. DS15 will not be driving alone on our town streets for the next 80 days until he turns 16 years old. He will continue driving tractors, skid loaders, riding mowers, etc. that don't require a driver's license to operate.

This driving change puts more driving back onto DH and me. We have made 4 trips out of the house taking DS15 places so far today. I expect to make 2-3 more this afternoon/evening. Thinking..... 80 more days times 6 or 7 trips equal over 500 trips added to my days. I suppose somehow it will become normal and fit in among the other things. Ahhhh....the joys and trials of raising a teenage boy.

LadyM I hope your ds realizes that this "friend" isn't worth knowing. Especially after the friend threw him under the bus, so to speak.

Dh has been waiting and waiting for a part to be delivered. I came inside and called the company. Truck was stuck in traffic and they have promised the part will be here in under an hour. Steam is coming out of dh's ears. Customer expected her car back at least 3 hours ago.

LadyM…lessons learned, the joys of raising a teenage boy. I’m sure those of us who had boys understand it.

I went to my class and then to my coffee gathering. Came home and did more laundry. Need to put the sheets back on the bed.

Hung out with Sweetie for a while. Then we had works over to trim our tree out front. Fun to watch and the tree looks great
