I am up on time.
First thing I am happy that I got the branches moved to an area I can cut them to fit in the trash cans a wagon load.
Did my journals except bujo it is next.
Got to the new testament in my audio this weekend yea!
Taking a breather today and doing a bit of catch up.
Had bfast & spiffed the kitchen up.

Good morning, Twins'. Smiled to hear you complement "sweet dog" yesterday. I wonder if she has been aware and concerned about your wrist.

Hi, Nancy.

We had a brief crisis when, in our attic perhaps (?) or outside, there was a hatch of carpenter ants yesterday. Dd44 came over with her trusty borax and mixed a sugar-water "recipe" with it here, then dipped a folded paper towel. HRH taped the 3"x3" square near where we could see they were entering the house at a tiny crack at the fireplace. That was that, although we did vacuum all that had gotten inside up until then, and take the vacuum straight outside, of course, to clean it. I was surprised at the instant attraction to the borax and sugar, and the turn-around of the ant-line to leave.

Honestly, I have never kept borax as a household item. When you say "borax" to me, I just see twenty mules and Death Valley Days in old black and white image. But while dd lived nearer the coast, she learned from her dmil to keep it around.

Dstepson sent us photos of the work in the garage of dd's new house - he worked with the young man and dd. Good grief, what a change. A first coat of interior white paint, then shelves along the back wall for "tote" type storage and a kitchen-like arrangement of upper and lower cabinets around a window on one side.

Prayer meeting was very meaningful last evening. The minister had some wise thoughts.

This afternoon is a grandboy birthday party. HRH jumped ahead of me, ordered from A-river "wish list", checked "gift wrap" and says that he stopped me from spending 6 hours wrapping a present. It is sitting by the door, as unimaginative as possible, sort of a drab gray monochromatic plastic bag with a stingy design of barely colored rectangles that I assume are to look like confetti. Top of bag cinched up to form a topper in lieu of bow. Honestly, I look at it and I feel creatively d-r-a-i-n-e-d. In fairness, dd got another for a wedding present and in the larger size the bag looks a little better.

Dd took off this a.m. to try to make sense of a crisis an old friend is experiencing. She will be back in time for the party, she insists. I can't help but feel a little put out over this. All her friends know she has zero time or bandwidth right now, working full time and trying to do a thousand things for wedding and new home. This particular young lady has a history of craving attention. But, dd knows all this. Maybe she can help and still salvage her day and breathe sometime.

Nancy you do stay busy: yard work, journals, cooking, up early and on track!

We are going to the river this afternoon around one. I hope to not stay all day because I'm just so tired. I don't think dh understands that although I've been out of the house, most days aren't like yesterday. Over a month and I feel like I have no stamina for just ordinary things.

Yesterday was a long day. I was awake at seven this am and went back to sleep until 9:30. I woke up then feeling almost disoriented - was it morning? still night?

Harriet, my sweet dog is mainly concerned for her walks. OTOH, her favorite perch in the house id our bed, so while I've been there she has been pretty happy too. I'm excited for your dd's garage too!

CI got my first 1,000 steps in.
Listened to a pod cast of 4 preachers got some good info. that helped. Some not so much was out of date on the last mo. oh well.
Bread dough is on the 1st rise it is cool and having the oven on today is a bonus.
Put on work indoor pj's LOL!
I was tired last nite and went to bed half hr. early.

Did a round while waiting on the water cut branches down tossed em over the fence by the trailer, then went round through the carport and loaded
em in the trailer. Emptied out a half can tote thing on wheels in the trash of weeds, & the branches from roses I pruned off yesterday it fit yea
and emptied out two containers for weeds later.
I'm thinking I can bag up weeds from cans & put em in the trailer till the trash can has room for em next week or later on then I can continue with the other things that need em. So glad for the rest I had this weekend.

It was a very foggy start to the day. That fogginess was a cause for concern in our area last night as numerous people thought there was a fire nearby. A lot of fire departments got called, sent out trucks to look for these reported fires and never found any.

We did NOT go fishing this morning although it has been discussed that dh would like to go. We have 2 dozen worms waiting to go as well.

This morning I finally got the living room book shelves reloaded. I am donating a LOT of books this coming Tuesday. Dh doesn't want me driving around with the weight of all the books in my car. Trunk is full and back seat will get loaded at some point in the next day or so. I don't have any more shelf space for fiction, but I do have spaces in the non fiction, which is okay.

Dh and I went to get him some fruit and the store was packed. People tend to panic if a grocery store is going to be closed for 1 day.

We have had 2 nights with BBQ, so tonight we will be BBQing pork ribs. I really don't know what tomorrow night will be. No plan yet.

Both of the nursery volunteers were not available today so I took their place in the nursery. There were 6 toddlers so it was a nonstop busy time. I had a pre-teen girl volunteer to stay in the nursery to help me. I welcome her desire to care for the littles but honestly, she caused more work for me. Ohs well. She had good intentions and just needs some experience.

Lunch was quick and easy = Honey crusted chicken nuggets and crispy French fries cooked in the air fryer. It is a kid pleasing type of menu.

Cathy, I once called to report a fog, thinking it was a fire. It really is easily done. The area was inaccessible by car, and all I could do was sit there at the road and think, "what if", so I called.

Cathy, I hope you enjoy your holiday weekend.

LadyM, dd25 used to volunteer in the nursery sometimes as a pre-teen, but I think it was partially because she saw a boring sermon coming, lol.

The party was nice with veggie topping-ed as well as more usual pizza. Peanut butter cake - hmmm... .. Everyone went outside for basketball and mini-drone flying. They were having lots of fun when I made my exit. HRH had us take separate vehicles, but it turned out neither of us stayed for much outdoor ball playing.

Twins' it doesn't matter anymore if there is a clearly stated reason why we feel tired. We're all grown up now with our own knowledge and we see reality just fine. If we're tired, we're tired. Yes, it's interesting to try pinpointing why we're tired, but unnecessary. We're not trying to "make a case" for it, as if we are not the undisputed experts - we are! The tiredness is the reality. If we rest and then feel chipper, that's cool, but if not, that's reality, too.

We had BBQ ribs for supper and I cooked a large container with onion 1/4's and thickly sliced potatoes covered in foil. We also had cold salads.

Third night of BBQ in a row. Tomorrow night I'm going to BBQ chicken pieces.

Dh has asked if I want to cut the grass tomorrow... not really but I will. I'm actually thinking about doing the back tonight because it's nice and dry. I'll do the front tomorrow.

Thank you Harriet. I’m almost weepy at your words. My dh doesn’t often acknowledge tiredness in himself, much less understand it in me. We are home again and I am tired and overheated.
