Footloose or Focused Friday PWYC
Will your day be footloose with you gallivanting all over the place?
Or will you be focused on a particular project or getting your home ready for the weekend?
Right now, I'm neither but after posting this I'll hit the shower.
The plan is for a footloose day, so a walk over to the store (or drive part way and then do errands on foot), a trip to Home Depot to look at caulking options, and then family time with dd's family.
I guess I'll be focused a bit too, since I'd like to do a couple of pieces of the 'stainless steel' contact paper to get a sense of it. I need to review how large the roll is in order to make sure I don't waste it on projects I intend to rip out shortly. Although it wasn't terribly expensive so I shouldn't be too worried about it, I could always buy more.
I need to go through all my 'regular' contact paper (from WM or the dollar store) and put the stuff I no longer want into the my "Stuff Exchange" bag. I now have a bag in the corner of the bedroom, hidden by a chair, to pop things I'll be putting into our monthly Stuff Exchanges. (In November there will be a ton of things since I managed to get half the things I needed for the rental cottage from the Stuff Exchange, including a Soda Stream and 2, yes TWO, queen-size warm duvets, which I needed since I have no warm blankets and bedding for here.)

Re: Footloose or Focused Friday PWYC
Hi!
Thank you for opening the village this morning Kathryn!
I've been doing laundry. All of the clean laundry is away. I wish I could get dishes done the way I get laundry done. I did get the dishwasher emptied this morning. I also did a couple of pots and pans and their lids. Now I have a large rectangular casserole dish soaking in the sink.
Dh has gone to a local smokehouse to pick up some sliced ham. I couldn't believe the prices in Walmart earlier this week for a very small package.
It's very sunny here today. Barely any wind. I don't have a lot of burning to do, so I'm not doing it right now. Maybe later if it stays calm outside.
We are having chicken leg quarters with shake'n'bake for supper.
I have to pick up dh's meds this afternoon on my way to knitting. This particular group has mostly knitters and most of them are knitting socks right now.

I'm mostly footloose here at the beach. I don't remember a trip when we've had such a run of nice days without rain. We've been out (sun screened properly of course) four days so far. Dh is actually considering not going to the beach today but going to the outlet malls instead. I would like to go to perhaps one store at the outlet mall but don't care to spend a lot of time there.
The accounting for the HOA is hanging over me. I've kept up with writing checks when needed but haven't recorded automatic bank drafts for utilities and such, and we have a meeting on the Monday after we get home. As treasurer, it would be nice to have a current financial statement. OTOH, not sure if I can focus, or want to focus. My left hand is better on the keyboard but not back to normal by any means.

Re: Footloose or Focused Friday PWYC
Good Morning!
If I type fast and don't get chatty then I'll be able to hit Submit button while it is still morning.
I am mostly footloose today. We have no appointments today which feels very freeing.
DS15 is at work but I am not sure that he will stick with this job. He is in the country by himself building fence. He called to let me know his phone was going to be off because he didn't charge i well last night. Teenager...alone with no one around for miles ...no phone...in high grass...doing an unfamiliar fence job. Yeah. I give it low chance of being a success. Time will tell if he will stick it out....
My project today is to get raised bed #2 weeded and mulched. It has not been a priority and has been ignored for several weeks, which means the grass is trying to take it over.

Home from taking DS15 something to drink. It isn't as desolate as he described to me. He is doing fence work about 5 miles outside of our town. The boss is working about a half mile away and they can see each other. DS15 has a 4-wheeler to drive and carry fencing tools. It isn't as if DS15 is abandoned in the middle of a desert. I do belief he added a dramatic touch to his work & location description.
On the way home I stopped by the local BBQ place and brought home 2 types of meat and a couple of BBQ Sundaes. Now I have a head start on keeping food available.
I am going to take a break, get DD13 lined out and busy, then return to my raised bed #2 project.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRIET!!!
I’m acting like I’m footloose. Back at the pool with dgrands.
There is so much that needs doing at my house. WHB is apparently just a figment of my imagination… I need to call AT&T… I haven’t been keeping up with my exercise… but I just want to sit, I guess.

Lunch happened.
I am watering in the shade out front before it disappears.
Played with my planner a bit.
Nothing too taxing.
