So great to see Bittersweet checking in with us!
Ho hum, another beach day here. We have an early reservation for dinner and a jazz show so we came in early to shower and get ready. I am fastidious with sunscreen so might have a little color, and I'm also under an umbrella most the time.
Dh and I have another four nights here after our week is done tomorrow. Our friends will leave tomorrow. We thought we would have to check out tomorrow, go to a hotel for Sunday night and check back in on Monday for our four nights, but they have (finally) allowed us to stay here in the same rooms for the Sunday night through Thursday morning. We'll head home on Thursday. Packing up would have been a chore, and they upgraded to oceanfront when we arrived last Sunday so we're happy to be able to stay here. Changing rooms with their luggage carts would not have been that bad tho. (The down side of the room upgrade was that it wasn't available until 5:30isb, which was a problem since we got up super early and got here at two-thirty. (Dh's doings.)
Anyway, I'm enjoying the beach and dfriends A and V.

Twins - I love seeing your beach CI and that it is going well.
I have checked on DH 3 times and he is doing well. He went slower than normal so it took over 3 hours to mow but he is almost finished. I am so very happy for him to be able to do this. Returning to doing normal things is a dream come true.
I thought of Dove as I made macaroni salad. I put an extra number of hard-boiled eggs in it to up the protein macro.
DBro just stopped by to chat. I had a couple things to give him so it was perfect timing to get them out of my house. DBro mentioned a few days ago that he wanted to try mushroom coffee (>>.shudder<<<). Someone had told DBro that it would help with thinking clearly and energy level. I found the highest rated mushroom coffee on A-river and bought a small bag for DBro. I had also bought a jar opener for DSis so I sent it with DBro since DSis home on his way home. Last week DSis was telling a long drawn out story how she has been struggling to get lids off jars. This lid opener is a game changer because it is so easy to us.

I had a very nice nap. Woke up and it was time to go for supper. Burger King is okay and dh loves it, so once in a while is okay but I wouldn't want it every night.
As we got home, dd texted. She wants to come here tomorrow to switch to her summer tires. Since then I have done a load of laundry and some cross stitching.
Tomorrow morning I will need to do the cat litter boxes and sweep/mop the bathroom. Dd won't be here long enough for any meals, other then brunch if she's hungry. We have lots of eggs and bread.

I'm looking forward to ho hum cottage updates starting on Wednesday.Twins' Mom wrote:

In the meantime, the BBQ was a success, we had 18 show up (everyone brings their own food, we just all sit together and visit while we eat, so set up is dragging two folding tables outside along with 6 extra folding chairs from the social room that opens onto the patio.)
I won't get my bookkeeping done today, I'm too tired.
Looking at my schedule for the next few days, I'm going shower tonight before bed, so need to clean up the kitchen now and then hit the shower.

bittersweet, grateful to hear your dmum is better. I'm a broken record here suggesting garlic for respiratory problems, but remain convinced it helped me get over pneumonia. I take capsules when there's none of it in my menu, but I know everyone can't swallow the same. Enjoy the visit from your sister. Hoping your climbing vines bloom sweetly for you. A lot has happened in the village that you might be able to catch up on through J and C the fastest. For instance, sadly, we have lost Dee. Harmony took a bad fall and had resulting further injury, so we look for her return hopefully, but don't hear much. lucylee recently lost her dh.
LadyM, I've never tried mushroom coffee but have definitely heard what your dh has heard. Tell us how he likes it. I do put mushrooms into a few recipes and try to find the nutritious ones. Here, Pub lix supermarket has the best variety of them.
Nancy, good to know your lip is healing.
lucylee, how are you and how is your dmother? Glad you felt up to time at the pool with grands.

Re: Honey Do, Job Jar and Delegating Saturday
Thank you, Harriet, for asking. Dmom seemed better yesterday, but my goodness, this coming week has different doctor's appts M/Tu/W... and I will probably go with her for all of those. I just think I'd feel better knowing she made it to/from okay. If I skip one, it will be Monday, the pulmonologist, because that is a fairly easy in/out for her, and it's just a check-up... just keeping herself on his records and making sure he will write rx's when needed.
Physically, I'm pretty much back to normal, but it has just been a day, and I've been close to tears all day. I'll put it in J&C because I do need some prayers tonight.
