Re: Winning Wed.
Good Morning!
Nancy - thank you for opening the SHE village today.
I've done my early morning mile walking habit that I am trying to establish. That makes 4 days. I can't say that I wanted to do it but I just set my mind that it was going to happen so just get-er-done. I admit to watching my watch and counting down the steps/minutes until it was over. A reluctant mile walk still counts.
I have filled out the paper with 5 things I will do today. It forces me to prioritize because there are many more than 5 things that I would like to accomplish.

Re: Winning Wed.
Hi!
Dh just brought me in 4 tiny strawberries from our garden. Local Ontario strawberries are such a treat because they taste so good. Sure we can get strawberries all year round from the States (California?) but tiny red berries from my own garden are just so special. I enjoyed them with some rice pudding for breakfast.
Dh also checked the cistern to see how the water level is. I told him I'm trying to make a habit of checking once a week after almost draining the tank a couple of weeks ago because both of us forgot to check.
Supper tonight will be Hamburger Helper because I want it. We have had leftovers 2 nights in a row.
I am heading off to Walmart. Dh is repairing his trailer. A neighbour brought over a couple of old picnic tables from his winery so dh could re use the wood. Works for both guys. One gets rid of old wood and one gets to recycle some old wood for his old trailer that had a few gaps in the bottom. We just use this trailer for running metal scrap to the scrap yard every few months.

I agree!red berries from my own garden are just so special
I don't take a dog with me on my walk for a couple reasons. I walk with a purpose with arms swinging and I can't do that if I am holding a leash. I do have a waist leash where I don't have to hold the leash with my hand and that works when I only had one dog. The two big dogs don't understand taking turns and it causes one dog to be unhappy if I take one dog with me for a walk and leave the other one here. The little dog is too small to walk at the speed that I walk so I end up carrying him....which means my arms can't swing.
My frozen high protein/dairy experiment yesterday was a success. I enjoyed every bite last night. Thank you to whoever created that recipe! This morning I made two of them and have them in the freezer. I made an extra one to offer to DH if he wants to try. If he doesn't then I will eat it Thursday night. Today I experimented with putting 2 drops of Peppermint Oil in the mixture while I was blending. I didn't think 2 drops would make much of a difference, but my taste test shows that it might be too much. I won't know until it is frozen and see how the taste develops.
Breakfast was a scrambled egg/vegetable wrap.

Re: Winning Wed.
And we saw a fawn! So sweet, spotted. HRH had tossed watermelon leftovers at edge of our yard and little one was bending down snacking. I'm not sure that's a good thing - who knows whether the little fellow should be eating treats! Mother might be disapproving "don't spoil your appetite!". But it's mostly water.

Re: Winning Wed.
Home from a few errands -
** Bought tag for DS15 2005 pickup
** Shopped with DD13 at local dollar store. She came home with an jellyfish stuffie. >>>insert rolling eyes<<< Now she has 8 hundred thousand (slight exaggeration) stuffies. DD13 recently explained to me that her stuffies represent safety, love and comfort.
** bought 15 cheeseburgers and 4 drinks for DH and the teens
** Delivered 4 of the cheeseburgers and 2 of the drinks to DS15 and a friend at work.
Yesterday I made a pot of my favorite soup and ate almost all of it. This morning I was happy to see a 2 lb loss on the scales. So today I made another pot of soup and will be eating it again today. It is a good thing you can't OD on vegetables.

Ddog wanted out so I started the webinar here at the kitchen counter. I don't like to go upstairs when she's outside by herself. I'm also charging my Fitbit since I'm sitting.

If stuffies are stuffed animals,
, such a very common way teen girls enjoy toys, however space-consuming, and probably one that has those homey meanings to many. No, I don't know what to do when there are a hundred thousand. They make bag-like things to hang a bunch in a corner decoratively.
Nancy, I hope you end up with lots of doubled blooms.
Load of groceries obtained by means of HRH. 2-for-1 offers on things cause storage issues but will slowly work out.
We have inherited an air fryer from the couple, who were given a new one when they've not opened the one they were saving. New one has more features, oven-like. So, nice new thing But I have no counter space.
Realizing I'm complaining - those things are not important.
I know I'm experiencing some downer feelings today because of SB denomination news. They have changed so much since I was SB, when I saw how they used their large influence for good through women's lives/work all over the world. With the authority of Greek and Hebrew texts now more accessible to the average person than ever, they feel threatened rather than grateful by the inclusion shown. They say, "don't look" at examples of women leaders, preachers. They point to certain English translation instead, that says what they want it to say by adding words. One guy was quoted as saying women who wanted to use their gifts in SB were already "allowed" to be (he gave a list of "women's work").
