I had bonus home work today. Did that got my notes done from yesterday.
Watered in front refilled the bird bath.

Read half of one of those legacy books that my mom did and appreciate it so much more now.
So glad I asked her to do it she did a great job on it.
I did one too and mine was like one line answers rolling my eyes!

It is 85* outside now.
I need to do my walk about around the basement still today.

Shopped at home from the freezer and chicken is thawing to cook in the
crockpot tomorrow.

Weeded in the shade just a few min. got by the a/c cleared and now I can think about bulbs to put there in the fall.
Might buy some might thin some from my beds and I could put a volunteer holly hock & onions, violets and lambs ear in as well. Last year I did not do much b/c I knew the roofers were coming now I can plant stuff! I dug out small walnut trees the squirrels "helped" LOL! I have a new weeder for the next area I do. Thinking on that.

Home again. After my pedicure I had to go to temple with the cemetery checkbook. She had called me this a.m. with the news that the backflow device for the sprinkler at the cemetery had failed the inspection and needed rebuilt. I told her that if he needed a check today I'd get it there, and he did. But it's going to get done. Although today is hotter than yesterday I didn't work out today so today feels cooler. Chatted with Rabbi and office manager while there.

On the way home I "rewarded?" myself for the good doctor report by stopping at the Froséry, i.e. a restaurant that serves frozen rosé. A refreshing treat for a hot day. I can't make a habit of stopping there after workouts tho, lol, but a frozen drink does it the spot.

A hour or hour and a half later....dog is walked, we'll grill brats for our supper, and I've cooled down.

Doc says i don't need to wear wrist brace anymore, in fact, shouldn't. I should use hand and arm normally as much as possible. Will have OT evaluation now as well.

Checking In Safe~
Heard a noise like trash cans rolling and wind looked outside to see a very large dirt devil
picking up a trampoline and it went 100' in the air and ended up in a tall locust tree
at the fire-chief's house. They are with out power. I have power. It was quite the sight.
No damage other than the trampoline that has pieces all over.

-----
Had dinner and did up the dishes.
Showered.
I rested this afternoon.

Wow, Nancy - how dangerous. Glad it didn't hit anyone.

:( As I started my watering this evening, discovered that a long garden bed was already soaked, all directly under the irrigation hose. The only explanation is that the fellow who did the pressure washing ignored our instructions and was allowing water to go through that, too, and no telling at what speed/force. I fear it may have blown the hose out and there will be damage. We thought he listened as we explained cutting hoses on and off. I should have handled everything myself this morning, but he didn't announce himself, was already working before we knew he was here, and so it was HRH who was with him, and I retreated. Right now, nothing to do but wait and see.

Started another hose going normally in a different bed and have watered the front baskets.

DangerBoy has had a good orientation set of days with dd sitting in when required. She's home now. His paternal aunt is going to make a trip to take him out to eat tomorrow on his last free day before classes start (she's only an hour away).

His roommate is from Romania, although he's been in this country a couple years. He had to arrive alone by plane with only a suitcase and carry-on. So dd drove him to stores to find linens, a pillow and some other items. He was thinking he would just walk along the highway to purchase and somehow walk back carrying the pillow and bags, all in sweltering heat, so... .. no. DangerBoy helped him shop for the X-long dorm sheets and they did find some after turning the 2nd store's supply upside-down searching to the bottom. Dd was worried it might be impossible in college area. She also helped him navigate the food card system before she came home.

I set a schedule on the network router to turn off the internet to DD13 screens at night. Hopefully I got it set up correctly. Turning off her phone remotely is easy to set up a schedule for that. Time will tell if these changes help her sleep at night.
