VBS Day #2 has been successfully accomplished. The kids are learning the schedule and are 99% easy to guide through the different classes and activities. Big KUDOs to our VBS director who has planned every detail of VBS so well.
I am going to eat lunch and take a break. Then I will decide what the rest of my day will include. I have purposely not planned a lot of projects this week because being ON for hours with little ones can be a mental hit. Decision fatigue is real!
I didn't have time to finish my coffee this morning before leaving for VBS. I missed having time to drink a cup of coffee. I didn't get the garden watered before VBS either. I did walk my morning mile and cooked myself a healthy breakfast, so I had two successes before leaving for VBS. I am in summer mode where I don't have to be ON and doing school before 8am. It is a challenge for me to switch back to school mode for these 5 VBS days. It will be okay.....just observing the facts that I'm not being super successful before leaving for VBS.

Trying to figure out what is next on the time line & for my day.

creative time multiplied by 30 for 30 days each month? That would be really good.
Um... .. seriously... ..
did anyone say moisturizing lotion yet? for wherever dry skin concerns you
purchase happy bandaids to make you smile when you have an ouch
actually, go through first aid items in general and fill gaps in advance for peace of mind
choose favorite recent photo of yourself and make copies, give casually to those who love you
.......this will dilute the possibility of bad photos becoming the ones associated with you!

Emailed faraway cousin - have owed a reply for several days.
Trip out went fine. Didn't make pharmacy after all, but not needed.
Enjoyed a chat with a cousin working outside.
Discouraging to come home to some stressed plants even though I watered as recently as last evening. Wow. So glad I walked around and checked. Got to do it every day.
Indoor plants getting watered one by one since they are set down into water.
To Do
Next up, kitty-potty chores, recyclables and trash.

I don't know why, but there was a power outage from 1:45 until 5:00 today. In other words, I haven't checked FBook yet. It has been extremely windy here today. I'm guessing a tree came down on some wires.
Supper is now being cooked. Liver and onions and dh wanted french fries.

Yes, it was weather related.

Re: A Tuesday To Do Ta Das Together
This is where I am for the week also, LadyM. I was ambitious to think I could increase my step goal this week. I'm getting in three or four laps around the circle daily but I'm not adding many steps here at home because I'm mostly in front of the computer upstairs. That said, I just circled the block with dMillie with temp 96, although our humidity is fairly low for now. I've made my step goal for yesterday and today, but not by much. I was short on Sunday so need to make it up somewhere.I have purposely not planned a lot of projects this week because being ON for hours with little ones can be a mental hit.
I have another webinar this evening for an hour or so. This is a demo of a new software for organization. It's not as much of a fire hose as the day sessions.

Re: A Tuesday To Do Ta Das Together
An interesting idea for a list, Nancy. I'll read those links and think on this for a bit.
I have two:
* About a 5 minute stretching of legs in bed before I get out of the bed at the cottage (can't do it at home on the waterbed.) My back gets really sore after 3 nights there and this means I can walk first thing without hanging onto walls and counters and with almost no discomfort.
* Rinse the conditioner out of my hair when I'm in the shower using cold water and trying to stay in the cold water for 20 seconds or so after my hair is rinsed. On the plus side, it feels great when it is over! (The purpose of this is a minor 'stress' on the body. The theory is if your body successfully handles minor stresses, it will handle larger ones more competently. There is another theory that excessive social media/mindless phone time-wasting is due to trying to self-soothe oneself from other stresses in life. The idea is to counter/reduce the addiction to the phone by introducing other stresses that you handle competently and so you don't feel the the need to scroll mindlessly to soothe yourself. It sounded better in the two podcasts I listened to! The two were wildly different sources and I since they both suggested the same cold shower for different benefits, I decided to start trying it.)
Sorry I was MIA.
Sunday was our last full day at the lake, which included setting up the bunk beds in the 'office' and making them up so I could show the grands the beds are ready for them. The weather was still pretty bad all day so I didn't get out for a walk. Poor dh missed out on his kayaking but managed a walk. Ran into the bear growling at him again. Still hasn't seen it. We learned there are actually 2 of them, a yearling and its mother who has nothing to do with him now that he's growing up. The yearling hangs out closer to our end of the road and comes onto the property from time to time. The mother is about 1/3 of the way to the highway - so more than a mile away.
Monday, we packed up and drove, via back roads, to ds's and picked up dgs. TThe car NAV (and google maps) were both wrong and it wasn't just 2 minutes longer to take that route. Oh, and there was 4 miles of unpaved road as well. It was a pretty drive to do, one time. We arrived just 25 minutes later than planned.
Dgs3 was excited to see us and happily was yelling "bye' to his mother as he rushed us to the car. We had dinner at McD's half way home, then stopped at the grocery store and let him run for a while to try and tire him out (didn't work) and pick up my waiting prescriptions.
We arrive at the apartment at 7:10 nd I had to simultaneously unload and unpack, while baby proofing (this was an unexpected overnight), getting his bed set up (we took his bed up to the cottage), laundry (I had 5 loads to do from the cottage) and keeping an eye on him.
So he got taken to bed an hour late, but went to sleep without a peep in the new bed (an air mattress half in a play tent) when I finally put him down.
Today He woke at 3:30, knocked on his door (the inside) and then slowly opened it to find the gate (and me coming to him.) I opened the gate and he took off, calling, "come on!" and I had momentary fright that he'd be up for the day but he impatiently waited for me to get him another cup of milk and went straight back to bed and slept through until he knocked again at 7:20. I was awake so the day started well today.
We had a bit of a play, an attempt at breakfast (2 bites of an English Muffin, which he had chosen at the grocery store) and then, after I hung up the first load of laundry to dry and started the second, we headed over to dd's and he played for over an hour with his cousin's Paw Patrol toys before leaving the toys and house without a fuss after my 10 minute warning, but refusing to get into the car because he wanted to walk home. A minor bribe and being bigger and a big stronger, I got him into the seat and we got home at noon.
While I was making lunch the drilling sounds which have been noisy all day suddenly got really noisy and then I thought, that sounds like jets. I glanced out the window just as they went by and by the time I got the patio doors unlocked and un-child-proofed, they were too far away to bother getting dgs to look. It was two aerobatic teams, the Snowbirds and the Italian Frecce Tricolori trailing red, green and white smoke. As I finished making his lunch, they came back from the other side of the building in a lovely pattern.
I set us up at the dining table and opened the patio door there just in case. Sure enough I heard them coming, tore the child out of his chair and rush out on to the balcony saying, "Look Planes!" He saw them (the smoke helped) and then he watched until they were out of sight. Didn't they circle around again and come by close to the balcony. I had him in my arms as they came and he had his hands over his ears but was so excited. He watched again, racing back and forth (the side they came from, the side they left on) and then climbed up on my lap telling me to bring the planes again (I think, he still speaks 80% babble.)
Lunch was thus very dragged out and he went down for his nap at 1:15. I hoped he wouldn't sleep so we could take him to his mother and be rid of him sooner. He didn't. When I checked on him 20 minutes later he had climbed onto the queen size bed on risers and was playing with the nail brush that was up there. Dh took him to his mom when she got off her 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. shift.
Then I got to work, doing the final year-end accounting stuff that should have been done last week. I still have to pay the corporate income tax to the government (by Friday) and the bonuses (by the end of September) and then another year will be done.
I kept feeding the laundry and stopped after 4 loads. There are two more to go (sheets and towels from here, I did the ones from the cottage.)
Tomorrow will be that laundry and the rest of my Monday chores.
He returns on Thursday. Plus I'm doing the bubble station at the Beach Opening Party so I have to work on making the mixture for that tonight. One of the reasons for going to see dd was that she had glycerin I could experiment with.
Dh cooked dinner tonight and that is all cleaned up plus we walked over to the grocery store and got Shreddies for dgs and milk for us.
I've also watered the plants and picked up (but not processed) the mail. So I've been very productive today!

Re: A Tuesday To Do Ta Das Together
I have very little in the ta-da category.
I went to town and got the mail, paper, and picked up plates/napkins/tablecloth for party tomorrow.
DDIL invited cousins's wife whom she works with, (cousin's wife had said "ooohh, taco bar, that sounds good!" when DDIL mentioned her Wmart pick up list) and I told her to invite cousin who is making cake and has three children, all within 2 years of either DGS or dgd. We doubt that the nurse/cousin's wife will show, but baker cousin said they might.
She is the one who is supposed to be filing for divorce tomorrow... I hope she does come, maybe it will be good for her to get out and be around people tomorrow night.
It's probably better for me to be around people. I really don't want to do anything at all... BIG case of the donwannas. But before bed, I need to
[x] get dining room set up for possibly 12/13? Easy to do 8 in the dining room and 4 in the
[x] s/s guest bathroom
[x] do a quick once-over in all public areas of house
[x] send dbil/fiance a reminder
EDITING —
Also did 15 min walk away the pounds
Did bedtime routine
Painted toenails with polish from Dollar Tree (oh my goodness this color is awful. Maybe Dgd will like it. Waaay too hot pink. Kinda neon. Why did I buy it? Must have thought I was going to the disco. LOL!)
