I'm home again. It's hot. I spent most of the time inside and there were a lot of people inside with me. And I'm tired of people too! Temp is 96 feels like 107. Ddog is out catching some sun. She'll be in soon wanting to walk.

Bsweet -- I certainly think I could fry an egg on the sidewalk here! Much like Twins, we're at "94 -- feels like 103" here. I'm having a very quiet day, but honestly, it's too hot to be doing anything that involves outdoors, I think. Even if you're on the water in a boat, Twins, it will be hot if you ever quit moving!

(((Rose))) Hope you feel better soon!

Nancy, I heard fireworks last night, too, but could never see any in the sky.

DS and I were talking about how people start doing fireworks so early now. The big thing here nearby was TWO WEEKS before the 4th... then several towns had theirs last weekend... and the biggest church in our county had a big display last night. There are still plenty to choose from tonight, of course, but I don't think we're going to see them. Dgrands have each seen one display with me and DS doesn't want to see them bad enough to deal with the traffic. They were going to have an early supper with dd's parents. DD is working today and all weekend.
We're going to a music festival tomorrow night with DS, and he said they may even be having fireworks there.
It's kinda like Halloween, DS said. Everyone does their celebration early and when the day arrives, it's very anticlimactic.
Unlike Cathy and LadyM's DD, I do enjoy fireworks. One of my best memories is of watching fireworks one year when Other Guy joined our family at a picnic where my ddad worked. But I'm not crazy about the crowds.

Anyway, I"m kinda sad today... sad cause my cousins always leave me out when they get together... sad because dh isn't here to watch fireworks with... just sad.
I did have a really sweet dream though, with dh in it, and that made me smile. And cry.

Harriet, I take some kind of 24-hour antihistamine every single day. Sometimes the one you mentioned, sometimes something else -- usually Wmart brand of whatever -- and I change every few months. A doctor told me it's good to change because you can build up a resistance to a specific formula after so long.
I'm having a lot of sinus trouble right now so I'm not really a good person to give advice.
Anyway, I hope your ear clears up soon!
OH -- and I'm glad you enjoyed the metropolitan ice cream story! Unfortunately, that is as far as I have gone with decluttering, although I did print the list and put it on my refrigerator!

Hope you all have a great day! I'm just going to watch TV and read. I slept all morning and finally got up and s2s and washed my hair. Then I ordered a pizza and some cinnamon bread twists, and I'm probably going to watch fireworks on tv tonight.
Tomorrow is another day.

I am hearing fireworks from the basement.
Watching TV down stairs the upstairs TV cable box stopped working after the movie I was watching.
Found a diff. series I got sucked into.
Did some on my writing today.
Sheets are back on the bed.
Goofed off mostly this afternoon.
Ddoggo is hiding out again.
I will go watch and see if I can see any fireworks from the deck.
I am with LM's dd in that I dislike them as well.

I had a really good fireworks show and all I had to do was sit in my carport! At least 4 different people were shooting them in sight of my backyard. I came inside before they quit.
A little later, I could hear neighbors across the front yard, but I had seen all I needed to by then and I just kept reading and watching tv.

It’s crazy but I’m a tiny bit nervous about going to ds’s show tomorrow with dgrands. I guess I’m a little bit worried that I’m putting ds out, since this means he has to drive and if we didn’t go, he’d ride with the band leader. I’m also thinking how much dh was looking forward to this trip. But I keep telling myself I can’t start avoiding things just because it makes me nervous to do it without dh.
Going to the beach with dmom would have made me nervous even if dh was with me.
Going to a bluegrass festival with ds and dh would be a very normal thing. So I have to keep it up.
This is only about 90 minutes away, and we’ll leave about 4:00 pm and be home well before midnight. Kids are looking forward to it.
Tomorrow is another day.
